Just subb'd to you - been lifting kettlebells for a fair few months now after years on and off barbell/dumbbell workouts. This shows that I have been doing windmills wrong all this time!! I wasn't getting enough rotation... will fix this for next workout though 🙂
What does it mean if I cannot perform this motion without even using a kettleball? Is it a motion most people should be able to do or do you need flexibility training first for the trunk?
does anyone know why the angling of the feet before the windmill? i am much more fluid and comfortable and reach more depth with my feet facing forward

Forward is OK, just have one side a bit further back when you hinge

is there a progression for this.. I think you assume a lot of ability for this video / version
Regression is Bodyweight. Progression is 2 Kettlebells: top and bottom arm hold
