- The charismatic Lahav Shani and the Israel Philharmonic welcome Spanish pianist Juan Pérez Floristán, 2021's Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition winner (an honor shared with Emanuel Ax, Kirill Gerstein, and Daniil Trifonov), to show off his fiery artistry in Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini!
Floristán steps up to meet the challenges of Rachmaninov's de facto Fifth Piano Concerto, the ingenious Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, a whirlwind of virtuosity and tenderness (especially in the famous 18th Variation, the staggeringly beautiful result of an inversion of the main theme).
Super!!!
Excelente 👋Rachmaninov ficaria muito contente.
Great rendition of the Rachmaninoff Rhapsody👍 And thanks for playing this beautiful piece from Ginastera danza de la moza donoza. Hope your concerts in Poland and Australia went well. Still looking forward to a concert by you in Amsterdam as well.🎹🙏
Gran Juan Pérez Floristán!
Great performance❤
Maestro Lahav Shani's genius is matched only by his humility.
I was very lucky to listen to this fabulous orchestra in Haifa and Tel-Aviv 40 yrs ago 👏👏👏
Para mi Juan uno de los mejores pianistas❤❤❤❤
Wow, I didn't know about this work!!
Excellent!
And he may be able to play better than all the pianists listed above, except for Rubinstein, but Rubinstein would like this guy's playing too.
May I please put this on Face-Book mentioning Paramax Films ? 🌷 (Netherlands)
Vastly better conducting than Klaus Makela, whether with Yujia Wang or Yunchan Lim.
Clarinets and flutes are way too loud all the time!
