One of the biggest pieces of evidence for “Dumbledore repaired Hagrid’s Wand” theory for me, is that Olivander himself questioned Hagrid about his wand and looked suspiciously at his umbrella.
I can see the thought behind the Luna being a maledictus. But I just don't buy into it. She'd have already have started going through it during her school years. With the names of her sons with Rolf, it's kind of reaching at best.
I think that is one of the reasons why snape took so much pleasure in tormenting Harry in the first place. To see the look of disdain, anger or whatever in Harry's eyes was to look into Lily's. For Harry had is mother's eyes and she certainly would have had reason to look at snape in the same ways. But what's really creepy is the woman that fancy Snape...
@@doll9340 Yeah. Until that one bad day, Snape was bullied and humilliated by James Potter, leaving him outraged for ended in ridicule. The Snape theory adds a new low to his character as it proves that he hasn't learned or grown since he asked Voldemort to spare only Lily - he would have been happy if Neville's parents had died instead. To be honest though, Snape could have just hated Neville's incompetence in Potions, and the humiliation from Neville's boggart
I know I said it a while back but, I think it's a Weasley Family Tradition to begin Hogwarts with a second-hand wand, not something borne of circumstance. Bill might have had Arthur's, Percy had Molly's, the Twins had Fabian and Gideon's, we know Ron got Charlie's (which may have been a Prewitt wand before Charlie), and I assume Ginny had Muriel's. Of course they don't use it for all 7 years but, it may be the initial three years to build a finer control of their magic. Take Neville for example; We know he had his Father's Wand and it didn't really work for him, yet he was still middle of the pack grade-wise. In less than a year with his own proper wand and he's a powerhouse. Maybe it's not even a Weasley thing but an old pureblood tradition and the reason for it was slowly forgotten over time?
@@bstybyz3 this is more of a “fill in the blank” theory than a “logical conclusion” theory, there’s no actual evidence to this besides the fact that Ron (the youngest of 6 boys) had a handed down wand, but biggest issue is that Arthur and Molly couldn’t just give up their wands for 3 years especially assuming it had only been a couple years since Voldemort’s fall and her brothers were killed by him

Tbh this one sounds like kind of a reach to me. Given what we know about wand lore and how you'll never get as good results with any wand other than the one that chooses you, it seems very unlikely that anyone would deliberately hobble their children that way during their crucial first few years at Hogwarts, when they're learning the fundamentals of magic and developing the core skills that they'll build upon later. It's more likely that Ron got a hand-me-down wand because his parents couldn't afford a new one. Remember that Molly only had one Galleon and a few Sickles when she took Ron to Diagon Alley in the first book.
I always figured Ron got Charlie’s old wand because they didn't have the money to buy him one because they bought Percy two gifts for making prefect, he got both an owl and new school robes, the Weasley’s were so poor, that they bought second-hand books and robes, but yet Percy got a new school robes and an owl when Ron started Hogwarts, and I bet owls aren't cheap either.
@@saphiramystique2086 That's a good point; Arthur & Molly didn't always make good decisions about money even when they got some. Like when they won a bunch of money and spent almost all of it on a trip to Egypt? Come on.
On the Ron the seer theory, he suggests Tom got the award (for special services to the school) for killing Myrtle. And it was indeed killing Myrtle that led to him getting the award, even if not quite so directly.
Small correction, Dumbledore was not yet in posession of the Elder Wand when Hagrid's wand was snapped. The Chamber of Secrets was opened in the 1942/43 school year, and Dumbledore only won the Elder Wand from Grindlewald in 1945. Sure, he could still have fixed it a few years after it was broken, but you make it sound like he already had the Elder wand at that very moment.
I think that Hagrid was also privately tutored by Dumbledore and the rest of the teaching staff to become a fully qualified wizard. When Harry first meets Hagrid, and they go down to the boat to cross the sea Harry asks Hagrid how he got there. Hagrid responded, "I flew." I believe Hagrid kept it simple for Harry so that he didn't have to explain apparating and disapparating to him.
I think the room of requirement is the heart of hogwarts. Its like the room came first as an ultimate "we need magic place with everyrhing we need" spell , but it also built the castle around it as well as a place to safeguard all its acquired trinkets and knowledge.
The Luna one seems a little too loose. A possible explanation but no concrete evidence supports it. Also, people are still making HP fan theory content in 2024?
I like most of the theories mentioned in both videos especially the one about Neville. The only one I don't like is Luna, mostly because I can't stand the thought of her being a maledictus. She's so sweet and a necessary good for the wizarding world that I can't bear to think her humanity would be cut short. I also have issue with Voldemort's Nagini being the woman from the Fantastic Beast movies. I will never stop loving Neville whacking that snake's head off so well that it spins high into the air. I prefer to think that Tom Riddle heard of the original Nagini and just named his snake after her. It seems he didn't acquire her until he returned in GoF, so, too coinicidental to be the original. Just my thoughts.
My thoughts on these: 1) Possible and highly likely: It is in-character for both Dumbledore and Hagrid and Hagrids magic, flawed as it was, was always more inline of someone inexperienced than something trying magic with a broken wand. We know what that looks like with a wand that was less damaged than Hagrids wand would have been. No, Hagrids wand was definitely fixed and Dumbledore was the only one with a wand that could repair a broken wand. 2) Possible and highly likely: the item is too specific to be anything but custom made and the family doesn't seem to have money to have something like built by someone else. Though I'm not entirely sure if a clock would also count as "muggle technology" that shouldn't be enhanced by magic. Clocks are rather practical and we know watches exist without an immediate magical alternative. 3) There are no hints for this, I'm not buying it. 4) Possible, though I do prefer the Ravenclaw theory, in the broader "Every founder had a secret chamber in the castle (Gryffindor's room was the headmaster's office and the Hufflepuff's room is the kitchen) 5) Possible and highly likely, there is just a lot of foreshadowing in the novels coming from Ron, so him being a passive Seer would explain a lot. 6) Possible, though I don't think it is intentional. I think there are whistleblowers feeding Xenophilus information in a way that sounds plausible to Xenophilus and ridiculous to the rest of the country, unless you see through the nonsense filter that is put on them. Fudge executing goblins = Fudge having prejudices towards Goblins and in fact might try to take over Gringotts (something that the Death Eaters would eventually implement). Crumple-Horned Snorkack = some undiscovered magical cryptid (Luna would later on discover undiscovered animals. 7) Possible and highly likely: it is in-character for Snape and would explain a lot.

As with most fan theories they are not widely accepted and are more just popular by a vocal minority. Luna a maledictus? This term was never used by JKR in her Harry Potter books and seems more a contrived fan theory by the writers of the Fantastic Beasts movies as a way to force Nagini (a boa) to have the life expectancy of a witch and so become Voldemort's pet horcrux.
Honestly, my take on Ron is not that he was secretly a seer. The Dolyist answer is that JKR didn't quite know how to make Ron look smart in ways that let him stand out from Hermione, and also didn't quite know how boys that age joke and talk around one another, and just had him be the sarcastic hint dispenser for a lot of his dialogue. The Wattsonian answer is that Ron's more insightful than people give him credit for, especially after the movies' treatment of him. As far as Luna, I think the idea with her was that JKR wanted an excuse to call her 'Loony', and a quick way to personify her as a space case. Rowling's names tended to be a little on the nose for anyone who wasn't part of the Golden Trio's families, but rarely in ways that made you dig super hard for the connection once you saw it. It is, however, possible that Rolf is a werewolf, as Luna seems the type to treat a werewolves kindly and not judge them for their condition even before she met Professor Lupin, and given Newt's habit of rehoming potentially dangerous magical creatures it's not all that unlikely for his son to have been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Especially with Newt's known ties to Dumbledore and Fenrir's habit of targeting children of the Death Eaters' enemies. One of the theories I've heard that makes the most sense to me is that Pansy Parkinson was the one who sent Hermione the bubotuber pus in Goblet of Fire. She spent the entire year being spiteful and vicious to Hermione, and their year was working with the bubotubers, so thats means, opportunity, and motive tied up with a little bow.

But this time, no notes.
Slight disagreement on Snape disliking Neville - I feel like it could have been staring right at another child whose life was destroyed by his passing the prophecy fragment to Voldemort. Combined with the lack of a Lily filter and Neville's nerves making him a poor Potions student, this was a reminder that he didn't need to dance around and could just be horrible to.

Turns out the upcoming series will be trash, with the showrunner stating, that he haven't read any of the books, and also adding that he thinks the universe could use some creative liberties...
Minor note, Sirius is a star, the Dogstar, not a constellation.
True. Its also known as Alpha Canis Majoris and is the brightest star in the night sky due in part to being a binary star.
Wizards do not need wands to use magic. It just makes channeling easier. Dumbledore just probably teached hagrid wandless magic so he would not become an obscures
ron a seer?
in case somebody didn't notice, when you make a true prophecy, you go into a sort of trance and won't remember the prophecy. this doesn't happens with Ron.
snape targeted any and all griffindors
While importent big prophecies are like that, a trait lretty much only trewlarny and ron share is making smaller unconcious prophecies on accident, in rons case it is pretty much always something ment as a joke, in case of trewlarny it gets lost between her trying way to hard.
Just reread the books looking for ehat an insane foreshadowing machine ron is, given clairvoyanc is a thing in that universe, thats the explanation that makes the most sense
@@SingingSealRiana cold reading and random claims is a far better explanation that doesn't even require magic.
everybody and his mother can make "prophecies" that may, or may not, become "true" from your point of view.
even I have made a few that became true and, rest assured, I'm not a true seer.
@@DanielRossellSolanes May be you could be very distantly related to one Sybil Trelawney lol
Also this and the other one was a brilliant video. I can support 99% of this theories. Btw i did not get the blood curse with Luna. When see is going to change her form? Later on or it happend in her Hogwarts years? She will have 2 children, so she wont be a wolf till that day (at least 19 years later) Please share your thougts on this.
I think that Hagids wand is his original wand and it was never snapped in half by the Ministry, because Dumbledore new what was going to happend so he switch the wand whit a dummy wand that looked exactly as Hagrids wand and then had Hagrids wand mounted in the umbrella.
Honestly, these seem more secure than the others. although I'd not thought about Luna or Hagrid's wand before.
If Quirrelmort isn't canon then none of this is.
I so hope you found brians/quirrels incharacter video called "for joe walker"
So adorable!!!
@SingingSealRiana I've never seen that video before. Thank you so much for the recommendation!!!
I don't know why the clock has to be a muggle artefact to begin with. Wizards use clocks too. Nonsensical theory.
Because why not lol
Wizards don’t have dentists..

Make a theory iceberg video for 6 hours!
And Luna never once turns into an animal. And she grows up to literally marry and have kids. She is not a malodictus
They sound possible to me
Disagree there's not really a basis for Luna being a maledictus
Ron doesn’t have seer blood, no he’s a Jedi, lol!

Luna isn't a wolf-she's a fox. It means she's very cute.
As for the theory about Luna turning into a wolf, I am going to pretend you did not say such a thing. LA! LA! LA! I'M NOT LISTENING!
Ron’s wand was a hand me down. Not an equal comparison.

I do not think that ron is a seer. I think his flippant remarks affect probability.
The older I get the more I realize how terrible and creepy Snape was and how insane is was for Harry to name his son after him smh
To be fair Snape was only like that because he was bullied. I'm sure that given enough time for a character arc he could have turned it around
@@doll9340 He was in his thirties, he had enough time to develop as a person and professor
@@ProminenceSmash9and we have seen changes in him for example him agreeing to protect Draco's soul from being destroyed when he was tasked to kill Dumbledore by Dumbledore and his promise to Draco's mom

I can't be the only one who thinks the Luna theory is ridiculous. It's a complete stretch. "theories every fan agrees on" idk about that 😂
Have you traveled to the US to visit Universal Studios Harry Potter world?
I wish Neville was the chosen one 😒
I would be curious to see Snape's journey if Neville was the chosen one. I know that SuperCarlinBro is making a alternate timeline but I wish that JK would make a cannon timeline for Neville
No offense meant at JK but she isn't a good enough writer to have written that plot twist. I would have loved that ending though.

These theories all seem possible.
I hate noone ever talks about what malfoy did with the letter from Bill that would have proved he was telling the truth but instead he took the punishment big plot hole

Last time I had problems with the Molly was deliberately asking about platform 9¾ to help any lost unattended first years, as it can easily be explained as just general good parenting to ask your children if they know basic and important location information, and that this isn't a topic of general conversation because it's so common knowledge, but one should always double check when that information does become relevant.

Hermione is black is definitely one everyone agrees with.
No, no it isn't.
This is a prediction, and a correct one.
It’s definitely not.
@@Grrymjo it’s not correct in the slightest, characters who are black are specifically described that way: Lee Jordan, Angelina Johnson, Kingsley Shacklebolt. There’s multiple times where they describe Hermione as pale, white or red faced
Not to mention the artwork for the Deathly Hollows literally shows a white Hermione on the cover, completely down for inclusivity but not for race swapping; just as equally against them race swapping Lavender Brown after casting black girls to play her originally.
