- The plaintiff planned a party for the defendant’s sister. The defendant agreed to reimburse the plaintiff for the event but never did, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant admits she didn’t even attend the party, but that’s because she went to a winery earlier in the day. The defendant believes the plaintiff is tacking on expenses she doesn’t owe

Yeah, it's pretty outrageous that someone can get someone to plan and pay for something for someone else then stiff them. What was she supposed to do when she got to the place and no one showed up? JM def wrong about this
@@Eltown33 he got it wrong because when buying a table there is no refund…these waiters make money off there tips..there is no way to reduce the tip amount..plus most people do leave that amount for tips especially if they brought a section…bottle girls depending which club or who brought the section make like $1,000 or more just from a section that night.
I wish I would put my money down for something I DIDN'T initiate.

Since the party was for the defendant sister she should have let her put her card down for the hotel & club.

At the end of the case, for the defendant to state “ I’m not a partier “ is besides the point. You reached out to your friend to plan an event and then NOT show up is BS. & yes the plaintiff stayed at the club . . but she would’ve never been there in the first place if it wasn’t for her being the hostess. . Also! The defendant probably knew daysssss before that she wasn’t coming and didn’t open her mouth. She should have paid the whole balance minus the tip
Good example of why some young people are broke. What fool, in their right mind, spends damn near $2,000 to sit at a table in a club and drink "maybe" $100 worth of alcohol (if it was purchased from Costco)? This is exactly what we call "ghetto fabulous" because the money should be put away for their kid's college fund.

Naw see this is why I don't go anywhere and I only have 1 friend and I let him go party,vacation or whatever with his other friends and I'm totally okay not being invited. Just give me the trip details, fun and mess when yal get back and I'm good. I'm too nice of a person so I see how it could have happened but I still think it's dumb first off for the plaintiff to had paid anything out her pocket to throw someone else's family member anything. Crazy for it to be the defendant idea and she didn't come with this is the plan for everyone invited except the bday girl and we all need our cut by this day and time. If you aren't the club person you shouldn't have recommended it to begin with. And she has no sense at all to plan a party and have no plan of how the guest would get there. At 1st, It definitely looked like the Plaintiff was pushing the Defendant into something that she wanted nothing to do with, and I certainly wouldn't blame her blowing the Plaintiff off. But after the details started coming out, the Defendant did agree and had a responsibility to hold up her end. But JM pulled out the whole truth and the Plaintiff did have a party and had no business expecting her girlfriend to pay for everything, including an unnecessary $400 tip to her "new friends" . 😅😂
