Yes that right they go to Ireland the sister is called maggie and maggie son and granddaughter come to stay in walford then connor and mary, connor eventually has an affair with ruth and they run off together leaving walford

Matthew Morgan Well Ruth ran off with the baby and Connor chased after her, and I believe they then got together in Scotland. Ruth was mark’s true love and had they been able to have kids would have gone the distance, don’t understand why Eastenders didn’t bring her back for his funeral.
