To prove that he was given the task to port Sonic to the Game Gear. Koshiro quickly understood that porting it wouldn't be possible without cutting a lot down, so he said he would make his own game. It was then ported to the Master System. The sole reason why the MS version was released a few days earlier was because of the massive success it had here in Europe and Virgin Mastertronic specifically asking to get that version in time for christmas.
This game came bundled with the Brazilian version of Master System 3 and i played it so much, what a great game, thanks for the memories. New subscriber, for sure

With this game, slow was the way for me. Going fast made me embarrass myself too much haha. But I bet if I owned this console and game as a kid I probably would have gotten good enough to go faster.

I always had a hard time deciding slow and explore, or go fast fast fast with Sonic 😆

I always had a hard time playing more than a couple levels before getting bored and turning it off.
