As a dual-sport freak myself, I approve of all of these gift ideas. Even though I'm already fully equipped, I would be really happy to receive any of these things!
I'm so very impressed with your videos. I was sad (truly) to hear you were laid off due to cost cutting of the school district as you were a teacher of special needs children. I love and never get tired of your narrations, am subscribed, and wish I could contribute. Please keep making these wonderful videos. You have a genuine way of speaking to the practical parts of motorcycle riding, and I listen. My only, and "beloved" bike is the Suzuki 650 VStrom. It's my Swiss army bike and does anything I ask, even if under complaint. 👍👍
Picking up some of this gear as a Happy Birthday to myself. Some of the links need updating. Thanks for the great videos to get me through our horrible Minnesota Winter.
those knee / shin guards are legit! I got them over 2 years ago and they are definitely one of the best value per dollar things that I've ever gotten. I've been silent viewer for a long time. I have a DRZ400e myself... with basically every mod :-)
Just ordered the goggle straps 👍 ...used your Amazon link. Favorited the video for when I'm ready for the shin guards, chest protector, and others. Thanks
Nice job Tyler and good to see you back!! I just watch pretty much every vids you did and want to say thank you... I stop the competitive gaming and start working on my bike. Im getting my life back lol!
I know this is late af but eh. Maybe its just my luck, but every fox product i have bought, i regretted, they all had terrible build quality and didn't hold up to even moderate riding, cool name and logo, great marketing, built to sell, not built to ride
I appreciate this a lot. I just got my first bike , a KLR650 and have finally found a nearby place to take her offroad. I realized though, that street gear is a little different from off road haha.
Great gift ideas and general information for all riders out there. I don't know how many levers I have broke. I really need to take the advice and start carrying a spare set.
Toss in a set of Motoz Tractionator GPS’ (best 50/50 tires I’ve ridden) or Adventures (for more serious dirt) and you’re set for traction AND longevity.
Those panniers have been through hell and back LOL! I might also look up that green chili rack if my Immix racing one fails again. I would also suggest rok straps!
If you had to pick between a dual sport jacket vs the body armor like the fox, which would you go for? Its hot here in the southeast but can get cold at times.
Love your videos. Haven't owned a bike since 96 and your channel helped steer me toward my DRZ. In the past, I owned street bikes and CRs, but I was always very close to the truck and tools while MXing or in town on the CBs (all commuting, no touring) so I could always make a quick phone call and be rescued in fairly short order should the need arise. I've watched watched your "bang for the buck" videos, but I was wondering if you could put together a video of ADV gear starting with most important to least important. What would you do first, second, third, etc. And why?
one thing i dont see and it is around $15 thats a sadle horn saddle bag versa packs vp125 fits a DR like it was made for it should fit many more and makes a great tank bag
Hi, You should do the links for the Europe sites as well, we get f.... by the tolls if we order from the US. thanks for a great channel and also thank you for the stickers you sent me!! B/R Jonas (Denmark)
Really interested in getting a kit 650 I’ve seen lots for sale. How risky is buying one older then 2010 with over 30km on It? I’m planing on taking a big trip and am wondering if I should strictly buy newer. Any feedback is appreciated
I recently bruised a rib on my side and am looking at armor. I especially want side rib protection. The side rib protection on the TMS armor pictures doesn't look very good. How does it compare with other similar priced products?
I came to the comments for that. looks like it fell off the bike and he has it cabled down so if it does fall off, he knows pretty quickly instead of losing the bag 50 miles back.
Does anyone know why he chose the Sony action cam verses the GO PRO? I thought the GO PRO was the gold standard for image stabilization and shooting this type of sport. What say you guys? Looking for some feedback and advice. Cheers
Shared this with my wife - who promptly stated, "well, this would have been nice to have about a month ago!!"

That background track is so smooth
Olympia wear also is optimum for premium protection for minimal cost. They keep advancing the technology. Awesome stuff!!

If there's one thing I like more than dual sport riding it's cheap dual sport riding. Thanks man.
On/Off road bikes used to come with a frame mounted lockable helmet catch.
Some will say you have sold out, others will be grateful for the advice, I'm here for the KLR drop tests.
LOVE how quickly you run through stuff here. You went to the effort of tagging everything and kept the video brief. Subbed!

Merry Christmas to the everide family!
1:00 that hurts just by looking at it :'(
I can literally feel that fearful balance shift in my bones
Just ordered the goggle straps 👍 ...used your Amazon link. Favorited the video for when I'm ready for the shin guards, chest protector, and others. Thanks
Spare levers are a must, I learnt this when I fell and snapped my clutch level once, had no spare and that was the end of the day
We reattached my gf's clutch lever with twine and asbestos tape. Held up all day. We broke up last yr but I bet it's still on there like that lol
and the most valuable thing is . . . shameless plug, hahaha. love how you totally went there 😄. keep it up Tyler and thanks for the tips!
I'm the new owner of a dual sport bike and just so happen to be a woman. Lots of great cheap ideas!
Enjoyed the Pannier Water skiing at 0:44
Nice job Tyler and good to see you back!! I just watch pretty much every vids you did and want to say thank you... I stop the competitive gaming and start working on my bike. Im getting my life back lol!
Great guide man! Keep the videos coming, been watching you for along time! Your the reason i bought a daul sport, and got into it. Happy Holidays :)
nicely done! dynamic, informative, well structured and argumented. glad to stumble upon. until the next one, kind regards
Thx Tyler!
What I want to see is now is what gear to avoid. You know, what didn't work for you.
I know this is late af but eh. Maybe its just my luck, but every fox product i have bought, i regretted, they all had terrible build quality and didn't hold up to even moderate riding, cool name and logo, great marketing, built to sell, not built to ride
I believe in your recommendations...stay riding and safe.
I appreciate this a lot. I just got my first bike , a KLR650 and have finally found a nearby place to take her offroad. I realized though, that street gear is a little different from off road haha.
Good job on the list & links. You spent a fair amount of time compiling. Thanks & subscribed!
I have that Titan body armor suit. Good stuff.
Great gift ideas and general information for all riders out there. I don't know how many levers I have broke. I really need to take the advice and start carrying a spare set.
Tyler, what about a 2022 budget gear update?
3 years later and half the stuff isn't available anymore. Any chance of an updated video?
Would love to have stickers, definitely checking out these products, thanks for the video!!
Good vid dude. Some really nice affordable suggestions on that list.

Great list, and I can vouch for that TMS armor, got it based on one of your older videos, that stuff has saved my hide a few times now.
Nicely done!...thanks for taking the time, many good ideas
If you had to pick between a dual sport jacket vs the body armor like the fox, which would you go for? Its hot here in the southeast but can get cold at times.
Another great video, thanks again and Merry Christmas
Awesome video. They should all be like this

Always fun to watch your video, thank you !
Love your videos man keep making them!!
I know this is 4 years old but could you do an updated guide to this, with new updated links?
This happens to have been posted on my birthday so I feel that I should subscribe now as it cannot just be a coincidence. 😆
Very detailed and thank you for compiling 👍👍

Thanks for all the helpful info on these products. Where did you get the backrest set up?
Im learning a ton! Didn’t see helmet or boots in your list tho
What the heck this wasn't even in my subscription feed... only found it in recommended. Freaking RUclips!
Finally someone that understands that I don’t have money but want a motorcycle lol
I got the TMS armor and the zipper busted out before I could get two rides with it.
Is Rocky Mountain still making the Battle Born gear for 2017? All I could find was the 2016 close-out gear in whatever sizes they have left.
Third video I watched and I just gifted myself with a sub!
I like that last one 🤣🤣😂
nice info on these products!
I was sure you were using a gimbal for the helmet camera stuff these days! Those newer sony cams really stabalise the footage that well!!???!
one thing i dont see and it is around $15 thats a sadle horn saddle bag versa packs vp125 fits a DR like it was made for it should fit many more and makes a great tank bag
Do you have any pictures of one mounted? I don't see why that would make a good tank bag.
Charles Gunzelman just google it vp125 on a dr650 plenty of pictures and reviews its just as nice as a 200 tank bag
Brian vman man i don't see it anywhere. Just pulling up a bunch of oil filters
tusk footpegs for drz400 can't find them on rockey.
Awesome video !!
thank you. this is very helpful info

How to decide whether to go for body armor or to save up for riding jacket + pants?
Hey Tyler the link for the Battle Born Pants doesn't seem to work. Great job though, and thank you!
Really interested in getting a kit 650 I’ve seen lots for sale. How risky is buying one older then 2010 with over 30km on It? I’m planing on taking a big trip and am wondering if I should strictly buy newer. Any feedback is appreciated
Excellent presentation!
(except I didn't like the music)
Watching this in 2021. What do you think of the $60 Bilt rib cage roost guard?
What's up Tyler! Love the chan chan!
I love YOU A-A Ron! Now go tell Balake he done messed up! ;D
Looking great bud!!!
I recently bruised a rib on my side and am looking at armor. I especially want side rib protection. The side rib protection on the TMS armor pictures doesn't look very good. How does it compare with other similar priced products?
thank you
Hey I am wondering what type of Bluetooth communication device you use and if you think it would work well for a regular dirt bike helmet?
some of those bike mods can be applied to naked bikes
great advice bud!
Sena ....seat concepts.....👍🏻👍🏻
Can you wear a backpack with the TMS jacket comfortably? Is the back plate removable?
How do you think those decade gloves would hold up to a crash on asphalt?
dude sick beat
:45 - Whats up with dragging a box through the water?
I came to the comments for that. looks like it fell off the bike and he has it cabled down so if it does fall off, he knows pretty quickly instead of losing the bag 50 miles back.
He was doing a torture test of them
Tyler is that the x3000 and your customer mounting at 1:40?
hmm... and what about the DJI Phantom 3 Standard drone? O.o
Nice job as always there Tyman. Didn't RMATV/MC discontinue the Battle born jacket and pants? I couldn't find them on their site.Gunner45
Gunner40Five yeah has been discontinued. spewing
Thats exactly what I was thinking
What year is your klr
Does anyone know why he chose the Sony action cam verses the GO PRO? I thought the GO PRO was the gold standard for image stabilization and shooting this type of sport. What say you guys? Looking for some feedback and advice. Cheers
I have the Sony, too. look up reviews on youtube, but I got it for the audio and image stabilization.
On point as usual.
All links broken?
Do any of these links work?
Nice info!
