Correction, the security team isn't the team of "NO", as described on this video. Instead of telling an org not to deploy a website because it's unsecure, every organization has a security team under the CSO, CISO, or whatever they name it. This security team is there to help the org securely meet its business objectives by working with various teams from the onset of any project to ensure a secure foundation up to deployment and subsequent perpetual monitoring, etc.
All Americans still seem to think that the ePrivacy Directive is the same as GDPR. Many are surprised to find that it is actually a different regulation (there is also a significant difference in how compliance with EU Directives and a Regulations is implemented and administered).
Although a hight level information, it is very very informative. I find it very helpful to get the bigger picture of security to understand way certain technical measures are important! I am happy that I found your channel! came here to have more information about GRC!. Keep up the good work, your way of explaining is really good. 20mins went soo fast.

Dear Friends, I think the GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) is subset of Corporate Governance. The Corporate Governance take care outside, GRC take care inside. How do you think?.
🤔 If the business goal to make more money directly clashes with GRC goal to ensure proper security and compliance then wouldn't the company be ultimately shooting themselves in the foot. They would just need the recommended security controls in place. A breached company unless if it is big could easily go out of business. In a lot of cases, they also hit with heavy fines. Users are also caring about security more than before. Although, it is possible to have too many security controls, the controls are implemented improperly, or if they are impractical could lead to security risks. Like for example, avoiding using Single Sign On solutions out of fear of single compromise and thus employees have to remember 2+ unique passwords.
