Hi friends,
Welcome to the LML Talk Project where women's stories of infertility and infertility treatments are discussed. The heart of this project to give a voice to other women who are facing the same challenges that many before them have faced. It is my hope that others will find hope and be reminded that they are seen and not alone in their journey ahead. If you are a woman facing infertility, you don't have to go at this alone. One of the best things you can do is get a support system around you for your mental and emotional health. I hope hearing these beautiful women's stories will help guide you in your walk.

What an amazing story! I’m in the Bay Area also, but saw a different dr. I’m 45 and got pregnant at 44. I just pray everyday for this lil one to continue to grow healthy and strong. Due in April 🙏🏽💕🤰🏽

I am 43 and passed all tests but my doctor isn’t hopeful and saying most eggs will be abnormal due to my age. He says donor egg would be better chance. Donor eggs is very costly and I really don’t know what to do.
@@lionkingk5098 I understand your concern that was my thought as well. The dr I went to she had a program that the eggs are shared between myself and the donor. Everything from the legal fees to the injections were the price of one ivf. I wish we knew about this before instead of going through two retrievals and three transfers plus 8 IUIs. Hang in there

@@letsmakelemonade5764 Ummmm interesting to me :) and perhaps inspiring to other older ladies trying to make a baby:) I'm a single mom by choice so I had no infirtility struggle. I did 3 IUI's, 4th was canceled, then moved onto IVF. Worked the first time. ...then second time with other perfect pgs boy embryo. I did ALL of the prep to get healthy and be in the baby making mind set. I felt like a woman for the first time going through it all, actually. I enjoyed the journey, thankfully I could and had no prior experience of loss at least in that regard.

The story is amazing. I am a Filipino, 43. I already had three failed IVf's. I started the procedure here when I was 39. I had my second last 2021 and the third happened just recently. I am still devastated. But with the story, I am a bit hopeful. Thank you.

I am 42 been trying to get pregnant for 4 years now, I’ve got one egg retrieval done and a failed IVF due to poor egg quality…so much stress and heartbreak. Trying acupuncture now and a better diet and praying that next round I get at least one good egg. You give me hope thank you! ❤

Just came across your channel an video. I’m 36 and also did IVF treatment at Spring Fertility September last year 2021 at the NYC location. Got 4 embryos but didn’t do the PGS testing. First Transfer didn’t work with the controlled cycle, second transfer got a positive pregnancy via BETA test but embryo wasn’t developing properly which lead to me doing a DNC. Did another transfer but was unsuccessful. I have one more embryo remaining but myself and husband decided to take a rest. Me mostly for my mental health. Planning on doing another IVF cycle in a few months. Praying that this time everything will be ok and we will have a successful IVF journey this time. God’s continuous blessings upon your lives ❤️❤️

Sorry to hear that, Do you know what might be the underlying issue causing the unsuccessful transfer. Is there any test your doctor did to find the issue. Could you please let me me know.
I started trying at 35 and now I am almost 37....two failed IVF cycles (2 fresh transfers) so far and still trying, unexplained fertility. I am sure I will be in one of your interviews one day. Thank you sooooo much, love you ;) :)

I'm thinking about IVF, 42, but I'm worried about psychological trauma from the potential destruction of any good unused embryos :( I'm so torn. Any advice?
@@ruru5862 It really is a personal preference on how to go about this. I think it’s certainly worth seeing if you are a candidate for IVF and see what the chances are that you would have a lot of chromosomally normal unused embryos from one cycle. Best wishes to you.

I'm 42 and going through my 4th cycle. First 2 were PGS tested and abnormal. My last one wasn't PGS tested and on ice 😀 Positive vibes ✨😌

@@irmaebochs-homeloans6597 we had 2 transfers with 2 embryos each time. We made it to 8 weeks first transfer and 6 weeks 2nd time. : ( I am 43 going on 44 now and trying 2 last cycles.

I am planning IVF in two weeks. First time.
@@irmaebochs-homeloans6597 They were not PGS tested . Dr said could have been abnormal embryos since we didn't get PGS tested. My levels were much higher in my 1st pregnancy but 2nd time they were not. I also did ERA test prior to this.
I am so happy for story like this exists. I am 46 years old. I had miscarriage at 45 and since that I really want to get pregnant. I am going thought second round of IVF. So far it looks better then the first round. I had just one month between. In first round I had one 5 days embryo. I had KET, but the embryo didn't stuck. Thank you again...I am from the Czech Republic

I am from Slovakia:). I am going to have the first cycle soon. I am worried but I hope and pray all goes well. I am 38 and have blocked (hydro) tube, one ectopic pregnancy. My doctor said that the blocked tube must be removed before transfer, so I am quite surprised the women in this video didn't need it, because I really want it to avoid it. I know it is late but I would like to know how your 2nd cycle went, but hope it went well. If you keep trying I wish you all the luck and dont give up. I keep thinking Monika Beňová, the member of European parlament for Slovakia had baby in 52. Držím palce .....😊.
This was soo sooooo inspiring. I just had my first round and it was unsuccessful and I'm so down about it. My story is similar in that I met my partner later in life and got pregnant right away then miscarried. Tried unsuccessfully for years and nothing and now I'm at the specialist. I'm so happy for her. That was such a great story to hear after feeling like I hate to say failure but you know what I mean. Any update on the her second pregnancy? Yes your right, I'm looking for help advise I'm 40 in March and I'm about to start my 3rd round of ivf two have failed it's hard when you have no one to talk to I've changed my whole dieat lifestyle, I'm praying this time works out

Very inspiring as well as seems a very tiring work for women of our age to go for baby after 40.
I am 42 and planning to go for the ivf, we have a daughter 8 years old and we want a sibling for our daughter. We tried with other treatments using oral pills for almost 3 years although not that regular, but it’s already very late to try for natural pregnancy.

I really hate when doctors are so cut and dry. I too had an ectopic pregnancy recently at 39 but my doctor is so positive. I'm leaning on his positivity.

I have a question for you and Sharon if I may, and I will look if she has a youtube channel to ask the same question as I've been struggling choosing between Clinics as they have different protocols. Not sure if you have a video in which you go through your ivf protocol step by step, that would help me so much. For instance, which day did your and Sharon's clinic make you start your stimulation injections? Thank you so much.
Hi Sarah, each clinic will definitely vary depending on yours/their schedule and your cycle. There’s not really one way to go about it so as long as you are on the same page with what your clinic is doing and feel comfortable with those steps, that’s all that matters.
What was your mini stim protocol?? You mentioned injections? Please share with us please!!

What drugs did you use and at what dose during ivf?
Listening I am overwhelmed, I had a laparoscopic surgery was diagnosed with endometriosis in April 2021. I am still trying to conceive. Any advice for me. I am on metformin
I understand your feelings for sure. If you’re feeling lost and need some direction, I would find a good reproductive endocrinologist or fertility specialist that you can trust. When we try to do this on our own with so much information out there, it can be too much to try to figure out on our own. I wish you all the best.
Atleast yours got to PGS testing, none of my embryos got to blastocyst stage to get them tested. This is at age of 38

i watched your video. as i mentioned before i am turning 44...still no luck. my diet has changed quite a bit. everything biological and my boyfriend was sterilized for 14 years and the sperm quality of him is so bad ... I have had 4 icsi treatment with his sperm and all but 1 miscarriage failed. in 1 month I will be 44. I have bought 6 straws of donor sperm of which 5 have already been used and the 6th straw will not yield much in my opinion....I cry every day...yesterday negative test of 5th straw...I was broken...an egg donation I don't want at all...then no child....I cry all day and it seems that I will never be happy...everywhere in the Netherlands they have stopped treatments.. ..I live healthy...eat healthy...so much...avoided so many things...i have never had children....the doctors say my chances are 0.....I cry every moment and am distraught
Crying jus do nothing, cheer up may do something . Men's sperm is easy to treat. Get your men to be pregnant_ready

I just had a hysteroscopy and d&c to remove polyps I'm hoping praying we can conceive soon I just can't afford any fertility treatments or IVF and I don't know if we will be able to later, I just turned 36

I was told to have private IVF ten years ago. But we could not afford to. So we went to alternative ivf somewhere else that was Napro technology for less money. Still not conceive. I had three large fibroids five years ago.

I am just seeing this video and I am over 40 and trying for the first time to have a child. I am just starting IVF due to block tubes from endometrious. My Dr recommended PGT-A testing. What are your thoughts?
Hi Lizzie, my doctor also recommended pre genetic testing due to my age and my husband’s age. I do believe it helped in our situation. Through the testing we found out that 2 of our embryos were not chromosomally normal. If we didn’t know that ahead of time, we would’ve tried to transfer those and that would’ve been harder emotionally not to mention that money would’ve been lost for unsuccessful transfers. Thats a great story but she talks about eggs and I can see in the subtitles you corrected it to embryo's. So how many eggs did she actually get from her IVF cycle? I want to try IVF but my Dr said that I need more eggs for that to be possible.

I am what they called poor responder. I only got 3 follicles after the stimulation and they canceled my cycle. I am in a huge doubt to continue the treatment. 😢
Don't give up ❤ you can try natural modified IVF or mini ivf and go for just 1 or 2 eggs per retrieval. Your doc will go for the leading follicle, and maybe one or two extra which gives better chances for high quality eggs (the lead follicle is the egg selected by the body to mature because it is the best quality one).
Many women who are poor responders have had success with this approach
@@giftofthewild6665 i tried for the 2nd one and they put me on mini lupron protocol. They retrieved 5 eggs, only 3 mature n fertilized but none made it to day 5. Waiting for the what went wrong appointment next week.

Im 44. Met my husband at 43. Tried for a year and just starting IVF this month. The doctor told me it’s a 5 percent chance. This gives me so much hope 🥹❤️
