From a NZ girl, we are happy for them to just play at home -(joking). Guess it depends on your countries priorities and thats fair enough and your choice, but would be massive to welcome your French greats down here in our little country. No disrespect to the ones that are coming though. And isolation has never done us any harm before. But the fact is a Rugby game anywhere in the world needs a few X-factor players, a bit of flair, to create excitement, eye candy. eg our Lomu, SBW, DC etc. Currently (for us anyway), Will Jordan, Cam R, Wally S. Sth Africa has its stars too for sure, Kolbe, Du Toit the big bulldozer fwd that doesnt eat salads, too many to name, EE the list goes on. Hell the whole damn side pretty much! ( Bring back Bokke🖤) Thats probably why your French Rugby is so strong. Because of the interesting players. Most teams and games, although good, are just one and the same otherwise, game wins are predictable. Don't underestimate that spectators need a dopamine rush! Thats why we are there. The Frans Malherbe penalties/yellow card was ridiculous - you could clearly see his opponent getting his shoulder onto his chest and then scrumming in. And the moment Frans left the field the bugger tried to do it again - but this time he got penalised for scrumming in!
We need a global season and club champs! Imagine a playoff bracket with the legendary club sides of the past. The great historic sides of Toulon, Saracens, Bulls, Crusaders, Brumbies, Toulouse, Leinster, Munster etc

For the Sharks, missing their 2 starting locks (including EBEN), 2 springbok centers, an experienced Springbok Fullback and Grant Williams... If they were all fit, we would of had a good chance
Well, you can admit it all you want but the Crusaders side never played Toulon or Sarries when they were at their best.... or Toulouse, Leinster, La Rochelle Leinster have been the most consistent of the above sides but Toulouse have won more cups. Crusaders would be up there with the best clubs but to say they'd dominate the sides I mentioned is nonsense.

It’s not O’keefe’s fault we can’t catch a high ball. They are being nice when they say we didn’t choke. I think we did choke. We offered them 19 points on a plate in that first half with incredibly silly mistakes. We don’t do these mistakes, we’re up by 15 at half time and the game is over.
Too much of anything isn’t good. We’ve moved from too little too rugby to too much. Toulouse are, however, consistently a great team. Shame the Sharks weren’t too clued up - recently.
Im a saffa but the crusaders are the most successful club, they have dominated for years. Players like Carter , mccaw, read , mounga, whitelock , Jordan and heaps of other world class players. That club was the backbone of the great all black era that won back to back. Bulls were great for a period there , Brumbies in the early 2000s, the blues in the super 12. But crusaders have to be the greatest imo
Auckland RFC/then Auckland Blues when the Super 12 kicked off, probably still are NZs most successful club in history. Zinzan Brooke and his brother, Michael Jones, Kirwan, Fox, the Whetton twins, Fitzy they could just win games. The rest of the country hated them for a long time!! Over a third of the population live up there but.
They did not WIN back to back, they cheated and bought the 2011 world cup. Bryce Lawrence and Craig Joubert delivered the world cup to them on a siler platter, and both of them were handsomely rewarded for it.
