@ekklesiast I would disagree, EEAAO dif a far better job than Multiverse of Madness, and it actually took the leap into the multiverse instead of like, 3 universes shown.
Like, if you say there is a movie called Multiverse of Madness, I expect alot of different universe being shown as the characters trudge through them.

It actually pushed the boundaries when it came to exploring something as vast and complicated as the multiverse. EEAAO fully explores at least 10 different universes, and shows us dozens more possibilities, all the while weaving in a compelling narrative about family, nihilism and absurdism in defiance of it all

I agree. The movie was a let down. I expected to see multiversal characters in the backgrounds of the universes and see Wanda actually chasing them through universes. More like this clip.
They could have gotten a bunch of cosplayers and just green screen them in the backgrounds and im sure the cossplayers would have done it for free.
Imagine seeing a Live action spider Gwen swinging and randomly sees Strange running with America to a portal. And is weirded out by it then it cuts to another character in another universe. Maybe Dr Doom or a Black Pantber Variant.. Little scenes like that would have made this great.

This is one of the most colorful Marvel movies I've seen, a long way Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, but the most colorful between MCU and non MCU Marvel movie is most definitely Shang-Chi

Shang chi is really a good movie
I think Sam saw the trippy visuals on the first doctor strange and said "let's do that but better" not hating Scott derrickson but damn this movie outdid itself with the colorful visuals.
Wish the story was a tad bit better

What I mean is that people thought that this film was going to be the new NWH in terms of fan service, and they exploded with rage when they realized that it was only the Illuminati and in more than they are all dead.

In their first travel across the Multiverse, Dr. Strange and America Chavez cross exactly 20 different alternate realities, traveling from Earth-616 to Earth-838, including a dinosaur world, a skeleton world, a bee world, a sea world, an animated world, a high-tech pipe world, and a paint world. In addition, in one of them can be seen (for a couple seconds at around 37 mins) Living Tribunal's head. In the comics Living Tribunal is the most powerful cosmic entity, in charge to preserve a perfect balance in the Multiverse.

Imagine if the conclusion of the movie could have actually involved regularly jumping back and forth between all these universes and more. Imagine a battle that could have sent strange by force to constantly jump from one universe to the next every 30 seconds while fighting wanda, so one minute they're a cartoon, next minute they're made of paint, next minute they're in a world where everything is made out of yarn including them, etc. Gravity changing directions or sometimes not applying, briefly stepping into universes where effect precedes cause, falling through portals and stumbling into a confused alternate universe captain america who gets in one good punch before they fall into the next universe, etc. Just a solid 5 minutes of actual multiverse jumping.

This movie should be called Scarlet Witch and the multiverse of madness…. Doctor Strange is not the main character here… The first part of doctor strange was a masterpiece… but this is a shame…
Thanos is also the main character in Infinity War, was it a shame too?
This movie should've stuck to one theme. Either the wacky multiverse thing or the horror. But even the different horror elements were coincidental and not related to each other. Like Sinister strange or Stephen dreamwalking in his own corpse and the souls of the damned thing had nothing to do with anything else. I think they should have saved Wanda for a movie that's more about her instead of starring in someone else's movie.
Imagine if one of them had been a shot of this scene without VFX.
