Life is mysterious and wonderful. I'm lucky enough to have experienced a number of these things. You got to question yourself on how much of it is your mind fooling itself and how much of it shows just how mysterious the world really is. Right down to the worst sleep paralysis experience, I'm grateful for it all.
The buttered cat effect is primarily a demonstration of the cat's superior nervous reflexes. The cat is capable of reacting and manoeuvring it's limbs quicker than a striking snake and easily avoids such attacks.
I've had sleep paralysis before. I saw the void, in a Lovecraftian sense, in the corner of my room. The feeling of, "If I could just wake up my girlfriend by screaming, she could save me..." Was so strong.
Awesome!!! More stuff to listen to and ponder over for the foreseeable future! Thanks again, Maker! Btw, there really ought to be Timestamps on this, as to be able to return to the ones we like the most (or get back to a spot we missed/fell asleep at) 👍🏽
It's ironic that I found this video because I have been suffering with a terrible toothache. I've taken three doses of OTC pain reliever and yet I'm still in pain. I cannot imagine how a placebo would do a dang thing.
Definitely! I always think the same thing. Many humans are still savages. As soon as they encounter something unknown or strange their first reaction is to try and kill it.
I had horrible sleep paralysis in times when I drank alcohol often. It was enough to drink twice a week for multiple paralysis the same week. Since I stopped the drinking I've never had another sleeping paralysis. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I would rather stay sober. 😅
HOLY CRAP So, I was on the Euthenasia Coaster and then I just suddenly remembered the X-Seed 4000 out of the blue Decided to look it up again and right afterwards, the next entry is the X-Seed 4000 What Are The Chances??
I just want to throw out for the Warrens collection that is now owned by Zak Bagans from Ghost Adventures. It is displayed in his haunted Museum in Las Vegas.
Surprisingly good. What bothers me about "mysteries" is that it often assumes that the target group has had a lobotomy. But in this case, the video maintains a great approach by addressing the mystery and keeping the critical elements, mentioning the opinion of the scientific community, etc. Usually when I hear something that sounds "really implausible" to me, I go into verification. And if I can disprove it within 5 minutes, I feel really "pissed off". Here I stopped right at the placebo - and that I couldn't disprove it honestly surprised me.
Me: Okay I'm at the bottom of the iceberg, what Eldritch horror could possibly be at the very bottom? The Iceberg: Ehh? What did i tell ya?? Me: it's... just a piece of string The Iceberg: A SECRET STRING!!
yea as someone who has some experience in programming and certifications I can say the problem will be a non issue because it will just be worked around. many huge issues have been worked around over time that the general public never even knows about. they are just problems in programming that are solved or avoided. and will continue to be. no need to worry virtually every consumer device is not going to be affected. and virtually all servers that are supporting modern infrastructure will be fine in one way or another. anything legacy well. either its under a maintenance contract with microsoft if its windows based or uses windows. or its open source software/operating systems in unix/linux and will have fixes from the community. and anything that niche that has no support well. its just gonna have to change over. its been decades since 64 bit operating systems have been in use.
You're talking about the 2038 epoch time right? With Y2K, it was almost always just bugs in the software caused directly from the programmer, and easy to fix. It wasn't like it was an issue with your OS, or the libraries you rely on, or the C standard library, or the underlying data-type that must be agreed between every library, etc. As it's an issue with C standard library and UNIX-based systems, it's prevalent in nearly every piece of software ever written. If you rely on a library that uses 32-bit timestamp in one of its API parameters, there's nothing you can do. Especially if the library is closed-source, or it's used by other libraries (and so it would break libraries that depend on it), etc. There is *no* work-around there. Specifically for 32-bit embedded environment (which are common, e.g. in cars, planes, GPS, etc), there's not really a solution. Anyway it might not affect the general public, but it will effectively kill many systems and software, and I bet it will be a long & painful for a lot of companies that rely on legacy software (like govt, banks, servers, traffic/air industry, email systems, etc). But yeah, I agree that the general public might not notice it, but then again, a lot of software/hardware will probably go down on that day.
Sleep paralysis is no fucking joke my guy, suffered for years. It’s the worst most horrific shit ever. People ghost are not real it’s this. It happens when stop smoking weed or drinking heavily.
"toast, being an inanimate object, lacks the ability and inclination to correct its orientation" this is so funny
Just watched the 9 hour vid on a roadtrip yday. Now this! NICE!

Fuck sleep paralysis and your wonderfully optimistic outlook on it. 🙃

A month ago I woke up from the feeling that a person climbed on top of me and then jumped off. I live alone.

Loved the Metroid background music, very fitting.
Oh my gosh this is so detailed, I love it!

It's crazy that humans find a giant bird, a unique creature if true, and the first thing they want to do is kill it.

People with sleep paralysis tend to have higher chances of a stroke. Should be checked out.
