  • Over the winter I have gathered all the information and data from my Capt's logbook regarding our '23 fishing season on Lake Ontario and came up with our top spoons and rotators that caught Kings, Ho's and Bow's. Some of these selections may actually be your hot go-to lures! We enjoy fishing and I have no problem sharing info with our viewers because the lake is big enough for all of us to enjoy. Thanks for watching and I hope you find this helpful.

    You are a true fisherman thank you for sharing what you were touching fish on. I think most if not all boat captains keep that secret but you realize that there are more fish than anyone could ever catch you help those of us who are just learning.

    Hey neighbor, writing from Pentwater, off of Lake Michigan. I have a few questions. Was the Hellfire spoon chrome-back or gold-back? What is the Hyper-vis, and where do I find it?
    Also, I have a Koyote ugly spinner laying around if you are interested in it; it is two-faced white. One side is with green spots and the reverse side is green dots with a black center. Get in touch with me if you would like it, I'll give it to you, otherwise keep posting these good videos.

      Hello neighbor! Thanks for watching the video and appreciate your questions.
      Hellfire was silver back.
      Hyper-vis tape is a new glitter tape that came out a couple years ago. Email me and I will send you a link where I can get the tape and/or get spoons and flashers with it. RUclips blocks links in my comments but I will be happy to share with you over email. Your US dollar will go further buying cdn product too!
      Email me, Mr.crow099@Gmail"dot"com maybe u can send me a pic of that flasher. I appreciate your offer.
      Look fwd to hearing from you. 4 more weeks and we will be starting our season 👍👍

    Do these work on Kokanee?

    • @captcrow
      @captcrow  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for the question. I have never fished the West Coast Kokanee but I can't see why these spoons wouldn't attack these fish. The rotators with meat rigs would definitely work since we are using West Coast herring on our rigs. I would give it a try with the Dreamweaver super slim. Good luck and thanks for watching

    I have a hard time getting a bite on Hotfish flashers. I have 5 and never caught a fish.What is your leader length on your meat rigs if you don't mind me asking? Thanks for the great advise.

      thank you for watching and for the feedback + question. We run a 5ft leader on the Triple Threat hotfish flashers. Those Kings love the meat!

    Capt, there's 3 of those flashers you're looking for on 3-bay.

      @@captcrow change the 3 to an E and remove the (-)... for some reason RUclips blocks when Google owns both companies...lol

    Do you have an example or template for a fish log book? Thanks

    • @captcrow
      @captcrow  5 месяцев назад

      Hello @James-jn4xz, thank you for the question. In the video, the log book I use is just a basic 8"x5-1/2" blank note book. I looked for a fishing specific log book and my son actually bought one for me when we first started, however there are so many columns that I needed for all the specifics, there isn't a log book available for my needs. What I have found is that it's practical for me to write down as much info as I can about the trip, weather, and catches etc, then transfer all the info from the log book into an excel spreadsheet that I created on the computer. The spreadsheet is dynamic and it can easily be modified if I need to add a new item/column. The log book then goes back out with me every time we fish and is available for reference as well as new entries.
      You tube doesn't allow me to add photos or links to these replies...so I will see if I can put together a video of my computer screen showing my excel spreadsheet and go over all the columns or items we are logging. I can also add my email address to the video for those whom may want the excel file of my data log. I would be happy to share it.
      Thank you for watching the video and commenting, I appreciate the question. That was a really good question with my complicated answer lol.
      Just starting writing down everything you think will help you on future trips. That is a good start. What, Where, When and How
