That's another point why rammstein are just the greatest.
Your analysis was correct: a critique of plastic/cosmetic surgery. There is no vanity without pain, goes the refrain. What is conceptually brilliant is that this video came out shortly after the brilliant, beautiful and deadly serious ‘Zeit’, a plea for time to stand still whilst lamenting that that isn’t possible. Then, the comical ‘Zick Zack’ which shows what can happen if you do try to fight against the passage of time. Wonderful.

The bass player is an hommage to German fashion designer Harald Glööckler. The drummer probably resembles David Hasselhoff.

The bassist looks like "Harald Glöööckler" who is a very extravagant german celeb. (google him and you will see)
Not sure what he is famous for besides his look and weird name 🤣Think that´s why they chose him.
And yes the whole song is about the beauty industry and what men and especially women are doing to look "beautiful" and/or younger.
Did you recognize that the guy who came out first is Paul one of the guitarists of Rammstein? He had such a makeover he doesn´t look like himself in any way.

For live shows, anything from Paris is great & also some good ones from Maddison sq garden.
Du Hast live is legendary, Mein Teil is very theatrical, Buck Dich (& to lesser extent Pussy) is erm is usually adult themed, Engel & Ich Tu Dir Weh usually good show live. Then you have the classic fire songs: Sonne, Fire Frei & Mein Hertz Brennt.

Believe Zick Zack is German for zigzag, relating to cutting (in this case flesh) & also using as onomatopoeia for time (tick tack = tick tock). As with many Rammstein songs, some lyrics are intentionally double entendres.
I looked up the Translation it mean Snip Snip.

They are being totally sarcastic and calling out people who have super high standards in terms of physical appearance, therefore having various plastic surgeries and even changing gender, to make them look more appealing or suit their vision. This video just shows how and why it is all wrong.
I see it as aging rock stars who are in denial their age that they get addicted to plastic surgery to remain "youthful" whilst their adoring fans are aging. Layered with an indictment of the entertainment industry pushing a specific view of what it means to be beautiful. That beauty is only for the young, which is total bullshit. There is a beauty to aging that most ignore.
Although some of the themes of this newest album have me concerned that they might be calling it a career (at least, with this band). I mean, I see how it is a good idea to bow out before you become a parody of yourselves much like the "Rammstein " in this video. I mean, how many years can one pull off their fire stunts before something goes horribly wrong. But I hope I'm wrong about that.

Rammstein LIVE is better than the Music Videos, and i rarely say that about a band, Til and the gang all work hard to make a show worth coming to, so seeing a live show from them is something i want to do while they still are jammin'.
