I am from the Netherlands and plan to visit the UK after summer. Therefore it would be helpful if Liz Truss joins the cabinet in August so sterling can drop so my vacation will be cheaper.
I hope they keep Truss. She's such a huge gift to Labour.
Remember these Tories Lee, Mogg, Sunak, Hunt, Gove are giving Labour 5 million votes.
Mad Lizzy is the gift that keeps on giving
Ha, ha - very true😊
If Labour can kick out Corbyn they definitely can get rid of Truss
Totally agree she’s going awl also it’s labour’s election to lose
Whether you cut her out of the party or not is secondary to whether you draw a bright line between yourself and her.
Bizarre how anyone can think that Truss' wooing the Tommy Robinson crowd is somehow less racially aggravated than Corbyn's response to EHRC.
The fact that this woman was the prime minister of The UK is staggering, and proves how far backwards we have moved. She is not only dim, but I think a little unhinged.
So sick of politicians saying inflation is 10% when I go food shopping I wish goods had only gone up by 10%
Exactly. The prices were fast enough to rise but extremely slow to fall again 😡
@@sarahbarrett1247they won't fall. Even if inflation goes as low as 1%, all that means is that prices will rise by around 1% over the course of the year. And actually reducing prices would hit company profits, and that would never do, would it?
@@viviencloggerno, no, no. Indeed not. We can't have the CEO's not drinking champagne at Christmas and only having one yacht 🤣
I was about to say, it's not really inflation, it's just companies keeping prices artificially high prompted by greed @@vivienclogger
If Rishi has any hope of winning the election he would kick out most of his party lol
@@free-rangemotorcycling3677Spot on.
And himself 😊
Maybe call it the New Rishi Never Pulls a Sicki Party with the slogan "Vote Sunak and get an free anorak"

“Insurrection” 🤣🤡
Ah. Punishing people for disagreeing with you.
@@LewisSkeeterNo, having at least a few basic standards.
Truss meets none of them.
We still have the highest price for electricity IN THE WORLD. and it’s his government’s choice.
Well said.
😮
The important figure is the modal income (the one people are most likely to earn). In 2010 (when the Tories took over) it was £19,500. Today it is £23,000 - but in 2010 pounds, that buys the same as just £15,550 today. We are in a depression. (BoE figures.)
We're all poorer. I say all. The rich people who own the media are probably better off. That is to say they are using their outlets to pursue benefit for them and there is a big disconnect between that and our lived lives. The greater the disconnect the more a culture war is needed to distract.
I really wish figures on modal, median and mean income were more regular used/given. It would really help the the citizenship put these number into context.
She is the gift that keeps on giving to labour 😂🎉
To your question - YES. I blame Truss and Kwarteng 100 per cent for my mortgage going from a regular £119 pcm to £480 pcm...it has to be paid for from an OAP of approx £850 pcm.. Add the horrendous hike in unavoidable electricity costs ...well do the maths. Truss should be totally ignored. SHe understands nothing, clearly, about economics, or life's realities.
They were criminal to hike mortgage payments like that. Criminal!
It won’t save the Tories, but it would be the right thing to do. So I doubt Sunak will do it.
I agree but the far right have complete controll of the party right now and Sunak is pandering to them.
@@DeniseWilliams-jr5xo absolutely
He can kick himself out as well
Truss is clearly crazy - no know how, no capability and no sense. Rishi needs to get rid of her and 30p Lee at the same time...
At least he ain't a child groomer
@paulpaisley5291 I know. But the Tories struggle to attract candidates so we shouldn't impose such an unfair yardstick.
@@paulpaisley5291 And that's just one of the sexual and other criminal offences perpetrated by Tory MPs.
@ColinBarrett001 you don't even know what a women is
@isley5291 Tory bot - that's you chum....
Kicking Truss out would go down as well as kicking Lee Anderson out. Wake up.
Gdp per capita has fallen 7 quarters straight headline gdp was propped up by +1.25 million visas
In 2008 gdp was 3.09 trillion its now 3.33 trillion with 8 million more people and further concentration of wealth in the City & South East weve been in an on off recession for 16 years.
I would prefer Liz Truss´s local electorate to be given the chance to show her the door at the next election. That would be a more fitting humiliation. Talentless and shameless. No wonder people in general are disillusioned with politics when someone of her calibre gets to the top.
I may be sitting on the wrong side of the Pond to have a good perspective, but it doesn't look like anything is going to save the Tories in the short term, least of all resorting to cannibalism.
No one can save the Tories at this point. Not even Labour.
80% of the population want Truss to be kicked off twitter.😂
Ah. Cancel culture. Nice.
Only 80%??
Keep her on; she is utterly hilarious!
I blocked 🚫 her
@@johnburrows3385
When the cringe exceeds the laughs, it’s what you go to do.
no I’d keep her in the party as she’s doing such a great job.
Yeah, for Labour 😂
They should kick her out anyway. As for saving the Tories - to what end? Of what possible benefit would doing that be to the UK? We've had over a decade of evidence it's a very bad idea to let them remain in power.
Truss has embraced the role as a right wing grifter. Won't be long until she has a job like Bojo writing a column for a Murdoch rag.
And the UK will continue to suffer from the Tories for as long as elderly gammons are around to buy Murdoch's / Rothermere's awful right-wing tabloid propaganda.... So hopefully no more than 20 years.
Can you turn the volume up - I'm maxed out on my computer and can hardly hear the conversation.
The TORY, s were finished the moment they got rid of BORIS. Now I do not give a damn what happens.
Sunak, "eats shoots and leaves"
There may be green shoots but they are growing in dry ground that hasn’t been watered or fertilised so those green shoots will shrivel and die off.
Well, I question like that should be asked of every single member in the Tory party.
Whilst the economy will recover this year, the electorate won't feel the benefit. Their disposable income has fallen over this parliament and won't fully recover until 2025.
Do we not have any Witchfinders anymore???
I spent five minutes trying to research what on earth John Virgo had to do with any of this before I realised they actually said John Bercow.
If she means what she says her sentiment could revive the tory party.
Beaten by a lettuce - yes Liz you are one to lead the UK into the abyss of Brexit
Liz Truss - a brexshiter who simply won't flush away...
When you go to CPAC, you really are a top class muppet.
Oh yes yes I predicted that Boris would win in 2019 when I was only 2 years old - Daniel Finkelstein circa 1902
Rishi should sack himself!
The infinitive is spelled with u.
He`s too weak
Maybe it is time for the King to dissolve Parliament... He could do so !
Truss is so extreme so traveled to the US to speak to their Christo-Fascists.
Liz is totally loopy! Why does her local Tory party keep her?
Not ‘rules’… ‘conventions’. There’s a difference
Should subtle views in complex situations that overlook the genocide not be openly debated in parliament?
Liz Truss is the Tracy Flick of the Tory party. For anyone who saw that underrated 1999 film, Election. With Reese Witherspoon and Matthew Broderick.
Keep Truss on board the kiwi $peso needs to move up vs the pound also for my visit later in the year! It will be at parity if Mad Liz keeps up the good work!
Ah, so now we know what Murdoch thinks.
Cummings wasn’t knowing fir the truth, but he was spot on when he said that Truss is the most obviously insane person he had ever met
Rishi should kick her out irrespective. She's a liability and a reminder of how the Tory party made a huge mistake for the sake of another woman as PM.
He hasn't got it in him.
You put your right Tory in

That pic at beginning reminds me of Chuckys bride.😮
I never thought I would write this, but Peter Mandelson is absolutely spot-on in his analysis.
Stopped clock.
@@IMBlakeley Indeed.
I agree with Peter Mandelson, what is the world coming to?
The collective road to doom needs to be redirected toward individual rights and freedom from coercion of the democratic mob.
17:47 Clickbait Truss starts here.
That thumbnail is a work of art
Liz Truss is a clearly a deficit for the Tories. The fact she doesn’t have the sense to quietly go away, makes the option to kick her out more and more necessary. It’s not like she’s popular either, but the total opposite.
The bulk of the Tories believe tax cuts create growth and that we need a small state
There's never been a case of tax cuts having a multiplier of > 1 so there always a net drain on Treasury finances, plus Hunts headroom is based on service cuts including local councils of 18% by 2028.
She has a strong parliamentary following Sunak still has leeches from the IEA hanging around his administration
@@SlowhandGreg Yeah and they are the vast bulk of her supporters, there’s almost no one else. When it comes to Sunak I’m not surprised, but at least he seems able to handle a knife and fork. I’m frankly tired of all the neoliberal nonsense.
sunak make her deputy pm .Please and we will never see a tory again
"The right time to reward ourselves with tax cuts"... Seriously? What a backward way of seeing it. You mean "Relieve ourselves of ecognomic torture"? It's BAD now, cutting tax just makes it more reasonable!
When the country is in such a mess, and borrowing so astronomical high? Are you sure?
Keeping Truss or not keeping Truss is irrelevent. The Tories are finished.
Truss isn't the problem, Sunak is.
She should have been kicked out long before now.
Truss will forever be known as the Mad PM
Bercow bent convention several times Hoyle did it once and for far better reasons. I love the tory response it is pathetic and hypocritical
Yes.
Actually, no.
Tories can't be saved, nor should they.
Kicking her out won't win the Tories the election but it would help with damage limitation. It would also send a clear message to Suella and the other nasty exremists within the party.
No, promote her.
So Islamists threatened MPs unless Hoyle allowed the “collective punishment” claim to be removed. Riiight…
Truss isn’t fit to be an MP. I mean counting Steve Bannon as one of your colleagues? It doesn’t get much lower than that
Never thought I’d see the day when Boris Johnson behaved with better integrity than Truss the lettuce
This is all very interesting but far too late.
If Sunak had shown leadership from the start the Tories would be in better shape
Truss is as mad as a box of frogs in the Tory Party that is in fact a pond full of other frogs. The country has been subjected to a long line of bizarre people in the Tory government. Why does the Tory Party attract and embrace such mad people?
I think you are being very unkind to frogs !... After all, frogs are useful !
Galloway should be new head of Tories … sunak and truss both lame but also war mongers
You must massively misunderstand every single thing that is going on right now if you think that Sunak kicking Truss out will save the Tories and not the other way around.
Keep her in purely for the embarrassment and extra votes she will win Labour and push towards Reform, ensuring a massive defeat for the Tories at the next GE.
If she wants to be accepted by the anti establishment right Truss needs to change her views on Ukraine.
She's a Trumper now
Another demagogue that won't flush away.
How about you discuss the NHS being in intensive care or GPs being unable to see the majority of their patients? How about you discuss the millions who are waiting for operations or scans for possible cancer? Instead of using the Tory disaster of cuts and privatisation of the NHS as an analogy for the Tories disasterous handling of the economy? How would THAT be?
Re the parliamentary procedure; perhaps another argument for proportional representation thus allowing for the non binary decision making, additionally perhaps helping to avoid the move of the right towards dictatorship , as is already being expressed through increasing legal restrictions in individual rights, including ability to vote.
Truss has an opinion poll rating of minus 60. Of course she should be kicked out for anti democracy fascist rhetoric, As should Braverman. So out of kilter with public opinion. But go for it sunak and lose really big.
Cor aren't conservatives dreadful?
Sunak either lacks the political nous or is simply too indecisive to lead a broad-church party. Whichever is the case, Truss and anyone else 'going off-message' know that they won't be told off for it.
The Conservative Party stopped being a broad church sometime before the 2019 election, when anyone capable of independent thought (Clarke, Patten, Hesseltine) was purged or left.
Now it's a party of the hard-right, UKIP thinly disguised.
I hope they're headed for oblivion.
Great
More gifts to reform from Conservative party cocktail party😏
Is there any possibility that Liz Truss could be Mitch McConnell's secret love child? The tortoise genes are strong in these two.
I live in Devon, an agricultural county. Sunak knows nothing about agriculture, and Devon farmers say the Tories know nothing and care less. Many will vote Labour, despite Sunak's claim " to have their backs". Farmers know that food inflation is high, yet the middlemen and supermarkets make huge profits, while farmers go bust. The City is buying up farms. Good job, Sunak, your City mates must love you, farmers, maybe less so.
I think most in the Westminster bubble have no idea how much resentment of the Tories there is in the Shires, and also a lack of understanding of Starmer's real views. I think the election will be an eye-opener, there is a real thirst for change even in Tory Torbay, a town much like Devizes. Starmer needs to show himself different to the Tories, which his lack of clarity on policies, and his Shadow Chancellor's speech to Bankers have further muddied.
THERE ARE VERY TRUE TORIES LEFT , so if any one else goes , the sk1t show may come to an end .Labour is no better .
If it helps, you keep telling yourself that there is no difference; luckily, the electorate has not fallen for this lie.
bruh
Liz Truss took some decent arguments, such as the need for faster growth, lower taxes, etc, and discredited them through appalling lack of preparation, by a failure to realise the need to explain why spending needed to be controlled, etc. She was like a new CEO who rushed around breaking things and not explaining the strategy to clients and staff. She now appears to have fallen down a paranoid rabbit-hole, associating with the sort of wingnuts at the CPAC conference in the US.
There is a need for a pro-free market, measured, low-tax conservatism that appeals to the broad public, and is explained intelligently, even if it ruffles feathers. Doing that well is always difficult, and given how Statist much conventional opinion is, the person making the case faces an uphill battle. But it can be done. It just needs more skill than Truss provided.
Small problem: there is no such thing as a 'free market'.
And yes the tax free allowance needs to double.
Overall those earning £25k to £50k need to pay a little less tax and those earning over £200k need to pay a decent amount more tax.
Also unearned income must pay more tax than earned income.
@@jeremymanson1781 By "free market" I mean a broad term covering ideas such as voluntary exchange, private contracts, property, light but clear regulation, etc. It doesn't and never has existed in pure form outside of a textbook, but you sort of know the real thing in action.
@@tomburroughes9834 Adam Smith warned against monopolies and cartels. And why does the taxpayer have to fork out when dividend paying businesses trash the environment for free?
@@jeremymanson1781 Indeed. Adam Smith wrote wittily about such things. As for the environment, well, pollution has been an issue since forever, which is why there are things like tort legal cases and regulations on pollution, is my guess.
