@Jimmy Moore I didn’t say anything about “great representation” in my comment. PSA (the dog sport in this video) in CONJUNCTION with how police/military dogs traditionally train seems beneficial. I don’t see a downside to doing both. From what I understand PSA is full of surprise scenarios which I would guess compliments both dog and handler. And would likely add that much more control in their teamwork. No?
Nothing wrong with doing sport along with police work. Sport enhances training especially control. Being a retired police k9 handler and now a sport dog trainer, I see tremendous benefits for police working some sport training.
@@richardschneider7875 Some sport work perhaps. I see massive potential for creating conflict in the dog and the practicality of the costs are simply not sustainable regardless.
FIRE. Love this so much. If police departments would uncork their heads from their arses and see how bad most of their dogs actually are, and what a danger that poses to EVERYONE... This should be the standard, the norm.
@Jimmy Moore Control in drive ALWAYS translates to the real world in work. And I do work a dog in real life, every day. For real. I do not do dog sports. And I doubt I will. But I know good training, good handling, and a good dog when I see it. You're the clueless one.
Oh yeah? You want to see your taxes increase dramatically? Start making this the standard. You canine teams will cost more than the rest of the department combined.
Congrats to Mike and Kai for their great representation of the sport but also of their line of work.
Australia let's get our heads out of the sand!!!
awesome! kudos to Mike and Kai as well as his administration for allowing them to work and compete in PSA
What a great topic & informative vid, absolutely amazing teamwork! Total respect and admiration for what they do both on & off the field.
The sound quality
Nicely done, Pat! Kudos Mike and Kai!

Outstanding
Really great to see how these working dogs AND handlers can benefit so much from a sport like PSA! Nice video.

@@simplifiedk9 Jimmy doesn't know anything about dog training, or working dogs. He probably read a book once.
