Thank goodness you are back. You are by far the best subaru youtuber as in how much detail you go into for your videos. Ive followed your engine tear down, valve cover polishing, and intake manifold painting. Love your vids.
Welcome back Luke, it's great to see you making videos again. Since you're working with automotive companies maybe it'd be a good idea to work with Subaru a bit? Maybe suggesting they go from dog-approved back to rally-inspired. Clean Impreza by the way.
I'm surprised you have black gauges, I like the black gauges more than the stock white ones, but you mentioned your interior is stock, which it looks like for the most part, but I don't recall 2.5RS coming with black gauges
Welcome back lovely example 👍.....unless you happy at standard ride height, if you want to run lower on them bilstiens, Prodrive P1 (Uk) eibach springs will give you a 1-1.5" drop & are matched to them struts. Good to see you making content again looking forward to more uploads👍
Welcome back, and also welcome to South Carolina! I am a Subaru enthusiast in Charleston and sometimes work with Clemson's Agricultural Department for testing on my mushroom farm. If you are ever down this way I would love to check out this car in person, and buy it if it ever comes for sale. I have a 2007 STI Limited (#237 of 800) but dream of owning an RSTI one day. Thank you for the great content! Jonathan
It's awesome to have you back Luke! Your channel is one of the most valuable sources of information online for the GC Impreza community that I've ever found. Congrats on this new chapter of your life! That new project automobile research sounds incredible! looking forward to seeing more of your content Luke!
Did she sell yet? Such an absolute gem brother. For condition and parts this car was a steal. If I didnt already have one id be on a plane. Great to see you back! Your one of my first subaru youtube’rs I ever watched.
Sold within two hours of posting this video - full asking price. Thank you! I think it was a fair price for the cost of the parts and all the time spent to install everything (tbh, not making any profit from my time, which is fine. It was a labor of love!). Learned a lot and helped many people in the process. 👍
Amazing. I love the fact ur not shotgunning a full restore but taking it piece by piece taking your time. That subaru outline on the hood is so period-authentic, just keep it and dont get it repainted!!
Man Luke great to see you man!!! I still have the floormats in their packages thanks again!! Love the beautiful car buddy i have the version 8 ej207 with the 6 speed dccd 180 diff brembos yadda yadda you'll absolutely love it!!! Take care my friend!
I have a 2001 ver7 engine that I used around 30,000 miles. Ran it with a vf48 and dark blue injectors. I was running a good e tune and always had very clean logs but somehow burnt a valve. Purchased a ver 9 engine and have the ver 7 engine sitting in storage. Are you interested in the ver 7 engine ? I’ll let it go for a reasonable price. I even have a legitimate oem gasket kit for it my friend Stephen from IA tuning sold me.
Luke, the Stoptech 328mm kit flex in corners. Casing knock back and bearing damage. Not to mention the price on the disks are stupid expensive. That's why I did brembo and the old 6gun kit. Good to have you back doing videos. Also working on getting g my v7 107 done. But thinking of doing aftermarket forged parts. As I was 450hp.
I love your car! Love how much of a clean project it is! is such a great example of how a clean project car should be! thank you for sharing. BTW do you know how can I find a set of those floor mats? I really like it!
I trust your eyes, because you're actually there in person, but at 6:47 the trees do look a little bit "warpy"/spherical Is that section perfect? or is there some dips from the paintless dent removal? Just genuinely asking and wondering
I'd imagine. I sort of thought that was the idea behind the video. I've enjoyed seeing it in the gc8 group on Facebook. I just started posting pictures of my new sedan on there too. Any chance you're building another one?
@@garagedoorinstallationandr2625 actually, the video was really more about getting back in the “swing” of making videos and giving everyone an update. Also wanted to be sure the document the car once for myself and others before it moved on to the next owner.
I am looking for one right now. I’m kind of sort of on a limited budget but I wanted to find a cleaner example I see that you know exactly what to do with these cars.

A SubaruONLY and Flatirons Tuning collab would be amazing, two of the most informative Subaru pages. Awesome to have you back!

Hmm. I believe the 1998 2.5RS did have the black gauges.
I like the black gauges as well! My 98’ wrb RS coupe came with black gauges, they probably came like that from factory I am guessing.

Your engine burnt a valve bc your valves were too tight. Adjust your exhaust valves on your v9 to avoid that.

Think you’re right!!! I was underestimating.
I saw this for sale in SC FB Marketplace

first time hearing of the darkmatterx stuff. looks cool!

Think it’s just the camera. It looks very straight in person.
Heck yeah! You're back!
When you bought your jdm ej207 v7 engine it had a Sti 6 speed tranny with it. Why did you stick with the wrx 5 speed? V7 is also 5x100.
Good go have you back homie! Whats the youtube profile for the new videos/interviews you will be conducting?
your website links aren't working anymore! Was trying to get to the 2002 wrx FSM

what ecu is running this 207 ?
And what turbo you running
8k redline “rev up your engines!”
So 98 rs didn’t came with side skirts?
It should have you can see the mount holes on the lower body where they’d clip in.
It did for sure. Good eye. I was on the look out for near mint set up never found them!
