Welcome to my channel! My name is Hurley, but the Vietnamese know me as "Phúc Mập". I've lived in Vietnam for the past 8 years, meeting locals, and traveling to new places around Vietnam and Asia. This channel is to express how much I love Vietnam, its people, food, and culture.

Hong Kong market is dirty, ghetto, stinks and run down like most of Bellaire. I don't suggest that place at all.
Anh Phúc thua anh Will rồi anh Will ăn đc bún đậu mắm tôm đó
Phúc mập if you get a chance, stop by Pho Kim Long on Mason Rd. In Katy. The food there is phenomenal and the owner is very kind and generous. Also check out Katy Asian Town. It’s so much nicer and cleaner.
Ok new friend can you put captions when you’re having a conversation for the nosy people😂
@@Hottie995 every video has captions in English and Vietnamese, you just have to turn them on
Phuc Map is so popular in the Vietnamese communities. Where ever you go, people know you.
Thanks for following along
@@phucmapvlog even my grandmother knows who you are! And she doesn't even have the Internet!!!
quite the compliment! @@AznVi3tx
You speak Vietnamese very well. I’m enjoying your video. It gives me more places to go and enjoy more delicious Vietnamese foods. Thank you.
Glad you enjoy it!
Great to see you're in Houston, welcome! The food you had looks delicious! I went to Vietnam in 2016 and visited Saigon, Long Xuyên and Châu Đốc. Many Vietnamese settled in Houston after the war ended, we had Vietnamese neighbors that arrived around 1975. I remember the Miliam Street area near downtown was where many of the first Vietnamese restaurants were located and having phở and bánh mì at some of the restaurants.
Thanks for sharing!
Ah Houston original Viet Town. My dad would drop us off at Crystal Palace to play video games and watch movies while he played bia and hang out at Club Queen Bee. Ate Com tam at Vietnam Kitchen and Banh mi at Banh mi Hoang. Dad would buy groceries at Hoa Binh and we get our haircut at Le Nam inside Que Huong mall. Gentrification has killed the old neighborhood and the only thing left is Mai's restaurant and Holy Rosary church. Even the old Chinatown in Eado is slowly dying. Who would have thought that Katy would have an Asia Town
Nice new concept, Hurl !!! 😊👍🇻🇳🇺🇸
Thanks bro.., I’m American born and you inspired me so much to learn Vietnamese! You sound perfect bro!!
Happy to help!
Xem clip của những người nhiều năng lượng tích cực như Phúc mập rất thoải mái, happy new year!
I love your video! It is very entertaining especially when you speak Vietnamese.
Glad you enjoy it!
King of RUclips to all of the Vietnamese people you are.
Awesome videos. Keep them coming.
Thanks! Will do!
Every time I go to Houston, eating there is a must. The best bánh cuốn in my book.
it was amazing!
lol. i sometimes mistake the nuoc mam for tra da too..glad to see you're enjoying Houston!
If you’re ever passing through Halifax, NS, Canada, you have to try the Bun Bo Hue at Pho Maniac. Ive had Vietnamese natives tell me it’s one of the best bowls they’ve ever had, in or out of Vietnam.
this is amazing...giving a face to these language...amazing just amazing
Oh thanks for stopping by Houston man.
Always love to see people enjoying the food etc cause it is a huge melting pot of cuisines here from all over the world.
Don't forget to stop by the iconic Kim Son while you're in that Hong Kong supermarket area! Great Vietnamese AYCE buffet.
No doubt! That video coming out soon
kim son fell off. not as good as it used to be
When it comes to Asian cuisine and culture. Theres no better place in Texas than Houston. Southwest the best. 🤘
Bruhhh you are finally in Houston ! Welcome and hopefully you have a great time here!
I did! Thanks!
So much fun to see you in Houston! That Hu Tieu place is our favorite. The best pho in Houston (we've tried them all , I think) is in the Hong Kong City Mall - Pho Danh. Definitlely going to try the Banh Cuon place this weekend. Thanks for showing off Houston!
Of course, thanks for checking out the video!
You definitely have linguistic gift, you are the clearest sounding non-vietnamese person I've ever heard.
Thanks for that
Great video 😊
Thanks for watching
Thanks for sharing 🎉
Definition of culture appreciation love it to see it
Thanks for checking out the video
Love it when u dropped you voice 2 go into vietnamese mode.😂
Mad respect Phuc.
Hard to describe texas size. They built things big.
Phuc Map oyyyy !!! Welcome back to the States !!! 😁
I just met him the other day! Super nice guy
Howdy, Phuc Map! If you're still in Bellaire area, for rice I would recommend Com Tam Kieu Giang in HongKong market, Pho 54 in the Kim Son area, Bun Bo Hue Duc Chuong, Banh Cuon Hoa on Beechnut.
As for "Happy Wife, Happy Life", that may work in Vietnam or back in the Day but here, now it's better with "No Wife, Happy Life" 😇😇
Thanks for the tips! 😂
banh cuon is still my fav viet dish of all-time 🙌 I'll be in Houston in a few months. will have to swing by this spot 😋
Great video and skilfully filmed. Your Vietnamese is impressive!
You may be interested in the channel "Big time Bentley" about an American guy from California who lives in Saigon and tries different food. He attends a language school, as he is very keen on communicating with the local people.
Appreciate ya!
Anh Phuc im Lao in the USA but I love and enjoy your contents.
Have a safe trip back to Vietnam to your wife and child. 🙏🥰💕
Keep the contents coming.
Thank you, I will!
Your vietnamese is excellent 👌
Wow, thank you
I was watching the latest from crawfish society and your latest video popped up. H town looks good.

I live in Houston but I spend most of my time in Philly. Your video makes me miss Vietnamese food there.

I ve lived in Katy Tx and the woodland
I'm glad we agree!
wow so impressive your Vietnamese. wonderful
Thanks a lot
If you're still in America or whenever you come back, you should try Falls Church in Virginia. There's a whole Vietnamese shopping center called the Eden Center. Very good authentic Vietnamese food.
The Mexican guy asking if Phuc needed a fork. 🤣
LOLLL
I noticed that too
nothing to surprise beacause he doesnt phúc live vietnam for 8 years
Welcome to my home town!!!
Yeah, I only been to that Banh Cuon place once and I been dreaming of my return since.
Orange County California has the largest population of Vietnamese in the U.S. , Garden Grove and Westminster mostly. You should come out this way and check out the food scene. You can find some great regional stuff that you cant find outside of Vietnam. Hanoi central and Ho chi minh style foods. Would be worth while to explore. Even the Vietnam president came a few years ago when he had come to the U.S.
He's been to little Saigon before
True, but they don’t have a street like bellaire. It’s one street that’s nothing but Vietnamese stores that stretches for miles and miles. Inbetween those stores there’s not one single American, Hispanic, Greek or any other cultural stores inbetween. I’ve been too all Asian markets all over United States and Houston is the only city I know that stretches that long.
Xem nhiều anh Tây review món VN rồi nhưng chắc thích nhất là Phúc Mập, Max và bạn Whish ở Pháp ý :)
Welcome to Houston!! We have an interesting mixture of authentic Vietnamese and fusion. For example you can get all the classics and Dim Sum but you can also find pho pizza and pho french dip sandwich. Hope we see you again soon :D
Thanks for the tips!
My father lives in Houston. Hope I can visit soon.
Pig feet, pressure-cooked, fall off the bone. To die for. I usually eat that with ba/nh canh. Mmm, bon appetit!
I would love to come back!
Hay quá. Hấp dẫn quá.....👍
Anh phúc qua quận cam ở Vali có nhiều người vn lắm 😊😊😊
you're in bellaire , i wished i could have come met you. my grandma lives near there

Hello 👋
Houston has the best Viet food in America. Even better than Orange County. Every single restaurant in town is packed every night of the day.
FACTS
H-Town represent!
Tôi thích những cảnh Phúc Mập lang thang ở đuờng phố Saigon. (Not in US).
Bụi bặm. Kẹt xe. Dân chạy xe thì băng qua băng lại. Tạt đầu xe Ai thích nổi
sắp về VN
Funny to hear Map because Vietnamese we use that nickname to differentiate people. Here in North America, calling someone fat is appropriate.

They literally dumped at bunch of Vietnamese refugees in Texas and southern states because the only few jobs available to Vietnamese refugees was fishing especially shrimping, that's why there so many Vietnamese near coastal cities.
There are so many Vietnamese doctors and engineers in Houston.
