Considering that the angry Geometric Monster seems to be comprised entirely of hexagon-looking things. One could argue... *Hexagons are the worst of gons*
This animation was a lot smaller than the previous two, but my gosh did they make up for it with some EPIC scenes! And the Soundtrack as well to go with it! I never thought Cyberpunk-style music would go so well with Geometry! Also, I'd like to point out that while in the previous two "educational" videos Alan Becker credits his Lead Animator as the one behind all the "Nerdy Science Stuff", here he says nothing of the sort... *Doea that mean Alan Becker actually knows everything that's going on here?!?* (I mean, he IS an animator, makes sense, they've gotta know their shapes) *_[WARNING: Long-ish Comment Ahead!]_* Anyways, I'm going to try my best to name as many of the concepts/ things shown here as possible. Just because why not: 1:24 (Not part of the animation but whatever) *I don't need them. I don't need them. I don't need them... **_I NEED THEM!!!_* 1:37 Looks like we're starting off with a line. And Orange here is busy enjoying the life of a 1-Dimensional Creature! As opposed to his typical 2D life and our 3D one. Must be claustrophobic... 2:02 You know what they say... *The fastest way between Points A and B is a straight line!* 2:23 An arrow/ vector! Used a lot in Physics to show direction and magnitude of things! 2:34 Right Angles! That's what we call angles that are EXACTLY 90 degrees! We represent them with a square-ish thing rather than the typical curve like with other angles. 2:40 Supplementary Angles! Two angles on a straight line that add up to 180 degrees! Also, can we appreciate the sound design on this video? I'm sure people would be WWAAAYYY more engaged with Maths and Geometry and such if they had an app that was this interactive and cool! Obviously, I doubt we can have living math symbols or weird Geometric monsters, but everything else would be great as an App! 2:44 Ratios and Dividing lines! Orange happened to place the dot RIGHT in the middle of the line, so it is separated perfectly in half! And as you can imagine, both sides are of equal length (1:1) 3:11 That's the symbol for what is known as "The Golden Ratio"! it's (ratio) value is 1.618 as shown right under it. And yes, that spiral thingy you see later in the video is another representation of the Golden Ratio. It's apparently really important to mathematicians (probably why it's treated here like a master of Geometry) but also artists... *because it makes stuff look cool.* 3:59 Those are two Congruent Triangles! That means they're supposed to be identical to each other in shape and size! Those line that cut the sides of the triangles show which side on triangle A is identical to which side on triangle B. 4:16 Geometry is probably the closest thing we have to reality bending... on paper. 5:06 Hey look! Orange literally proved the math formula/ concept of a^2 + b^2 = c^2! ("^2" means "to the power of two" in case you couldn't tell) A very important algebraic formula! 5:20 I have no real clue what this thing is. But given that every shape it "eats" turns into fractals, I'm going to assume this is Alan Becker's idea of some kind of 4D Creature... Or I guess a 4D Monster in this case. (Also, the Brilliant Logo is circular, this is... not) 7:24 One could say that all this video is is... *Just Shapes and Beats ;)* 8:05 *Uhm, AhKtuAlLy, it was a Pyramid! Now it's a 3D diamond shape called an "Octahedron"!* 🤓☝ 9:33 Those weird spirally shapes are Fractals! Self repeating patterns that go on infinitely! Also, I have no clue what happened in the intervening minute and a half sooo, yeah. 9:52 *Me and the 4D Bois ascending to the 5th dimension* As always, Alan Becker always makes these subjects look absolutely phenomenal! I can't wait to see what other subject he chooses to cover next! Chemistry? Biology? History? Computer Science? (Or would that just be their normal AvA series?) Whatever it is, they'll probably make it look way cooler than any classroom can!
im asumming that the really angry shape at 5:17 is either a *5D Shape* or something really similar to it. because at 9:49 you can see a *3D Tetrahedron (Red)*, a *4D Tesseract (Green/Cyan)*, a *5D Shape (Yellow which is probably the angry shape thats connected with the Phi)* and a *6D+ Shape (Blue)*
@@MatangSingh1 Oh I see! I actually didn't know that since I was always told that the 4-sided shape we see here is just another kind of pyramid but with a triangular base!
The way I like to see it, they're all connected. At the end of math he shrinks into a circle, at the beginning of geometry he comes out of a circle, at the end of geometry he falls down somewhere, and at the beginning of physics you see him falling. I refuse to believe geometry isn't the sequel to math and the prequel to physics, it just makes too much sense

@@TheEpicGalaxy21 actually it's a 24-cell, so basically a 4-d cube

Me reading all of this. 💀☠
It wasn't a pyramid, a pyramid has 5 faces it was actually a Tetrahedron :D

Just finished all your Alan Becker reactions, still loving your energy! Can't wait to see more in the future
3:15 that was one of the symbols at the end of Animation vs Math
I believe it's called "Phi" and it's used to represent "The Golden Ratio"
5:27 you look like you saw something diabolical ngl
Tiny Box Tim reference alert
Love this video and your reaction are always very cool to see for the first time amazing background sound 😂
can you react to kurzgezagt's white death or animation vs RUclips? they're pretty good
It's so dark 😢
That shape that was chasing orange was 4D
No, if the shape was 4D then it wouldn't be trapped in a 3D shape because 3D beings won't get trapped in 2D prisons.
@@Harrison_Woo121 the object is called a "24-cell", but i don't think that thing with phi imbued with it is a regular 3d object
