  • Welcome to our family vacation vlog where we share our travel adventures to Tsilivi in Zante, Greece from August 2021.
Just to say right from the beginning. This was without doubt one of the best boat trips we have ever taken, and a real highlight of our holiday in Tsilivi. We cannot thank ‪@seascapevipmainoffice1463‬ enough for making the day what it was. We'd do it again in a heartbeat!
After doing considerable research around the excursions and boat trip options available. Alongside using the We Love Tsilivi Facebook group to look for recommendations (join that group here - / welovetsilivi .
We opted to go with Seascape VIP Travel and their tour around the island. More details on this boat trip, the itinerary and what is included, can be found here - www.seascape-travel.com/aroun....
Back in August 2021 when we travelled to Zante the price for the tour was around €850 for the group. But please note, this has likely changed, you will need to contact them directly for an up to date quote.
We boarded our boat at the marina by Donkey Beach. As our group was 8 people, our vessel selection was their luxury speedboat "Solemar" which has an capacity of 9 persons (including your captain). This boat is still a part of their current fleet which has since been expanded.
Our sail away complete we speed North along the coastline to the explore the caves along coast, first a sulphur cave near Xigia Pelagaki and more of the naturally occuring caverns like the White Cave and the Blue Caves.
We follow this with a sail by Shipwreck Beach, or Navagio Beach. With the beach and shoreline super busy with tourists, and the waters a little choppy, we opt to find a better swimming location.
Passing by Maravelia Cave we drop anchor and enjoy a first swim stop, exploring the turquoise blue Ionian Sea and caves carved into the rock.
No fishes this time, we speed on to our next port of call.
Slowly motoring our yacht into the caves and coves, we explore more of natures cathedrals and take another dip in the ocean, finally spotting some of the local marine life.
Our captain takes us to a quiet beauty spot, the Keri Caves, where we find ourselves on a white sand and shingle beach that leads in to a cave, which goes on to take you back into the sea. With the kids back aboard, Mark, Sally, Ross and I, make our way through the cavern swimming through and out into the other caves before heading back to the Solemar.
Our penultimate stop being the National Marine Park of Zakynthos. A protected area created in 1999 to preserve the natural habitat and breeding grounds of the Loggerhead Turtles. Seeing at least 80% of the whole Mediterranean Loggerhead population they lay 900-2000 nests a year!
On reflection whilst it was amazing to see one of the planets oldest forms of life in its own habitat. Watching the video's back, all of the those people crowding that turtle felt a little instrusive. Especially, as there was little awareness shown for any of the people, or marine life, encountered.
Turtle time over, we head off to our last stop. Some time in a quiet cove, time to relax on the beach, build stone pyramids and swim in the ocean before heading back to the Donkey Beach Marina.
    Why not come along ;)
