Great video Laura! It's always fun to watch you explore new supplies and colors.
Thanks Rachel, so many great supplies in this haul. I was really impressed with the selection that Canson Australia sent me.
I always learn something from your videos. I bought the Kuretake watercolors and am enjoying using them.
The Kuretake watercolours have been so fun to play with! I'm glad you find the videos helpful 😊
Timely! I couldn’t find proper reviews on Canson Montval watercolor paper on the weekend and here you’re testing it out. Thanks, Laura!
It's a great budget-friendly paper. You won't get the working time or vibrancy of a 100% cotton paper, but it holds up well.
I purchased two of the products you shared. I appreciate your review of these beautiful products. Thank you!
I hope you love them as much as I do!
I just bought some Canson graduate mixed media paper from Amazon to practice some mixed media pieces. I have been using acrylic paint (heavy body and fluid) but just got some Inktense pencils and Neocolor II pastels to add to my collection. I’m a year into my art journey and learning so much.
Brilliant, that sounds like a fun selection of supplies to play with!! A few of my favourites in there :)
Thank for a great review. I look forward to trying them!
Thanks Susie, glad to hear you enjoyed it.
At least here in the US, Maimeri Blu is pretty well known…not even close to the big wc names, but fairly well-known and becoming more popular. 😊
I am from Egypt and I want to thank you for this beautiful video. I loved the colors and tools ❤
Thanks very much Laura for a really fun and informative video. I’m quite interested in trying the Daler Rowney empty paint pens with different colours. I love Posca pens but sometimes you want certain colours and shades so those are such a great idea! Hope you are enjoying your new Art studio and other spaces. 🌸
You are so welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. I love the idea of custom colours in those markers too 😊
Hi Laura thanks for showing us all your new art supplies! Ive recently gotten some Daley Rowney Acrulic inks but haven't played with them yet. I got my art table all cleaned off too and need to just start SOMETHING! Have a good day!❤️🏜️
Thanks Susan, I love Daler Rowney Ink, so vibrant and fun to play with. Enjoy!
This is a fantastic haul, I've heard a lot of good things about that canson paper and would love to try it one day 😊
Nice art haul, and lovely to see you do demos. I just looked up those Daler & Rowney refillable pens online, and it says that you can rinse out both the nibs and the barrels, and I saw that they also sell replacement nibs! What a great idea! I particularly like your idea of mixing your own colours - something I really love to do!
Over here in England ( near Liverpool) we used System 3 in college ( Fine Art Degree) and they are brilliant paints, for all surfaces. You can buy them in tubes or tubs- small or large which is great for a lot of acrylic work.
Looks like sketchbooks would be good for inktober
Oooh! So many goodies! I’m tempted to buy and try but am not going simply because I already have a lot of supplies 😜
What a lovely variety of different supplies that you were gifted ~ very exciting! I love the idea of filling up your own markers with custom colours… I wonder how were the nibs sometime after use, were they easily reactivated like Posca pens? 🤔🖊️🎨🖌️
Enjoyed very much🎨
Thanks you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Love Maimeriblu watercolors.
They were a real surprise for me! I wasn't expecting them to be so lush!! I will have to look into the brand more.
Laura, Do you think with the empty markers that you should keep the watercolor ink ones separate from the
acrylic ink ones? I'm just thinking the acrylic ink might be thicker and the watercolor ink thinner so the pen might start to clog depending. Really fun video with all kinds of cool stuff to try!! Thank you :)
Jenna Rainey the watercolor floral artist (also RUclipsr) switched over to MaimeriBlu from Winsor&Newton and endorses them. She has collaborated with them to create a 6 tube basic set.
I will have to check that out! Thanks for letting me know.
I wonder what the difference of watercolor ink and watercolor liquid
I was wondering the same thing. I have not played with either one. I have been curious about trying Dr Ph Martin's products and had not heard of Daler Rowney watercolor ink.
I would love to do a comparison, I've never used watercolour liquid products. It's all new to me :)
I might have to get some Dr Ph Martin products to compare, as I am not sure what the difference is.
I'm SO far away from home and didn't bring my supplies miss doing any painting n drawing
I hope you are reconnected with your art supplies soon or find something that you can use to scratch the art itch 😊
Could you let yourself buy a sketchbook and some pencils? It’s not wasteful to let yourself have what you love 😊
@@ArtyAnticsyes thankyou I just couldn't wait any longer. In Dubai for another day. Until we go to another town so got myself some items n scissors.
@@LauraHornArthi Laura it's been challenging few days as I got lost twice in Dubai. Bought a few Art supplies- much needed after having a bad experience with somebody
@@ArtyAntics😊😊😊thankyou for carring, i had a bad experience at the mall. Been challenging to not be rude back. I left that makeup store with the Dior palette at the till. Will make a video about this because I want people to know what I went through
Is the silver ink glittery? Or one solid colour?
You leave the brushes in the jar of water? Oh, the pain! Those poor brushes!
I do try from time to time to keep the brushes out of the water and drying flat, but my mind gets caught up in the art and everything goes out the window. I also use my brushes for all sorts, not just watercolour. Sometimes they get really funky and I love them even more than the brand new ones because of the interesting effects they make. I still have almost every brush I have ever bought, so they get plenty of love over the long term, they just have character :)
@@LauraHornArtyou do you! So great to see you engrossed in the process😊
@@msleeeee Oh for God’s sake, it was a bloody joke.
I heard the Maimerblu is super creamy..
They have a really lovely consistency. I was impressed! They lay down on the paper beautifully and the colours are still super vibrant once dry. I'm going to look into them more. So fun to be introduced to a brand that I'd never heard of.
Hi Laura, I signed up for Minimal Magic class 2 days ago and cannot access it now…the server says verify I am human over and over…can you help please.
You're better off emailing Laura via her website for this, as that's more a business concern that she would prioritise over social media 😊
@@breeedge2269 thank you 😊
Hi beautiful 💟💖❤💟💝💟💝💞💝💞❤💜❤💜💖💜
It's funny to see how quickly societies standards change. Since the beginning of time artists have gone out of their was to avoid granulation in their materials. It was a sign of a bad product and a piss poor artist. If a painter couldn't simulate texture they weren't considered artists at all. Now a days, youtubers seem to go nuts over granulation. Don't get me wrong here. I too like it for play time. For the abstract nonsense moments, but would have never considered using it in fine art. We were just taught differently. The expectations of what makes an artist was so different back in the day. It's nice to see expectations lowered. That way we no longer have to up our skill levels or try nearly as hard. Which is wonderful for my old hands and blinding eyes
Thank goodness expectations have changed! We get to enjoy so much more variety in art thanks to trailblazers like Pollock, Picasso, Kline, Frankenthaler, and many more. They all used materials and techniques that weren’t considered fine art. I think its wonderful that people feel free to go nuts over anything that they find creatively delightful.
Not only that the whole video is an ad for art supplies, but the whole video is constantly interrupted by ads which is super annoying!!!
It’s an art haul on RUclips. RUclips has ads. Art hauls involve unboxing products. You can get RUclips premium for an ad free experience. I have it and it’s great.
