I have this model and I have hard floors and rugs, and instead of pushing rugs around (like my old roborock vacuum) it will try a little bit to climb over the rug (Even speeding up to roll over the edge) and if it fails it will just finish doing the hard floor and then try and tackle the rug separately. Which means it's not constantly trying to move my rugs around the house or roll them up. It has a really really good app, it's the first time I've seen one where the app is not just an afterthought, tapo have done a lot to make it really easy and intuitive.
We absolutely love ours. We have a two level home and after 2 months of use we decided it was so good we got a second one so we can just ignore them most of the time and not shift it around. Best money we have spent in a long time. So far is goes over carpets and cables perfectly.
Do you have any idea how it performs on carpets and with long animal hair? Ive got a long haired german shepherd that sheds hair constantly. Im vacuuming everyday and this would be a great help if it could mean I only manually vacuum a couple times a week. Thanks!
I have not pets at this moment but it seems that it gets a lot of debris, including women hair, so i would say that it will do the job. This one has 5400 Pascal and its was the strongest i used so far
Update, performs reasonably well enough to keep the device. I need to set it to max suction and 3 passes to get a clean carpet. The device sadly doesnt have anything anti hair wrap so the brush does curl hair up that i need to clean twice a week, the brush is easy enough to remove and can be unwrapped in seconds. The only issue ive had is the device gets lost in my small house, I think theres an awful lead lined wall in my home thats a wifi deadspot that screws with its mapping. Ive moved furniture around so it avoids the location and its now perfect. The battery could be bigger though, for something that would take me 20mins to manually vacuum takes this thing 3hrs because it vacuums slowly then needs to top off its charging (which is slow) and then comes back out to finish off what it started. Setting a full house deep clean at 2am to finish at 5am when im up for work and then another living room deep clean at 3pm (because I have a long haired german shepherd)
@ yes it’s awesome i moved all my power cables neatly out of the way and i used my regular vacuum cleaner and cleaned then used my tp link robot vacuum cleaner and it picked up more dust and dog hair so im definitely impressed it’s quite satisfying watching it and the app is so awesome I also stop it before it self empties just to see how much it picks up and I give it clean I’m so amazed how it works
@ This is my first robot vacuum I’ve read a lot of reviews for robot vacuums in this price range and the features this one has I’m really surprised at how easy it is to use and the settings in the app are simple to navigate
