The GRE really needs tweaking to open the taps. Undervolt and Vram sliders maxed out. Without that it's really drinking power and not getting very far over the 7800XT.
I don't see that. The 7900 GRE is only 30 dollars extra (sometimes less depending on sales) for a decent performance boost over the 7800xt. Now that they unlocked its overclocking capacity I see no reason to purchase a 7800xt.
Even tho the 7800 and 7900 are very close I think Ill go for the 7900gre because it only costs 10usd more right now. And will probally last longer over time. Not to mention overclocking head room.
@@Ladioz easy.... it's the direction of the workload. If you pair a lower spec GPU with a CPU, then the CPU will not need work as hard. The only time this becomes an exception is if you're willing to drop the settings to Medium or Low in order to achieve a higher framerate, which makes sense if someone is gaming on a 240hz monitor. There's a reason all of these CPU tests are done with a 4090 at 1080p. In this case the workload is shifted heavily towards the CPU. Rx 7700xt cannot hit 60fps 1440p in some games. It is quickly becoming a 1080p ultra settings card
and it's paired by the best cpu ever. imagine if it was paired with a 5600x or a i5 something. you'd have lower fps
That is because you folks insist on cranking every single setting to ultra. High setting is where it's at. Optimized setting is even better.
