Thanks for putting such a great video together! Very informative; easy to follow; and helpful in taking next steps to get my gourmet dates on Amazon's gourmet food category. I live in Canada. Any additional hurdles or steps that may be required?
Hey Lorena Thanks and glad this helped. Have you ever ran an only business? I would recommend (just by experience) is to try sites like Ebay and etsy , at first Amazon is a great place but it has quite a bit to learn and understand to be successful. pricing, shipping, returns, metrics, and more. When you apply it is a gated category and you will have numerous documents to send them from invoices, licenses and more they will walk you through what they need from you, but it is a few hoops to jump through. Damian
Your very welcome so what kind of food are you looking to sell Amazon my wife and I have a food business that sells on Amazon we sell snacks that we make are you looking to do something like that
I am trying to sell on Amazon food grocery product. First I need create a new listing cause my product has private label but sold on Amazon with another brands. I am really confused. Not sure if these information that you gave works for me as well 🤔🤔🤔
HEY Kendra thanks for asking and watching ... I will post a video response to this question it is actually a GREAT question ...I will show you how I dealt with this starting out Damian
Amazon asking me invoices, I just started wholesale and retail a month ago, i m selling the products 2 years but only in farmer markets and local for delivery. What invoices should I send? I have ingredients receipts.....that’s ok too?
Hello Sir, what kind of permit do I need if I am repacking spices within my home and I wish to sell on Amazon. My current CFO permit doesn't allow us to sell online. Thank you. -Nav
Hey Dianne Thanks for watching and asking so I understand right you want to sell to retailers locally ? Where are you producing them ? Home or a commercial kitchen ?
Thank you very much for putting this video. It is super informative and has clarified many of my questions. However, I do have one question. One of the requirements to approve a gourmet product (I've been a seller of vanilla beans for over 4 years on Etsy and eBay) is that the invoices need to be in the country's local language. My vanilla comes from Mexico and the invoices are in Spanish. Do you know if I need to translate them into English, or would id be ok of they are in Spanish? Thanks!
Thanks for asking do you mean to get approved on Amazon ? They would have to be english to best of my knowledge. I had sent all our info to them in English based invoices . BEST OF LUCK@!!!
@@MarketingFoodOnline yes. To be approved on Amazon. The language they use us kinda of confusing. So, I guess I need to translate the invoices. Thanks for the advice. Keep up the great work.
1) I get my supplies from Walmart, do receipts count as invoices? 2) Are you saying that since we have never sold food on Amazon that we can never sell on it since we can't possibly have metrics? Or are you trying to say that we should sell non food items so we can get some metrics from random stuff?
Thanks again for the question....My apologies if I was confusing ...no you can sell and start selling without metrics. When you apply let them know your "type" of suppliers and the "receipts" you have if you are using these products to create a new food product . When you apply Amazon rep will request this info and you can explain your method of making your food products and the sources you utilize to get the ingredients! Damian
Hello Edward thanks for asking and watching yes the metrics will only begin once you start selling metrics take into consideration numerous aspects of selling on amazon. BUT the good news with your first few orders your metrics kick in and are based upon time to fill orders, seller feedback, etc but starting is the MOST important
I think my question is somewhat on the same lines. I have been selling things on and off on amazon my account is somewhat old. I havent really sold in bulk or anything only personal things. My Order Defect,Late Shipment and Pre fullfillment rate are all N/A. Can i apply with this?
You don't have to register as professional right away, you can start with individual. Because not everybody is going to be on the same advance level than you. Some people are just starting out so they won't qualify for the professional program. Smarter to start as individual and when your business grows you can switch for pro...please explain why you insist on people registering as professional right away..Thx
Hello I mention the registration also when it comes to food you have to get ungated to sell food. You will have to show several documents to prove this like, invoices, business lice. etc thanks for the feedback.
hey what if I wanna sell a product which isn't mine but I am already a distributor of the brand . what is the starting point and do I need to get any verification

What if your using Amazon to start and you have no metrics to show?
