You know it's a good anime when you're on the verge of tears before the end of almost every episode. Currently watching Fushigi Yuugi. I'd highly recommend it to anyone here!
It was one of the few animes I have ever watched and it makes me want to go back when I was a kid watching it, despite the fact I kinda disliked my childhood.
i play this song out loud on full blast in my house at 2 am right after a failed attempt of screaming out to the top of my lungs "SPIRIT GUN!!" trying to recreate the 1st spirit gun yusuke shot tougoru with during the dark tournament.
Dark tournament is one of the greatest anime arcs of all time, and toguro was a god tier villain, I don't wanna hear it Edit: If you’re gonna reply to start a fight, save that energy and go get a job, damn
Except it kinda missed the point of the series and I would argue Sensui, Mukuro, Yomi and Raizen were better villains. I love Toguro too but he's overrated.
@Jack Smith He's actually a generic shonen villain that keeps progressively transforming not unlike Frieza. Sensui's Sacred Energy was foreshadowed and had a deeper meaning to the whole series regarding Reiki and human vs demon nature but, you know, that would require a brain to notice.
One of the greatest fights I've ever seen. The build to it was so epic and when it happened it actually felt like a big deal, like it was must see. Just brilliant stuff
My best friend in college hadn't heard of Yu Yu Hakusho, and by this time in us binge watching, the man literally stood up off the couch, got face to face with the TV and roared. Fucking epic.
I'll always remember Yusuke's lines after Kuwabara's death. "You took my teacher and now I let you take my friend. What the hell do you want from me?" and "Don't you think I wanted to use my power and win this thing and go home? Of course, I just didn't know how to reach it....and I have to live with that."
done better than with Gohan (who got his respect vs Cell in abridged dbz). Also liked the bit where Kuwabara was going to punch the teacher for erasing his answer. I forget if it had this music too.
That quote sticks to me because I also fear failure. I'm in University now trying to learn music and theater, but I feel like no matter how much I try I fear I'll fail because of my approaches to learning topics. God I love this show!
When I’m going through tough times, I actually rewatch Yu Yu Hakusho show entirely. This anime is the embodiment of empathy. Teaches you how to cope with death of loved ones, losing friends, friends betraying you, the unpredictability of life, and still when all things are going wrong there’s still light at the tunnel. There are not many anime’s that provide a sense of reliability and hope like this one.
"First, you took my teacher. Then, I let you take my friend. What the hell do you want from me?!" P.S. me from 2020 : Whoaaa 6 years have passed, back then I was chilling here and listening to this after finishing the whole series. Layer upon layer of bravado, facades, contradicting desires, and intensely wrought obsessions. But beneath it all I suspect you would find just a normal man with a wounded heart and a broken dream."
Yusuke Urameshi, age 17. Once died in a car accident, came back and saved the world countless times, and brought peace to the three realms. What lies ahead as he grows from boy to man? Not even the supposably wise Koenma could know that.
When Yusuke gets up after Kuwabara's "death" and teleports behind Toguro all of a sudden, and Toguro realizes something has changed, admitting he's feeling afraid for the first time.

this song has an odd feeling that I've never felt from any other anime song. Whenever this song played things seemed hopeless but not in a sad way. It is like the music is speaking to us and it's telling us that even though we should feel hopeless we also should not give up. I Think it is that feeling that is what Shonen is all about, and honestly I don't think a single other Shonen was able to recapture the magic that this show had.
Yu yu hakusho will always hold a special place in my heart, helped me get thru the passing of my greatest friend. My Dog Mike, I’ll miss and love ya forever!
As much as I love DBZ it never touched me the way YYH did. It's sort of growing up if you looking at it. The premature death of Yusuke is about to go from the child you were into someone who needs to think about his future slowly but sure. Toguro was the best teacher Yusuke could ever ask for. Then with the Dark saga it's obviously reflecting our knowledge and about our whole personality being confused like a teen but on a much higher level. We do realize that life isn't only about our future like we thought but we know that there is an incredible dark side of us. You can lie to me if you want but I think that Dark Side appeared or remained with a lot of us. It really makes you think about DO WE HAVE THE RIGHT?! Can we change this? In the end even if you defeat your dark side you know it's inside you. Just like how Yusuke still had his evil nature about wanting to kill Sensui himself and how he doesn't care anymore if the others eating human unlike in the earlier sagas. But joining the demon world Yusuke see the suffering and the fear of the people and think why should they cause a war to make all those dark things happen all that suffering and so on. Let's have a fight instead which determines how it's going to all settle. Fight is a very strong symbol in YYH. In the end everyone enjoyed the fight and instead of killing they respected one another and even saved each other. Even if you don't win you have been successful by growing up and able to leave beyond your very dark past. While it's always going to be a part of you you will know what you need to do and who you want to be with.
I was reminded of this show through snooping on someone's playlist and I loved this show but I don't think I finished it so I'm going to do that right Now!!!
I really connected with your comment bcz it's so real and true like this show.... people are quick to dismiss manga as fiction and something that's imaginary but this show right here is so much about realism than any other movie or TV show I've seen... 4th time I'll be watching it... damn even the thought of it has nostalgia hitting back!!😭😭😞
Yomi: Its dissapointing that our time here together must come to an end. defeating you will be an honor, yusuke. Yusuke: you can't end a good party without someone on the floor. Yusuke: i suppose not. RUUUAGH! now, COME ON!
This song plays in my head when I'm drunk and looking for the bathroom. Except it's downstairs. Without lights. In a strangers house. And I've already fallen down the stairs. I've come so far. And my bladder is full. I WILL FIND THAT TOILET AND PISS IN IT!!!!
Yusuke: "I've come all this way, but what's the big deal? What's it gotten me? Why do I care? Because THEY need me!" (Dying vs. Suzaku) God, this song accompanies some great series moments.
I just finished this show and I love it a lot, the characters, the soundtrack, the Voice actors (in both sub and dub) etc, I love it especially the Dark tournament Arc it’s the best arc in the show imo❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
This OST made me cry when I was a kid in the 90's. Pretty sure it was on the moment Yusuke saves the little blue bird on the cave. Unfortunately, I forgot its name.
"Nothing worse than being strong, but not strong enough. It only prolongs the inevitable conclusion. But be sure, this will be your inevitable conclusion, no matter how long it takes us to reach it." Even though they have him outnumbered, Sensui has Hiei, Kurama, and Kuwabara overpowered on the battlefield of demon world. This is one foe they may not be able to defeat, but they'll die before they ever give up. Yusuke's death hangs over them all, a reminder of what they're fighting for... but will they be joining him soon?
renkotsu92 no I do not believe so, the only song that comes to mind is tatakai no hate when yusuke dies to sensui and hiei finally fought for someone other then himself.
Anytime I hear this incredible ost, I'm reminded of the greatness that is the dark tournament. To me it's one of my favourite arcs ever and I'm not big on tournament arcs. It was well written, entertaining, action packed, emotional, deep, had a great villian , developed our protagonist and main cast. Lastly, it ended so well. This arc is absolutely brilliant in my eyes 😊
i started watching this show and things happened and i started questioning life and what was wrong with me. i never related so much with a character in my life. i rewatched this show and realized so many things i missed and how deep and relatable the show is to me. how i gave up on everything because i couldnt commit to anything, how i didnt realize taking my own life would impact so many people around me and why im here on earth. for the people close to me. it opened my eyes and changed my view on the world. truly grateful i started watching this anime
This song makes me think about how Yusuke dealt with the death of Genkai and Kuwabara. It’s such a powerful song not just because it’s badass but also because it perfectly portrays the despair he is feeling and how self defeated he is. It’s like he is half broken and half fueled by anger. This is easily the best and most memorizable song in Yu Yu Hakusho’s soundtrack.
I finished rewatching it again on vrv and now I wish I could erase my memory and enjoy it all over again with that first time what's gonna happen next feeling.
Kurama: "I cannot hesitate... I barely have enough Life Energy left. I muumst destroy him now" Karasu: You should've stayed down... but at least that's not your style. Kurama: "I may die.. but at least it'll end in a draw!" *SCREAMS*
This is my favorite song from yu yu series, it ALWAYS gets me thinking. About good and bad things, either way this song KICKS serious BUTT "Don't you think I wanted to use my power and win this thing, and go home? Of course, I just didn't know how to reach it... and I have to live with that..."
Yusuke "Don't you think I wanted to use my power and win this thing and go home? Of course. I just didn't know how to reach it. Now I have to live with that..." Toguro "Maybe not for long Yusuke."
Your in the gym benching to yuske powered up the song is done along with all of your energy than you hear this and you somehow manage to summon the energy for one last set of reps and u not only do that last set u do more and lift heavier and that pain turns into strength and that strength becomes power and you do this each and every day until you finally go from a snot nosed c class chump to an elite s class demon warrior ... This song should be called motivation
This song is so good. I don’t have the right words to describe the feeling that it invokes in me when I hear it. It makes me hopeful and filled with determination. I don’t know why or how, but it does
It's really incredible how an anime can change our lives.

"TOGURO WAS ONLY A B-CLASS?!!!"- Yusuke
yes bruh that was crazy
Yet, he was and still is the best villain of the series.
Nearly killed us all and he was still just a B class?!
Chimera Ants also got a B-Class threat label. However, the 5 calamities look MUCH more promising than Sensui (no offense to him)

A mulberry is a tree and Kuwabara is a man
when i was younger i thought he said "toguro was a tree" XD
DanusMax ironic, seeing as how Elder Toguro was consumed by a tree.
the meaning of Kuwabara is: "original mulberry"(桑原), so the line means a difference between mulberry tree and Kuwabara!

+Krisztian Bari I love this! Thank you!
Rubeus Chaos Lighthouse
So did you start it yet? :)

YYH forever fornever! :)
This series is a true masterpiece and will be always in my top favorites!
I really connected with your comment bcz it's so real and true like this show.... people are quick to dismiss manga as fiction and something that's imaginary but this show right here is so much about realism than any other movie or TV show I've seen...
4th time I'll be watching it... damn even the thought of it has nostalgia hitting back!!😭😭😞
Just finished yu yu hakusho probably my favorite anime by far
“Will Yusuke heed Genkai’s final warning? Can he put to rest their 50 year feud? Stay tuned for the next exciting episode of Yu Yu Hakusho!”
*"Toguro, nunca mais vou te perdoar"*
safadu o que se ta fazendo aqui
nosssa, que vontade de chorar, YU YU HAKUSHO 4ever
Fodaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
@@thiagorez2856 to chorando mano
Esse tema é o toque do meu despertador kkk
This song always gave me chills, and is one of my favorite anime arcs.
Here in 2024. The 90s had the best anime. Yu yu, dbz, rurouni kenshin, G gundam etc etc.
The music towards the end is SO epic! This show got me through some tough times as a kid.
So long since 2013 and almost a million views! Art truly transcends.
Yu Yu Hakusho was and always will be an underrated classic.
I watched it yesterday and let me tell you this anime is so brilliant and amazing by far one of the best anime I've ever watched.
This alongside with DBZ in my top 5 easily. No doubts whatsoever ❤️
It's technically not underrated. In the 90s, it was part of the "big three".
togashi made one of the best manga in history and especially the best tournament all anime combined
Holy shit the chills this track gives me with the ending riff are unreal
😭😭😭
2:08, my favourite part.
We are all in for a treat for 2018. Yu Yu Hakusho will make a possible return!
Yomi: Its dissapointing that our time here together must come to an end. defeating you will be an honor, yusuke.
Yusuke: you can't end a good party without someone on the floor.
Yusuke: i suppose not. RUUUAGH! now, COME ON!
¡KUWABARAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
This song plays in my head when I'm drunk and looking for the bathroom. Except it's downstairs. Without lights. In a strangers house. And I've already fallen down the stairs. I've come so far. And my bladder is full. I WILL FIND THAT TOILET AND PISS IN IT!!!!
I sometimes hear this in my head when I'm going through a hard time, it's like something in the back of my mind motivating me to keep going
One of the greatest fiction of all time and I won't change my mind
Yusuke: "I've come all this way, but what's the big deal? What's it gotten me? Why do I care? Because THEY need me!" (Dying vs. Suzaku)
God, this song accompanies some great series moments.
Such a bad ass track
There are some animes you just never forget this was it for me , man i wish we could get a remake or a game I'd play it in a heartbeat.
I just finished this show and I love it a lot, the characters, the soundtrack, the Voice actors (in both sub and dub) etc, I love it especially the Dark tournament Arc it’s the best arc in the show imo❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
One of the first animes where Dub was better than Sub
@@uttkarshacharya6040 Facts
@@uttkarshacharya6040 I 100% agree.
Idk what to say but this is one of the greatest anime series. And it has good ost.
"ya can't end a good party without someone on the floor"
well it's true
Kylon Watson i suppost not..
I love this comment section.
Melhor anime da minha vida até ou jogo e bom kkkkkkkkk
👉🏻💨
Its 2017 some one still listen to this superb track.. Its mind blowing no its more then that, but can't recall the right word for it..
Face it, toguro even made us feel we needed to inmprove ourselves to conquer all our challenges. Legendary anime figure.
This OST made me cry when I was a kid in the 90's. Pretty sure it was on the moment Yusuke saves the little blue bird on the cave. Unfortunately, I forgot its name.
Puu!
Puu
"Nothing worse than being strong, but not strong enough. It only prolongs the inevitable conclusion.
But be sure, this will be your inevitable conclusion, no matter how long it takes us to reach it."
Even though they have him outnumbered, Sensui has Hiei, Kurama, and Kuwabara overpowered on the battlefield of demon world. This is one foe they may not be able to defeat, but they'll die before they ever give up. Yusuke's death hangs over them all, a reminder of what they're fighting for... but will they be joining him soon?
Screw this test I'm getting us outta here!!!
The level of feels were at an all time high at the moment
didn't this song also play during the dragon of the darkness flame?
renkotsu92 no I do not believe so, the only song that comes to mind is tatakai no hate when yusuke dies to sensui and hiei finally fought for someone other then himself.
yeah it did, the very first time he summoned the dragon it played, I looked it up after haha
“So my Jagan eye may not be natural, but it does give me exactly WHAT I NEED!!”
I’ll never forget watching this series from start to finish one of the best anime’s ever. Period
I finished in December and I think I might have to rewatch the show already
Constant wolf I watched the whole series over the period of summer of 2015
Anytime I hear this incredible ost, I'm reminded of the greatness that is the dark tournament.
This song sends shivers down my spine. Its an amazing song that will always be with me.
Never heard it without the SFX before. Thanks for sharing
Very glad I chose this to test my new headphones!
i started watching this show and things happened and i started questioning life and what was wrong with me. i never related so much with a character in my life. i rewatched this show and realized so many things i missed and how deep and relatable the show is to me. how i gave up on everything because i couldnt commit to anything, how i didnt realize taking my own life would impact so many people around me and why im here on earth. for the people close to me. it opened my eyes and changed my view on the world. truly grateful i started watching this anime
No joke, I want this played at my funeral
I cannot hesitate, I barely have enough life energy left, I must destroy Karasu now.
-Kurama
This song always hit in the feels whenever Kuwabara was on his last legs.
Kuwabara was a goat
This is a GOAT anime bro the music the plot the fights the voice acting. 💯
For a 1992 this show was far ahead of its time and still stands as a truly timeless classic
I finished rewatching it again on vrv and now I wish I could erase my memory and enjoy it all over again with that first time what's gonna happen next feeling.
Uma das melhores melodias do anime, sempre ouço quando tô desmotivado...
Kurama: "I cannot hesitate... I barely have enough Life Energy left. I muumst destroy him now"
Karasu: You should've stayed down... but at least that's not your style.
Kurama: "I may die.. but at least it'll end in a draw!"
*SCREAMS*
This is the best song in Yu Yu Hakusho hands down. Everytime I heard this track I knew Yusuke was about to go crazy
This song helped me get through my own struggles of sadness when I was at one of my lowest points
This is my favorite song from yu yu series, it ALWAYS gets me thinking. About good and bad things, either way this song KICKS serious BUTT
"Don't you think I wanted to use my power and win this thing, and go home? Of course, I just didn't know how to reach it... and I have to live with that..."
"Maybe not for long, Yusuke"
Yusuke "Don't you think I wanted to use my power and win this thing and go home? Of course. I just didn't know how to reach it. Now I have to live with that..."
Toguro "Maybe not for long Yusuke."
+JAY STATION ONE I guess i'm not the only one that lifts to anime music.... lol, high five brother.......
+Jack X try the street fighter 2v opening
That's exactly how I feel when I play this at the gym. Guess I'm not alone either
This lives rent free in my head
This song is so good. I don’t have the right words to describe the feeling that it invokes in me when I hear it. It makes me hopeful and filled with determination. I don’t know why or how, but it does
This music help me to overcome sadness 😢 still crying, i always remember that i am not alone...
