So I could be completely wrong, but as someone who’s played goalie growing up and still plays, goalie the type of goals that Samsonov let in, and his overall composure in net has for the past month, made me really question whether or not, it is a confidence and an on ice issue rather than an off ice issue. In the game last night I found personally Very saddening because those goals are the goals you let in when you’re in a very bad place and a very depressed place.
Again, this is just my take as a goaltender but if you honestly had to ask me to decide whether or not, I think it’s a case, more of the yips and confidence versus external depression or anxiety the nuances to his game make me think it’s the latter

You're right. He needs to speak to a psychologist and exorcise his demons. It's probably a family related issue that he isn't willing to share with the public or team. Any organization worth their salt would not be dressing him if they're struggling. The first step is for him to take and in our world of ultra political correctness, no one is going to broach that topic with him.

It does not show in Rubbling out a player along the boards By Nylander but the leafs defence need to play defence and take away the centre of the ice to help their goalies and avoid the costly turnovers and we not need defenceman flying up the ice like Leljgren did and not passing the puck and looking to his forwards to pass and this is called a good defenceman and keefe never was after the players on the bench then bring in DJ smith and releast Keefe after the new year before its too late with playing with this type of goalie and defenceand turn overs Galore. Nick Robertson is too small to compete and score in the NHLbut can skate really fast but is Nulified very esay to try to score so we need a coach not to change lines all the time that Keefe does and nobody can get used to each other and Roll the four lines to be able to win and more minutes on the 3rd and fourth line to be sucesffull to be ready for playoffs.

Marner skates around with a half ass effort, all night. I was at the Buffalo game. Best forwards are Nylander, Matthews, Tavares, Kampf, Gregor. Marner is lazy.
He should have been traded before July 1st. Now there’s no trading him, he’s here until he walks, or another dumb GM gives him 15M on his next brutal contract.

All elite teams & upper echelon clubs will produce 4 to 5 dog-crap games in an NHL season. They've all done it once or twice so far this season. The Buffalo game was the worst game delivered by the Leafs to date. Only Kampf & Jarnkrok got passing grades from me & everyone else should be embarrassed by their performance in a game where they should have been playing tight, solid D to help out the struggling Samsonov. They didn't do that at all & the score reflected their inability to play a responsible, defence first type of game, with careless play in all 3 zones, but in particular, the D-zone. They simply hung their goalies out to dry. Let's hope we don't see a dreadful effort like that for quite while. Flush it & move on.
