If you distill alcohol, put the mash in your tent while it burps co2.
I wonder if sugar and yeast would be a good way to add a little co2. 1lb of sugar is almost all carbon, once broken down with oxygen it would weigh about 3 lbs of co2.
@@hungryplant3849 I use bicarb and citric acid in an Fzone fish tank generate with solenoid. attached to an IAQ Monitor Controller, which I run at 1000 ppm. Total set up cost 250 bucks. I buy 10kg of bicarb and citric acid which last about 10 weeks at 60 bucks. Running a 4x4 in a 7x10 lung room. which I run at 600 in veg rising to 1000 ppm
@@hungryplant3849it would produce a lot of alcohols. You're right sugars have a lot of carbon but you need more oxygen than carbon to produce co2
I use about 2-3 tablespoons of distiller yeast and 1.25 cups suger in a 1 gal bucket half full of water w/lid with a brewers airlock in the lid. Runs about 2 days. This way takes a while to ramp up, max's out, and wans off. But imo it does help.

In all seriousness, I believe, having a carbon enriched/high carbon growing medium helps the plants assimilate carbon into its growth needs. Some bio char may be better than others considering natural mineral content.
The other night, I was lazy and didn't want to use PH down for a simple plain RO watering. I realized in my nerd tantrum I'd just make my own carbonic acid infused water and feed that instead of phosphoric acid. 5 out of 5 girls preferred the extra carbon!! ❤

My grow room is a second bedroom. It is fairly well sealed up and has its own AC unit in the window and the central ac of the house is sealed off.
I treat the bedroom as my long room and I maintain the environment in the lung room and always have my exhaust fans in the tents running.
On all three tents, I now have the smart AC infinity fan and controller. Each tent is different and has different lights, therefore the thermal load and volume in each tent is different.
I fine tune the parameters in each tent by the exhaust fan, Each 10th has its own method of air induction. All inlets are filtered with a plain screen attached to the inlet ducting hose. Air is brought in at the bottom and front of the tent and exhausted out the top and the back.
The 4x4 tent also has a Smaller diameter hose directed at the big and powerful HLG light to help cool it since it does not have a remote capability mounting of the driver. The only downside to that light!
On the fans, I have two trigger points for higher fan speeds. That would be temperature and humidity. It's really pretty much only a safeguard for something going unusual. The way I run the long room environment makes it extremely stable in the tents.
By maintaining a lung room properly, I don't have any needless devices inside the tent taking up floor space or room! And a constant air exchange in the tent maintains the health of the girls quite well!
There are definitely plans into work to build a dedicated girl room inside my 60 X 50 shop. That's when the real fun will start!😎

if you put a bottle of vinegar higher than a bowl of baking soda and then string a shoestring from vinegar to soda, capillary action will slowly add the vinegar thus creating CO2
You guys need to buy and grow some of the mutant strains there is alot of them alot. And there are some that look nothing like weed and you could easily grow in your front yard.
My plants are so bad ass from the grow dots. I mean castings on promix was already doing well under my old school 600w hps.
Co2 secret...Years ago I was working in a dairy processing plant, and I had access to dry ice. I was in the habit of throwing a 2-5 lb. chunk into my backpack and ride my bike home to throw it into the tent. I didn't have a Co2 monitor at the time but I know it had an incredible effect on the crop. I was sporting HID lights and heat in the grow was always an issue. The dry ice had a positive effect on the room temp as well. Some of my best all time crops...in over 30 years of growing, and I was able to grow strains the grow buddies couldn't grow. If you can access dry ice... Go for it!
Yup. Same here. 12 lb block left in a cardboard box punch a hole in top and a hole in bottom. Wrap box in heavy towel or 2 to slow down the sublimation. And just let the gas slowly stream out. Kept the room perfect temp and boy did they love it .
I have one of those air rifles and i also have a portable refill machine for it as well. I was thinking 🤔 buy a empty tank i can fill it whenever i want and get a co2 controller and monitor. But i never have to buy or order co2 again these machines cost about $200 bucks vevor makes a nice one for cheap.
Ok guys. U spoke. I listened. Since this episode aired i gor the ac infinity controller( i wish i could find a food youtube video on how to completely operate it) i had two exhale bags(not a fan) 450-700ppm at most. Today i bought my first co2 tank and regulator as well
As titan rain system is en route! Now i have every single thing i could need for a grow. Light can pump almost 1500ppfd at 16 in( i will never have it dialed that high but pretty cool even measurement across canopy) my room will be 85 degrees until week 6 flower

Getting ready to use my brand new real grow buckets, Ive got the canna coir, grow dots. Other than top watering to begin with are there any other tips I should give a try? Also, there is just the one video with Scotty on the set up, or a short from the conquerer, you guys know of any others? Love the show and thanks for all the advice.

I cut up a house filter and put it over the intake fan. I get about four fresh filters for it out of one house size 20 x 20 something. I just cut it up.

Smoked pretty much everyday for the forty yrs I worked
I've been using a low pressure co2 system made for aquariums. It includes a pressure tank, regulator and bubble counter. The contents of the tank is a mixture of citric acid, baking soda and water. The reaction produces a decent amount of co2. I've been using it on a 2x4 tent and see real results in veg. The co2 production lasts for quite awhile, like weeks, depending on what size tank. I think as long as it's run in a smaller space it performs well. Also, my aquarium plants love it!
I think just the time spent getting maintaining dealing with issues of CO2, is better spent actually in the room with the plants. Get your tunes on and dance around.

I have 3 of them growing next to me on my desk in a micro dwc set up. I work from home as well, so they are getting Co2 from me 12-14 hours a day.

I stopped using CO2 tanks and use the bags now. They last the whole 90 days for 4 plants. I would get two or more if doing a bigger grow. Saves hella 💲

bottom line is you can do 4+ lbs a light with it. dont need it, but it increases yield, and theres trichs on the inside of the bud, not just on the surface.

I put my rockwool cubes straight into the 1 gal., and next pot is the ten gal. air pot. Theory of mine, less transplanting, less contaminate possibility.
I have chickens and ferment their food. I keep a 10 gal barrel in my grow room to ferment the chicken feed, providing CO2 to my plants. I haven't actually had the opportunity to measure the CO2 levels, but it's constantly bubbling so it has to be helping.

This is a late comment but I use a bunch of those hanging moist pads from the first set of leaves and stopping around 3rd week of flowering, explosive being careful to not over co2, I worked it out over time, this works for me and $40 of our rubles lol
Plants can compensate for the amount of CO2 available in the air to be more efficient. A plant receiving 400 ppm will have twice the amount of stomata per leaf than a plant receiving 800 ppm. Microscopes are yur friend.

on my ac infinity fan/controller i set my off setting to level 1 on my exhaust fan so it never stops circulating and ramps up as needed.

We paid to scientist to study this but they ended up mixing dirt just like the rest of the growers 😂. I do put copper tape on the tops of my planter beds. My NaNa told me it keeps bugs off your plants. I always listened to NaNa❤

Electroculture uses a antna to get atmospheric energy sent down to the root zone. I dont remeber if it sends - electrons or + electons but in theory if you think about how some elements are negatively charged and some are positively charges i makes sense how they claim it works
I’ve never used CO2 in 30 yrs. I’m not trying to maximize everything since it’s just for me & some friends. It’s legal now but I still have to stealth grow. In my situation it’s not worth it. However, I can see how someone growing for profit would have to max yield & lower production costs. If it’s just you, it’s not necessary, unless you enjoy maximizing everything for fun like a mad scientist, all the power too ya.👍🤞😎

Well, the air coming directly into the room should be diffused. If only my air tubes would catch on. I’m not even trying to sell anything. There is something about my Style of explaining that turns people off.
Increase in Co2 is combined with increased nutrition and lighting, so if you’re letting your co2 fluctuate, you will be changing the lights and nutrients all the time💭🤔

Nope. Just finished a 3 year experiment. Here are some numbers for you. The gas is NOTHING, it's the HVAC. 4 light room 3000w of LED in a 9x10 area. Without the HVAC about $500/mo electricity, not bad. With dehu and AC...$1500/mo. So about $4500 to produce 8lbs and that was not adequate. The last thing I did was buy a Quest 205, but as I was getting ready to put it into the rotation I realized I needed more AC. I was going to dedicate 130 Amps to that room...Fuuuuuuuuck thaaaaat. I reinstalled the exhaust, rigid ducting, Merv 13 whole house filter in the intake, thermostat on the 6" EC fan and a 30pint dehu. The dehu only kicked on at lights out and it would make the exhaust kick on, room was on point, best run ever.
But what temp do you run when using CO2 in flower? Rubisco is optimal at 90F + and that don't give good flower. I would consider timing the exhaust and controller and try dosing with exhaust. I've seen that they use it outdoors on less valuable crops. Not greenhouse, OUTDOOR. Plus CO2 gives you Carbon weight, but not complex Carbon weight, just bulk. I want complex Carbon chains.
So if I put say a C02 bottle in my setup and pump C02 into the tent but would the fans pull all the C02 out ?. I have intake and exhaust fans keeping fresh air in the tent so it seems like the exhaust would defeat the purpose of adding Co2.
Yes your right, But if you have your tent in a lung room you can pump your co2 into the lung rooom.

I have natural CO2 around 900 in my tent all the time sometimes higher....maybe because my tent is in my basement.
I’m just not down with c o2.
So plants eat Co2 and expel oxygen. Mushrooms eat oxygen and explel Co2. Can aiding mushrooms to in the growing space beneficial to both? Something like a turkey tail or a loins mane, would it be detrimental to the plants? Young or old?
They already do these look them up, they selected a non fruiting slow-growing mycelium that still functions exposed to light

I’ve always wondered why you push CO2 so much if your motto is making growing easy and cheap.Having a sealed room with an AC and dehumidifier always battling to keep the environment right is not “easy” or “cheap”.
Are CO2 grow bags worth the cost? I am only able to raise the CO2 levels to 440 with 2 bags. I have wondered if the bags are worth the expense.

THEY DONT WORK. have tried many times doesn’t even move your meter. DO NOT BUY exhale. Such a rip off. Mushroom bags do not work. Never will. They are a scam. Hope this helps
