this is what you call a REAL ARCADE!! this is what i used to frequent a lot in my teenage days in the early 90s. Pizza, hotdogs, and games and girls!!! That's all we had back then!!!! Love this!!!!
I agree, this is a real arcade. I love hanging out at Starcade. I wish I could have seen arcades back in the day, I was born a bit too late for that. I'm glad I get to see this new wave.
This reminds me of my early 90s childhood growing up. The good 'ol days of the arcade where we as kids and teens running towards the arcade shop and hangout. 😄 You need the Sunset Riders arcade cabinet. X-Men is the ultimate classic, nice. You need fighting games!
@DD01880 They have all of that and an awesome layout so everyone is spread out in the arcade. I love the Candy Cab island, tons of space for fighting games.
Added to my road trip list of stops. Very awesome setup and looking forward to hours of fun here. All that is missing is a jukebox filled with 80's and 90's music.
I agree, an excellent selection of rare and common classics. It is one of the best arcades I've ever been to. I'm so glad it's under a 30-minute drive.
Back when Starcade moved from Rosedale to Keg n Case, I was a bit worried about potentially having less space there. But I was pleasantly surprised the first time I saw the new location. And then I found the second floor. Great place!
I loved the Roseville location. The new location is better, in my opinion, because of the multiple spaces. The lower level, the pinball space, the upstairs, and then the candy island. It's a great layout and grouping of games.
@@IndieArcadeWave The ones I did enjoy back in the day was Golf N Stuff - still around here in Tucson. But my current favorite one is the TILT Arcade in the Arizona Mill's Mall in Phoenix with the Rainforest Cafe. Love anything with Animatronics or is trying to do something new. Most the Arcades in Phoenix have been disappointing me.
I haven't been impressed with most TILTs I encounter. Maybe I'm just finding really small ones in Minnesota, but they all have 3 claw games, 2 more prize games, 2 drivers, and a big environmental cabinet. I'm sure they make good money, but it's not what I'm into.
Just got out to Starcade for the first time today, really enjoyed the rare games. Cool to get a bit more info, though they have already added even more. Also Ice Cold Beer was way too much fun and I might be hooked. I would love if they add some craft beer but it was fun to have a sober crowd there for the time being!
They bring new games all the time. It's constantly rotating. The rare games are a blast. I think it will help their business a lot to have beer there. I find hard liquor really changes the vibe of the arcade, but beer doesn't mess with it as much. I loved having Nick guide the tour. Learning about the games is fun.
@@IndieArcadeWave yeah agreed, booze brings out the worse in people, beer can too but you have to have a lot more. I asked about beer and they said hopefully January!
My daughter just took me to Can Can Wonderland. It was pretty fun. Now I oddly got suggested this video. I’ll have to see when she has time to go. This looks awesome!
It's not an original, Bryan does own one, but it's not in the arcade. This is a licensed remake by their company and our partners on Food Fight Frenzy, Retro Arcade Remakes. The 4-player Warlords is super fun!
I came back to watch the end for the pins, Haunted House and Kiss. I really liss those two. The others I love were not there Space Invaders and Capt Fantastic. Great video.
@andybungert yeah I've only seen the boards in new cabinets for Ninja Baseball Batman, I did play one at Galloping Ghosts. Warlords is super fun. We just finished making a 4-player Food Fight with them, too.
Glad to hear, the games are always changing, you don't know what could get added. I heard of some crazy ones they were considering bringing in. You will have a good time, and it's one price all you can play.
Great pinball selection. Funny to see my two all-time favorites next to each other: Attack From Mars and Twilight Zone. This video kind of breezed over the shmups in the japanese cabinet section. Was wondering if they had any Cave shmups.
Great pins. You're right, we didn't spend much time looking at the candy cabinets. All of the candy cabinets have multiple games on them. I know they have a larger focus on fighting games then shmups.
The Environmental Discs of Tron is most likely my favorite Arcade game of all Time! Galloping Ghost doesn’t even have it! I would Lose my Shit if they did and if you guys had it! One of my BEST TWEEN MEMORIES! 🤯😎🤩 But I haven’t seen or played it in almost 35 Years! 🙄 Great Arcade! You even showed Tournament CyberBall 2072 which is one of my all time favorites! 😎 Do you have Gyruss?!?
It's not my collection. I know the owner has a Gyruss. It might be in his personal collection at home, I know I've seen it. The only time I've ever seen environmental discs of tron was at Logan Arcade in Chicago. I have a tour of that location too.
