- I'm using Logic for these tutorials, but they work the same for any DAW. Setting up the Drum Kit designer kit to get a reasonable sounding reggae kit (including setting up the Auxiliary Sends & returns for the echo & reverb) & creating a One-drop beat.

The best authentic reggae beat tutorial i found on YT. I've learned so much. Thank you.
Chief.. I just wanted to comment and show my appreciation at the amount of work you put in to making these videos.
I have learned soooooooooooooo much off your videos. It's like a masterclass in Reggae and Dub Rhythmn.
Thanks!
Thank you for this in-depth tutorial. I thoroughly enjoyed following it and creating the same short queue as in the video in the process. Look forward to doing the next clips!
Thanks a lot for all your work, and the time you spent for beginners like me.
Love from Paris
I was stuck in the middle of my reggae track, and you answered ever question I had .. thank you!
Such a service to the community and future of this genre and future sub genres... very generous to have provided these detailed instructions for free. I have learned so much... even little tips like avoid certain delay timings when your using swing... priceless nuggets of information throughout the entire series. I am using the mixed drums as the foundation of my tracks for now.. and getting stuck into designing baselines. Seriously mate... this is such a great service to the genre and to the youth wanting to deepen their knowledge of the genre.
This was incredible! Loved how you explained everything so straight forward and with good taste
So this is beyond helpful. Also your singing is glorious and it's important for you to know. Thanks for the help!
I'm so pleased you did this tutorial, I used to love listening to the Studio 1 records in the 70s & 80s, Lone Ranger etc and I could never get it quite right in Logic
brilliant - keep em coming 😃
I have learnt more about Logic in the first 5 minutes than several years of using the software... Thank you!
damn that's tough, check out musictechhelpguy he is another name above all names when it comes to logic pro x tutorials
Best tutorials out there, it's so professional/in-depth, but also casual and emotional. Really inspired me to do reggae/dub steppers and at one point do my own tutorials :)

These are the best. I really appreciate all the work you put into these videos. They are helping me get better and quicker at Logic Pro X, while making me a better musician.
I think his content is underrated by the algorithms. I’ve noticed people copying his style and blatantly trying to look smart with it.

Great! I’ve started to use logic now, moving from garage band
As a bass splayed I’ve only ever used software to record ideas, but now, after watching your tutorials I’m building tracks around my ideas
This reggae tutorial, as well as providing what the logic drummers don’t do, is great for learning how to really manipulate effects over the aux buses
Thanks!
Much appreciated. I like the way you explain things.
Very informative, very knowledgeable vid. My Dad played bass for the mighty Sparrow so I'm a bass lover by default, love your explanation of how organic and fluid reggae bass is. Track came out wikid to! Definitely subscribing!

Never been a big fan of reggae..
But of late I have been getting into making Psy Dub. & there is very little out there on how the basics of the groves are put together.
(I grew up around Kenyans) so I heard it a lot but it never really appealed so I never paid attention.
following what you are up to here is invaluable to this process & you know it so well that for me I can learn a lot!
Cheers!
