Great video, I enjoyed watching it. That looks like a great place to camp. Have a great week, and weekend when you get to it. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Very nice. I camped at Chapman for the first time in June. It was really nice. We had some good hikes, paddleboard on the lake and up the creek, and I also brought my gravel bike and rode out of the park and through the neighboring state gamelands. It was a beautiful area. I had decent Verizon service most of the time. I forget what site I was on. It was during that crazy heat wave and the only way to cool off was to “fall” off the paddleboard and float in the lake. Kinda bummed that the shower temperature isn’t adjustable (no cold shower on a hot day), but the bathrooms were clean. Enjoyed the stay and your video is a nice overview of the park. Glad you enjoyed your visit.
We know exactly which weekend you are referring to. We were at another campground that weekend and it was brutal! The creek area for kayaks/paddle boarding was amazing. So tranquil! Thanks for sharing your experience as well. It helps other viewers to hear it from their peers. ❤️ Kevin and Amy
Looks like a really nice park. I love that you guys tried hiking. Although, next time, not in flip flops... Lol! I've never kayaked before; it looks like so much fun and peaceful. Great video! 😊😊
Haha! Is that the name of the road? It wasn't all bad - the rhododendron bushes were largest we've seen and all in bloom! We went back on route 6. Thanks for watching!
@@CampingCompanions Yep, good ole Mohawk...in the winter it's a bear! Good choice going on 6...there is a lot of mountain laurel on the hill...it's the Pa state flower and it resembles rhododendrons. 🙂
My father helped to build Chapman dam in 1949 after he graduated from high school. Very beautiful area.
That’s cool! It is still a neat feature of the park. We really loved this park. Next year we are going to Tuttle Point!
Great video! As you know we love Chapman! It was even more fun with the Camping Companions, Jason and Terrie!❤️
The best! Can’t wait for future trips together.
Hey guys! Welcome back to PA. We have not camped this park yet. Thank you for the preview. We will definitely put it on our list.
That’s amazing! I hope you do go! We like it about as much as Pymatuning! Nice to have you stop by! What are your favorites this year?
@@CampingCompanions Haven’t been out yet. Been taking care of elderly family. But will be heading to The Grand Canyon soon.
👍 good video.

It was really great and from us, only a 2.5 drive. Not much more for you.

The hooks are for hanging a lantern. Another great video, keep it up!
Lanterns, garbage out of reach for raccoons, and my solution was to hang my Mother’s Day hanging basket from it. Thanks for commenting! Kevin says hi!

He hates shoes! If you saw him climbing the boulder, he also had flops on. He’s part monkey! 😂
Did you get to Kinzua bridge state park? If not next trip visit it.
Not on this trip but on a previous one. We do want to go back again.
@@CampingCompanions Ok it will be closed starting this fall for repairs. The park will be open but the bridge will be closed.
We live here...and as beautiful as Mohawk Ave is we avoid it! Go to Clarendon ...it's all flat :-)

+@michelebango8870 Thanks for letting me know! Now I need to see side by side pictures! One was taller than the house!
