This is the most important movement on the planet right now and I am actively supporting it. This is not a fight against someone, this is an effort to separate soil from all the other ecological issues and focus on it with a single point agenda of reviving the agricultural soils with a 3 step incentives to the farmers because they are the one's who are ultimately tending to the soil. Sadhguru has recently addressed 197 nations in the COP15 and gave them soil document around which they can create the policy for their nations. The plan is quite straightforward:- To increase the organic content of the soil, initially government needs to promote and give concession and benefits,,---> that will happen only if government takes this issue as one of their priorities---->that will happen only if citizens , raise their voice through whatever means possible such that , it becomes an election issue ,,,then even if certain oil ,fertilizer companies etc pay parties billions to work against soil movement,,the government in order to get elected must bow down to the demands of the citizens..
Even if it becomes a big election issue today, it might take nearly 10-15 years for the govt. to actively start working towards it even after incorporating it in their manifestos to please (manipulate) the public Which makes it all the more urgent to raise a collective voice for this & other related issues

Organic content of agricultural land needs to be raised to address the issue. Small steps in our homes we are already taking like making own compost, reducing plastic waste etc however the soil degradation is happen at a rapid pace and bringing maximum soil under green cover is the solution, incentivising farmers, and so on. #SaveSoil

#SaveSoil...for our future generations...this is about policy change because more than 38% of the land mass of the world is agricultural land, leaving out the desert and other inorganic soil systems which is another 33 to 34%, which makes it 71% of the land which is going to be without any organic content within another 40 to 50 years, and the way we do agriculture, seriously the food is not going to last for more than 40 to 50 years, i.e, another 80 to 100 crop cycles, already it is dwindling, we are starting to see famines in the world, this whole effort is to get the soil to at least minimum 3% organic content, because it will take 15 to 20 years to fix this problem and we have to start now because if we don't fix this now and wait for another 20 to 25 years to try to fix the problem, the problem is irreversible because then it will take more than 100 to 150 years to regenerate the soil as per UNCCD and all other soil and environmental scientists in the world which will mean total extinction of all the life as we know it.... The land must be under shade from the sun, so when the land is plowed and kept open to the sun for agriculture and after cultivation also we are making sure all the organisms and organic content they produce die by the sun's heat, so we should not leave it open, there should be some kind of cover crop or grass or trees surrounding all farms, because there is only 2 sources of organic content in the world, animal matter and plants and their leaves, earlier there used to be farm animals on the field because we used to plow with animals like cows and oxen on the fields and they used to shit which is the organic content that seeps into the soil and the trees surrounding the farms used to shed their leaves which decays and becomes part of the soil which used to increase the organic content in the soil, but because of modern farming we have removed all the animal life and also all the other plant life from the farming lands and now only the yielding crops grow there but only for a few months in a year until they are cultivated, the rest of the year the land lies plowed and exposed to the sun and the soil is dying in the heat.... There are laws in place to make sure that in urban lands and properties if we have to build a house if we have 100 acres of land you cannot build the whole 100 acres you will have to leave space for neighbors and you will have to leave some land for space and road according to the law and if you don't they will come and demolish it, like that there must be law for agricultural lands also, because right now in contradiction to urban land and properties if you plow an agricultural land every inch of it and leave it up to the sun to get dried and kill its organic content and make it a desert in 10 years nobody will ask you why you did it, because there is absolutely no law to hold anybody accountable, so the policy must change in every country, we cannot bring a solution by rolling up our sleeve and fixing our garden or backyard because that is only less than even 0.1% of major chunk of land in the world, change must happen on the land were human hand is involved on a large scale and that is agricultural land and it will not happen unless and until it is enshrined in the law because what guarantee is there that if we fix it in our generation that the next generation will not reverse it and make the land inorganic again and turn it into a desert, if laws are in place, then every generations will have to follow it and that is a solution because the law enforcement like the town planning commission or institutions that gives building permit, etc. will ensure that the law is followed for agricultural land as well... The law should state that there should be at least a minimum of 3% organic content in the soil and there must be cover crops all throughout the year to keep the agricultural lands under the shade when the land is not in use for agriculture and there should be stringent laws that no one can plow the land and leave it under the sun and let it be baked and kill all the organisms and organic content in the soil which is the basis for all life, and above all else we must give incentives and monetary benefits for farmers whose agricultural produce is from a land that has more than 3% organic content, their products should fetch them higher price and those produce should sit in a higher shelf than produce from a lesser organic content land, that way it will the farmer and the land and soil will benefit. The reason there is such a huge campaign is because most of us are living under a democratically elected governance system, and no government is going to go for a policy that yields results in more than 5 years because every government has only a term of maximum 5 years in all democracies, so every government will only go for policies that are short-term which yields results within their term of governance, so in order for the government to look at and do something that yields results long-term, i.e. 15 to 20 years in this case, people must raise their voice and give a mandate and at least if 50 to 60% of the electoral population speaks out no government can't ignore that, so out in all the social media and all the channels whether RUclips, instagram, facebook, whatever... People must speak out, then savesoil.org and conscious planet website and other UN and environmental and soil based scientific community will aggregate the numbers on all the platforms including the soil media and collate the information and present it to every government across the world and say that more than 50% to 60% of the worlds adult electoral population has spoken out so you have to make the necessary policy changes and the policy dossiers are prepared for 192 countries with each having different recommendations according to the type of land and soil each country has and depending on their economic activity and vegetation and climate so it will ensure that within 15 to 20 years this soil extinction is reversed.... It is extremely important that we do it within this cusp of time otherwise our children will not have a future because according to UN FAO we are eating up the food and soil of the unborn child, and they are saying that already there are going to be dozens of civil wars across the globe within another 12 to 13 years or by 2035 because there is going to be huge water stress and food shortage and people are going to migrate to where food is available and it is going to be a disaster, but if the government and we the people go at it aggressively we can reverse it within 15 years.... If you don't understand the seriousness of the matter remember the food that we are already eating has 40% less nutrients and organic content that it was there in 1990 or before, and there are already malnourishment even with good food we eat and we have all sorts of diseases and GI problems arising because of less nutrition in food, it is said that after 1920s and 1950s if we eat one orange, we will have to eat 8 oranges to get the same nutrition today that's how degraded our food, water, and fruits have become, and believe me every one will be affected by it...so all we have to do is speak out to our policy makers of our respective countries by writing to them or speaking about it in social media, or making our friends and family aware of the issue and encourage them to talk about it and have discussions in all the social media and other platforms so that every body knows and creates a difference in the laws of each country... This is important for the future of our planet, this is not a protest or anger against somebody or some multinational company or oil companies or any corporations, we are all in a way responsible because these corporations and companies are part of us, we use their products and we benefit from whatever they do, so we are also part of the problem, so it is time to reverse it or else there will be nothing left to prevent us from destroying the very basis of our life and every other life on this planet...

If anyone is genuinely interested in putting in the work to save the soil, they should start composting and recycling. Free up land from garbage dumps and use their excess compost to add a fertile layer to the soil around them.
Rally River for Draft is available on webiste on how to conserve soil and how soil holds more water than anything on the planet. This draft policy is now implemented across Indian states as per government order. Rally for River was again a project by sadhguru to conserve rivers, if we successfully implement it in Cauvery Calling Project we will also kind of make sure UN will take river restoration project all around the globe.
The thing is most people aren't aware of the soil crisis. Everyone's too focused on global warming and climate change and not soil degradation. Somehow we all think soil will keep giving us crops forever but as scientists are saying the honey moon is almost over and unless we incentivise farmers to switch to traditional farming methods to increase the soil fertility we are looking at a humanitarian crisis like we've never seen before. Thanks to Sadhguru, who's nearly 70, wants to raise as much awareness to avert a crisis. Let's hope the policy makers will take the necessary actions needed.
Thank you for reacting to this. 🙏 After following this movement, I saw how it is different in many ways. It is not against anyone, it does not target anyone; there is no agitation or protests. This only tries to make people conscious about what is happening, and bring everyone together towards the common cause. Knowingly or unknowingly we all have been part of the problem. And the only way out is for all of us to be part of the solution. Everyone wants their children to live in a better world. That does not exclude ANYONE. Once we become truly aware of this, we will act, no matter who we are. And that is what he has been making people/politicians/media/celebrities aware of throughout the rally, very successfully. After 74 days of the rally, 74 countries have signed the #SaveSoil MoU. And 2.3 billion people have spoken about soil in the last 3 months. The main intention of the movement is to change the policies so that the agricultural practices across the world change towards increasing the organic content in the soil. Individual contribution, as of now, is to raise our voice demanding this from the governments.

Guys they are involving govts to take this up bcz this is the only way to make a change on a large scale, even farmers' kids don't want to take up the farming, forget about people like you nd me will go to agricultural lands and fix things up, until nd unless there's no profit involved, no one wants to take this up. So the policy changes are mostly towards incentivise the farmer to make the soil rich and to the point where the farmer would be getting the perks from govt and as well from the land he is using. The suggestions they are recommending have been first adapted in cauvery basin and the farmers are now profiting 300-800% more than they could get earlier.

Currently speaking, this moment doesn't need people to take up arms or anything against big corps or politicians its not necessary. What we require is to spread awareness. One way you helped is just through watching it on your channel and this way people are more aware of this issue all around. Please recommend it to others and spread the words. People need to be conscious of this mess, this is the only way people can understand the gravity of the situation. So this can finally get into debate and discourse as one of the key issues of policy and debate. Sadhguru knows people would be a inspired for a moment but when they realize there isn't much they can do they'll stop and this is not what he wants, he wants them to just spread the word. They are already doing Cauvery basin plantation. A policy has been made in India for river Basin plantation but implementation is slow. He has been talking about soil since years, now he is making nations implement the policy. Project greenhands is also one of his projects which has planted millions of trees.
One of the most practical steps which we can do as individuals is the segregate kitchen waste and compost it at homes. Compost is rich in organic content. Either use composts in your gardens or mass composts by communities can contribute to this.

Considering the gravity of the present situation of soil a drastic measure is the need of the hour. Pushing the respective governments for policy Change in every nation w.r.t maintaining soil life is critical. This is the best action expected from individuals to bring about a change on a mass scale.
We have far surpassed the stage of blaming oil companies, technological companies, ammunition companies and this will do no good in moving ahead with solution. Thats what we have been doing for last 30 years in fact. Its time to make our governments realize that we are concerned and dead serious about next generations health and well being. Give the confidence to the government that they have peoples support on long term policy to ensure this for the sake of this planets life.

#SaveSoil...for our future generations...this is about policy change because more than 38% of the land mass of the world is agricultural land, leaving out the desert and other inorganic soil systems which is another 33 to 34%, which makes it 71% of the land which is going to be without any organic content within another 40 to 50 years, and the way we do agriculture, seriously the food is not going to last for more than 40 to 50 years, i.e, another 80 to 100 crop cycles, already it is dwindling, we are starting to see famines in the world, this whole effort is to get the soil to at least minimum 3% organic content, because it will take 15 to 20 years to fix this problem and we have to start now because if we don't fix this now and wait for another 20 to 25 years to try to fix the problem, the problem is irreversible because then it will take more than 100 to 150 years to regenerate the soil as per UNCCD and all other soil and environmental scientists in the world which will mean total extinction of all the life as we know it....
The land must be under shade from the sun, so when the land is plowed and kept open to the sun for agriculture and after cultivation also we are making sure all the organisms and organic content they produce die by the sun's heat, so we should not leave it open, there should be some kind of cover crop or grass or trees surrounding all farms, because there is only 2 sources of organic content in the world, animal matter and plants and their leaves, earlier there used to be farm animals on the field because we used to plow with animals like cows and oxen on the fields and they used to shit which is the organic content that seeps into the soil and the trees surrounding the farms used to shed their leaves which decays and becomes part of the soil which used to increase the organic content in the soil, but because of modern farming we have removed all the animal life and also all the other plant life from the farming lands and now only the yielding crops grow there but only for a few months in a year until they are cultivated, the rest of the year the land lies plowed and exposed to the sun and the soil is dying in the heat....
There are laws in place to make sure that in urban lands and properties if we have to build a house if we have 100 acres of land you cannot build the whole 100 acres you will have to leave space for neighbors and you will have to leave some land for space and road according to the law and if you don't they will come and demolish it, like that there must be law for agricultural lands also, because right now in contradiction to urban land and properties if you plow an agricultural land every inch of it and leave it up to the sun to get dried and kill its organic content and make it a desert in 10 years nobody will ask you why you did it, because there is absolutely no law to hold anybody accountable, so the policy must change in every country, we cannot bring a solution by rolling up our sleeve and fixing our garden or backyard because that is only less than even 0.1% of major chunk of land in the world, change must happen on the land were human hand is involved on a large scale and that is agricultural land and it will not happen unless and until it is enshrined in the law because what guarantee is there that if we fix it in our generation that the next generation will not reverse it and make the land inorganic again and turn it into a desert, if laws are in place, then every generations will have to follow it and that is a solution because the law enforcement like the town planning commission or institutions that gives building permit, etc. will ensure that the law is followed for agricultural land as well...
The law should state that there should be at least a minimum of 3% organic content in the soil and there must be cover crops all throughout the year to keep the agricultural lands under the shade when the land is not in use for agriculture and there should be stringent laws that no one can plow the land and leave it under the sun and let it be baked and kill all the organisms and organic content in the soil which is the basis for all life, and above all else we must give incentives and monetary benefits for farmers whose agricultural produce is from a land that has more than 3% organic content, their products should fetch them higher price and those produce should sit in a higher shelf than produce from a lesser organic content land, that way it will the farmer and the land and soil will benefit. The reason there is such a huge campaign is because most of us are living under a democratically elected governance system, and no government is going to go for a policy that yields results in more than 5 years because every government has only a term of maximum 5 years in all democracies, so every government will only go for policies that are short-term which yields results within their term of governance, so in order for the government to look at and do something that yields results long-term, i.e. 15 to 20 years in this case, people must raise their voice and give a mandate and at least if 50 to 60% of the electoral population speaks out no government can't ignore that, so out in all the social media and all the channels whether RUclips, instagram, facebook, whatever...
People must speak out, then savesoil.org and conscious planet website and other UN and environmental and soil based scientific community will aggregate the numbers on all the platforms including the soil media and collate the information and present it to every government across the world and say that more than 50% to 60% of the worlds adult electoral population has spoken out so you have to make the necessary policy changes and the policy dossiers are prepared for 192 countries with each having different recommendations according to the type of land and soil each country has and depending on their economic activity and vegetation and climate so it will ensure that within 15 to 20 years this soil extinction is reversed....
It is extremely important that we do it within this cusp of time otherwise our children will not have a future because according to UN FAO we are eating up the food and soil of the unborn child, and they are saying that already there are going to be dozens of civil wars across the globe within another 12 to 13 years or by 2035 because there is going to be huge water stress and food shortage and people are going to migrate to where food is available and it is going to be a disaster, but if the government and we the people go at it aggressively we can reverse it within 15 years....
If you don't understand the seriousness of the matter remember the food that we are already eating has 40% less nutrients and organic content that it was there in 1990 or before, and there are already malnourishment even with good food we eat and we have all sorts of diseases and GI problems arising because of less nutrition in food, it is said that after 1920s and 1950s if we eat one orange, we will have to eat 8 oranges to get the same nutrition today that's how degraded our food, water, and fruits have become, and believe me every one will be affected by it...so all we have to do is speak out to our policy makers of our respective countries by writing to them or speaking about it in social media, or making our friends and family aware of the issue and encourage them to talk about it and have discussions in all the social media and other platforms so that every body knows and creates a difference in the laws of each country...
This is important for the future of our planet, this is not a protest or anger against somebody or some multinational company or oil companies or any corporations, we are all in a way responsible because these corporations and companies are part of us, we use their products and we benefit from whatever they do, so we are also part of the problem, so it is time to reverse it or else there will be nothing left to prevent us from destroying the very basis of our life and every other life on this planet...

The thing is most people aren't aware of the soil crisis. Everyone's too focused on global warming and climate change and not soil degradation. Somehow we all think soil will keep giving us crops forever but as scientists are saying the honey moon is almost over and unless we incentivise farmers to switch to traditional farming methods to increase the soil fertility we are looking at a humanitarian crisis like we've never seen before. Thanks to Sadhguru, who's nearly 70, wants to raise as much awareness to avert a crisis. Let's hope the policy makers will take the necessary actions needed.
Thank you for reacting to this. 🙏 After following this movement, I saw how it is different in many ways. It is not against anyone, it does not target anyone; there is no agitation or protests. This only tries to make people conscious about what is happening, and bring everyone together towards the common cause. Knowingly or unknowingly we all have been part of the problem. And the only way out is for all of us to be part of the solution. Everyone wants their children to live in a better world. That does not exclude ANYONE. Once we become truly aware of this, we will act, no matter who we are. And that is what he has been making people/politicians/media/celebrities aware of throughout the rally, very successfully.
After 74 days of the rally, 74 countries have signed the #SaveSoil MoU. And 2.3 billion people have spoken about soil in the last 3 months. The main intention of the movement is to change the policies so that the agricultural practices across the world change towards increasing the organic content in the soil. Individual contribution, as of now, is to raise our voice demanding this from the governments.

Guys they are involving govts to take this up bcz this is the only way to make a change on a large scale, even farmers' kids don't want to take up the farming, forget about people like you nd me will go to agricultural lands and fix things up, until nd unless there's no profit involved, no one wants to take this up. So the policy changes are mostly towards incentivise the farmer to make the soil rich and to the point where the farmer would be getting the perks from govt and as well from the land he is using. The suggestions they are recommending have been first adapted in cauvery basin and the farmers are now profiting 300-800% more than they could get earlier.

Currently speaking, this moment doesn't need people to take up arms or anything against big corps or politicians its not necessary. What we require is to spread awareness. One way you helped is just through watching it on your channel and this way people are more aware of this issue all around. Please recommend it to others and spread the words. People need to be conscious of this mess, this is the only way people can understand the gravity of the situation. So this can finally get into debate and discourse as one of the key issues of policy and debate. Sadhguru knows people would be a inspired for a moment but when they realize there isn't much they can do they'll stop and this is not what he wants, he wants them to just spread the word. Once this because a conscious issue in politicians mind, a policy framework coming out of it is the end goal.
All those countries where he rallies, his end goal is to have a policy change so they are focused on sorting out the issues of soil. - Due to wrong agricultural practices in massive industrial scale all over the world, the soil is loosing its organic content which is leading to its extinction and if the status quo is maintained within a few decades most of the planet will be an uncultivable desert
- The #savesoil campaign which is a part of the Conscious Planet movement is mainly about bringing a policy change in the way agriculture is done in the whole world.
- Isha Foundation with the help of many scholars and scientists all over the world has crafted policy documents exclusively for each country in the world paying attention to their own unique ecology and climatic conditions on how can they avoid further loss of microbial life in the soil (this would become more of a guidebook/ recommendation for framing a soil policy for each country).
The recommendations will focus on saving the soil along with addressing several other aspects such as :
- improving the nutruitional values in the food
- helping carbon absorption - thus reducing global warming
- creating an economical benefit by introducing a combination of tree-based agriculture for every farmer along with their standard crops.
- improving underground water levels and many more...
Several nations have come forward and joined the movement signing MOU's with Isha and the team. The movement has started and is growing - but needs everyone's participation to reach and move the whole human world.

They are already doing Cauvery basin plantation. A policy has been made in India for river Basin plantation but implementation is slow.
He has been talking about soil since years, now he is making nations implement the policy.

One of the most practical steps which we can do as individuals is the segregate kitchen waste and compost it at homes. Compost is rich in organic content. Either use composts in your gardens or mass composts by communities can contribute to this.
