I'm almost to a B license(former military freefall jumper) and I'm buying this canopy!!!!...no question!!! Im an novice(retread) jumper and I sure this is the wing for me!!!!!
Next time I'll have to start flare higher just because it takes more time to slow down and bleed off speed compared to other canopies I've flown so far
Yeah same as the Sabre 2, I recently downsized and don't really know how to shut the canopy down. With this one I start my flare a little higher and smoothly plane out. I'm taking a canopy course soon to learn a bit more.
I liked the storm, super capable canopy but I haven’t flown one in years. Not sure I could give a review of it vs the Sabre 3. It has F-111 bottom skin if I remember correctly, meaning it has a better sink rate for accuracy and demos
Just ordered one today, I'll admit it was partly due to your average review (because I can relate) and I really wanted one anyways...lol Always happy to get your input and hopefully me and the GF will catch you at Sebastian in the future. You mind telling me what your wingload was on this canopy?
Nice and informative video. I will get my first rig soon and got an offer for a Sabre 2 and Safire 2. Do you have an advice or pros and cons which one you would recommend for a new Skydiver under 100 jumps? Cool music tracks by the way. Do you have a compilation?
I haven’t jumped a Safire but I have a friend who loves it. It has a really long snivel, a bit longer than the Sabre 2. I’d try to jump one before buying if possible.
Have you flown a pilot before? What you described sounds like a pilot. (I've flown sabre 1, 2, silouhette, saphire, and my current canopy which is a pilot) Currently looking to downsize and its between the sabre 3 and another pilot. Just curious how you might compare the two.
No I haven’t flown a pilot before but a few people have recommended it after this video. I was looking for one but I found my current canopy for like $900 so it was a bargain
This was a solid video, production wise. Just bought a custom Sabre 3. Start making videos again
I love mine. 180 weight with a 210 Sabre 3. I just flew it for the 1st time 2 weeks ago. Thanks for the ideas to test.
Great review! I am about to talk about it too. I'll get in touch with you!! ;)
Are you getting a demo canopy?

Finally started jumping up here in NY and I will be looking for my own gear soon! Hope you are all doing well and moved in. See you in the sky !
Yes doing well just got super busy with work and life and pregnancy and house lists and everything! Glad to see you’re back at it
Nice input, especially the bummer of having to give it back, ha, ha!
Thanks for this review! 🤙 I’m planning to demo one next month 😁
Just flew saber3 for the first time today and wow that thing MOVES. Really enjoyed it

@@PernDog Are you doing the flare in stages or all at once?
@@jamesdupuis4140 Always a 2-stage flare
I really liked your review !!! Got one ordered and supposed to ship to me July 10......cant wait :)
Thanks and man I am jealous it is a fun wing!
What was the sticker price on it????
I want one ! Especially broke my leg 5 weeks ago on my Pilot 188.
Highly recommend trying a Fluid wings echo.
I’ve heard a lot of people talking about it. Do they have demos?
@@PernDog Yes. Easy to do on their website or by calling.
Nice I might have to set that up!
I highly second this.. Fluid wings is where it's at! The Sabre 2 is trash and I don't even care to jump a 3. Fluid Wings is some amazing technology.
Thanks for the average review. As an average skydiver I appreciate it
Sure thing bird man, glad you liked it
This is the canopy that I am going to buy.
Just got one a month ago after ordering in May it is awesome!!
Great Review .. Thank .. I can't wait to get my new sabre 3 (been ordered it )
Awesome! I’m jealous
@@PernDog lol .. u will get one day .. ;-)
2 more ?'s. 1. What were your thoughts of the storm? Likes/dislikes? 2. A comparison of a storm to Sabre3 of the same size? Thoughts? Thx!!!

So stoked on this canopy man!! wanna have one RN...
I think they’re gonna sell a lot of these. Great canopy! ESP for average jumpers like me
What was your wing loading @Mike?
Super Review! Thanks!👍🏻🤙🏻

If you don't jump a T-10 you have not lived.
thanks, man! blue sky
Glad you liked it
What are you jumping normally and how does it compare to the sabre3? Thanks for another top vid. Hope the fam are doing well

In that clip at 2:16, are you aware that the brakes aren't set properly? It's a really common mistake, maybe do a video about it? Nice review btw
Nice catch. Yes that video segment was from like two years ago, I’ve since been routing them the way PD recommends
whats your wingload?, how many jumps do you have?

@@PernDog I feel that. I got mine for 550 and a favor. Was well worth it to keep from breaking the bank. 😁
Wich size was your‘s and on wich wingload ?
A 170 loaded at 1.2. I wanted to try the 150 but I’m not super current this year so decided to stay a little lighter
What was your WL? Thx
Loaded at 1.2
Last thing I remember about canopies that I was begging my coach to downsize from 220 to 190.
That's interesting, I'm currently in the process of buying my first rig right after finishing aff, and they recommended me to get a 170 right away
Depends on what you weigh because most coaches I know suggest a 1:1 wing loading so you don’t float away in a light breeze 👊🏻
@@PernDog Btw, they changed their mind and suggested me to get a 150 now 🤣
Whats your exit weight? (Bodyweight +25 lbs)
@@PernDog 150 + 25
How much a difference going from Strom to S3 of the same size? Thx!
I'm flying a Storm now.. what's are the differences?
👍👍
