I am Sabre 2 owner. I demoed the same size sabre 3, I found the opening better, front risers require much less pressure to get more out of it, the brake lines were longer than I am used to but not crazy. I also demoed a downsize sabre 3 and I liked it so much I bought one! Great canopy
I love my Sabre 3. By the way, your channel helped me when I was a student. My French is terrible now despite 4 years of it. Merci beaucoup, mon ami! J'aime votre soutien. I hope I got that right.
As a noob, i find your videos great reference to have along with formal lessons at skydiving school. Youre really good at explaining and your videos are really inspiring!
I use to Jump Sabre 190 as a (C) Jumper, Have not jumped in awhile but want to get back in. Impressed with Sabre3. Thank you for all you do. Enjoy all your videos
If your a new A licensed jumper thinking about this canopy I suggest connecting with one of the places that offer demo jumps and making a few before downsizing from the size your used to flying. More responsiveness is something you should gradually build up to for your own safety gaining experience. If your hesitant in what to do in turbulence, maybe Leary of aggressive turns lossing altitude faster get a little more aggressive in your turns, better flight control and when truly comfortable and bored, go for a demo jump of this canopy in the same size. Make at least three jumps on it and if your ready downsize one size and live with it for the next 30 - 50 jumps . Have you stalled a canopy? Found yourself naturally doing mild swoop landings with ease? There was a period I had gone over a decade without jumping and retook the student course. My instructors crapped Thier pants when I started spiraling down and swooped in. Two were screaming and another laughing like crazy reminding them I had experience. My only question was how to get a canopy into a five. hit the brakes just right so you swing under and over the canopy in a 360. Where the hell did you jump they asked? Sheridan, Oregon. Oh hell no, we heard about you guys, not on our DZ.
i mean it sounds nice, but it's also what we hear about every new canopy "Great openings" "great performance" "a wing for everyone" "gentle when lightly loaded, a swooping machine when heavy loaded" "can be used for anything" "some of the most experienced pilots in the world use/used it" etc... etc... I mean i can't blame them. No one wants to advertise their canopy like: "opens like shit, flies ok, boring to fly, will break apart after 500 jumps. We spend years in R&D to be exactly where we were before. 40 Jump Jerry over there thinks it's alright" (not speaking about the Sabre3 here. Just in general) But I'll believe it when i see it
Yes... :), Already ordered one and will be ready July 10th :) I currently have a Sabre 150 and a Sabre 2 150..... Love your videos....keep up the good work I watch them all.

4 weeks ago John Leblanc where with 15 central america skydivers in a meeting via Zoom from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador and we where the first ones to know about a new PD canopy.
Sabre2 is a totally different project than Sabre1. In fact, the PD only took advantage of the famous name. Sabre3, on the other hand, seems to me to be an evolution of Sabre2 that presents more openings in the axis and consistent. I have the Saber2 /190 and I don't think it has bad openings, unless you pack like in Sabre1, as it will have slow, flickering and off-axis openings. The secret of Sabre2 for good openings, is not to wrap the tail too much, in fact roll the minimum to be able to pack.
Ordering my vector this sunday but debating on whether to start with a 190 and have a container that will fit a 170. I'm still losing weight and jumping a 210 now at 1.13 WL. Definitely doable with a 20-22 week production time and definitely want a sabre3 but it's still so new and hard to find used. Crispy slick pack jobs in the new rig though!
Can you comment on the a comparison from the current PD Pulse and the new Sabre 3? Ie: what is a better overall wing for a light wing load on a novice jumper.
I have a crispy Sabre2. The long openings definitely get some getting used to. Other than that I love it. If I knew this was coming out I would have waited!
Have you ever jumped a Sabre3 and if so with your experience, where do u find the maximum pendulum effect point. I heard the best way to attain it is to use one rear riser and one toggle? Can you help me please? Thanks for insightful knowledge of this sport which makes skydivers all over the world safer!
If PD started designing the Sabre 3 from a new blank slate why didn't they come up with a new model name for it? Are they discontinuing the design for the old Sabre model?
@@SkydiveVibes Well, this was only after wasting money buying a Sabre - like, not a Sabre 2. And realizing the openings really as as bad as everyone warns you about. And since COVID-19 is a thing, I had to order it from a Canadian dealer instead of smuggling it as we do... But hey, it should be fun.
Are the openings really amazing? My Sabre3 190 @ 1.24 WL has the worst openings ever. Off headings for sure and the riser pressure is so massive that it is impossible to steer the canopy during sniveling and inflation. I definitely feel uncomfortable flying this canopy in Big Ways. I had no problem with my PD Pulse 210 or my NZ Safire 2 209 previously...
That is interesting. There are many things that can affect openings. I would test them like having someone else pack your canopy, make sure you are VERY stable and straight before pulling, having someone film my openings to detect any false mouvement. Moreover I would add that it seems you did downsize as well. That can change the way a canopy flies compared to what you are used to. Also it is never recommended to do hard steering during openings. Make sure to let it open alone. ;)
Hi! I am a new skydiver I've got 17 jumps and I would like starting swooping.. i havn't the money to buy a canopy (but Im dreaming of petra, leila, sabre 3). But anyway, what is the best canopy to start swooping? thanks for your video love from France! :)
Hey that is a great goal you have. But my biggest advice is to gain experience and work on your canopy skills before thinking about swooping. That is a great objective but try to reach 200-500 jumps before. And discuss with your canopy coaches. ;) Finish your A first too.
what about harsh opening of sabre?????? I thought sabre 2 improved.....but it almost broke my back on opening...….. so I went with Safire 3 since then...…..however I hate how Safire 3 flies, but better opening....
If it’s anything like the Sabre2, they can keep it. Sabre and Sabre2 are both trash. A Sabre2 will open 400 different ways and none on heading. You should really try Fluid Wings.

Would like to demo a Sabre 3. Currently jumping a Storm120 and a Spectre 120. Is it possible to demo at Skydive Spain or Algarve?
I just bought it yesterday a 210 ,waiting on reserve ,should jump it next week in Dallas
Could it be possible for you to make a similar video like this except for the Echo from fluid wings?

*Answer the Question of the Day* : Will you change your canopy for this new Sabre3 from Performance Designs?👇👇
I won't be getting the sabre3. I don't feel like it fits into my canopy progression path. I'm currently on a samurai looking at a crossy3 :)

Where are you from? I could sell you one as you like!!
Would this canopy be ok for wing suiting or is something more stable Better?

What do you guys mean about pendulum effect? During the flare and landing?
If PD started designing the Sabre 3 from a new blank slate why didn't they come up with a new model name for it? Are they discontinuing the design for the old Sabre model?
Slowly that will happen but for now they will still support the sabre2. Just like what happened for the Sabre1.
I fly a Storm. I have about 150 jumps on it. I'll be demoing a Sabre 3 of the same size soon
Awesome video!

Can you make a video about wearing earplugs while skydiving?
That is a good topic. I am taking note of that!
