@stuffeddotcodotnz I agree, thats not a 10. It reminds me of that score KS got against AI in the Billabong a few years back. And then also the score KS got against Taj at Trestles. Atleast the right man won this contest. Judges should be the last ones to get caught up in the hype.
good win by parko but horrible video! way to much zoom, you couldn't even tell how critical the manoeuvres were because you could only see half the wave.
Such a poor camera job and editing... Even worse this was the same the all event. Wonder how did they get this job. I'm glad Parko won think he deserved, but that was not a 10 for sure. Had the impression that the judges made quite few judgment mistakes this all event. As stuffeddotcodotnz said "Judges should not get caught up in the moment and throw up silly scores..."
Obviously, Parko's final wave was not a 10. A 9.33 under normal circumstances. He failed to complete the wave falling off at the end. The fact that he held Mick off it in the dying seconds, cemented the win and his performance throughout the entire event was why he was awarded the honorary 10.
No way that was a 10 but he did deserve the win. Judges should not get caught up in the moment and throw up silly scores for an excellent but not perfect ride. Just sayin'
