hi EposVox, I'm not sure if you have encountered this issue but for my LPG2, while recording in PC-Free mode and doing voice-over/commentary on-the-fly, I realized that my voice is very soft during playback. did you encounter the same issue?

You mention PC recording having a lot of sluggy and dropped frames but what if you just put the output to OBS or something like that and stream does it still do this? I don't plan on using this for recording but for streaming purposes.
Is there a way to get rid of the noise?

Probably a great product (had there not been stuttering issues) if you haven't got a game capture card already. But for those who do and want that 4K60 passthrough, I'm guessing that just a HDMI splitter between console and capture card would be cheaper and just as good.
Splitter still won't work unless you get a just-as-expensive one that specifically does downscaling. Otherwise it's still splitting a 4k60 signal and your 1080p capture card won't accept that.
Oh really, I just assumed that standard 1080p60 capture cards would downscale it for you. Wow am I glad I didn't buy a 4k TV in the Black Friday sales, as I was planning to play my PS4 Pro in 4k and record it using my Elgato HD60 and a splitter. Thanks for that nugget of info :-D

Hi, I would love to use this device in PC mode with tiny/small PC with very low power consumption. Does any of you have any experience using it with not powerfull PCs? i3, Atoms, Celerons, Pentiums, generarly 2core CPU? Please post your experiences !
Honestly speaking from what I've heard if your PC chugs on a simple digital recording this won't be much better.
Mine comes today and to be honest my PC is a bit outdated but cutting edge for when it came out and I expect piss poor results in PC mode. I mainly got it because the Elgato 4k60 s+ can't be bought new anymore and there are barely any high quality capture cards that let me record without the PC being a middleman. My specs are an i7, and integrated graphics with 8 GB of ram and unfortunately I genuinely believe this will be unusable with my specs aside from SD mode. You can try to capture PC with SD mode and you might get better results. PC mode just simply won't be uploadable unless you have a beast of a computer. But let's be honest, nobody who buys this has one.

So I just ordered this online. I am sad to hear it does not work. As I need replacement for my Elgato HD60 as it does not have 4k pass through. What would you suggest as an upgrade. That is not a 4k pro? As that's a lot outside my price range. If possible any suggestions on a product that Best buy sales. As I purchased the chocolate bar with a gift card from them.

Is mine broken because i plugged everything in right and anytime i try to do pc free it just flashed blue for a second then stays red and on pc mode i will record a 30 min video but it will only show up as 1min 30sec video or 44sec video i tried turning down my bit rate and quality but still having same issue. And im at 1280x720 and 30 bit rate and i do not want to go any lower and i am using a laptop. Any help would be awesome thx

Why in the world would they release a product like this without usb 3??? I bet the reason you have the problem in PC mode is due to usb 2. I want to be able to play my Xbox in 4K on my tv and then use this to stream 1080p 60. This seems like the perfect solution until it’s not lol

I've had my share of issues with Avermedia products that I refuse to buy any of them and rather spend more for something that works.
So what do you use? Elgato cards seemed to be the best ones when I bought my HD60 about 12-18 months ago but haven't really looked into any new products on the scene since then.
No FreeSync passthrough!
No capture card supports FreeSync or GSync period.
