Broken FJ Cruiser On Hells Revenge

- While I was hauling Ol Blue up to Colorado to the drag strip we got a call for a RZR that had a dead battery on Poison Spider Mesa. So I sent Shawn and Mike up to get it handled. They got them down and out of there by loaning them the jump pack to keep the battery charged while they drove out. Then we ran into Hells Revenge Trail to get a rig with a broken rear ring and pinion. We pulled it out to the trailhead and put it on their trailer so they could haul it to get it repaired. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

Mr. Irish -- You have one of the best channels on RUclips -- No BS, No Fluff, No scripts or acting -- just straight-up recovery and some shenanigans. Keep up the good work.
totally agree. and also no crappy music. I truly enjoy Trail Mater.
Coffee tastes the best while watching Trail Mater ☕️
I couldn’t agree more
Yes it does
Love the random facts about the flora from Mike, never stop!
I really appreciate the fact that you guys stay with the basics and have not "evolved" you approach. Keep on keeping on! Thank you!
Mike, "Never rappel off just one bolt". Truth 🍻
always good to see the Mike & Shawn show
i really like how Rory anticipates what I'm thinking when I'm watching and explains that the awful noise isn't going to make it any worse than it already is.
Mike and Shawn are so awesome. Mike it's 140 degrees but I'm gonna get out and get the shot!!!
It's easy to hassle Shawn about "140 degrees??" The ground temperature can be a bit deceptive when it gets really hot.
I was working as a tech inspector for my car club at an annual convention that happened to be in Las Vegas (in August!!) a few years ago. Air temp was hovering around 115 degrees which caused us to change our track sessions from 30 minutes per group down to 15, to save the cars and the drivers. I was at the start/finish line checking cars with a couple of other inspectors and thought, "I wonder how hot the asphalt at the starting line is???" I pointed a pistol-grip laser thermometer at the ground next to my shoe.... 115 degrees air temp... 168 degrees track temp!!
Rory you must be livin' right. For the rest of us at some point during that FJ recovery a tooth would've broken off and jammed up the rear end completely. Probably at the most inconvenient, most inhospitable point. But for you, rolls right out... ;-)
"What do you think of wheeling the yellow Jeep?" *MORR's spidey sense tingles "There is a great disturbance in the force. It's as if a yellow Jeep doesn't have a MORR sticker on it..."
Trail Mater Team to the rescue. Shawn and Mike in the new recovery Jeep that needs the shocks replaced then Rory in Old Blue pulling out the broken FJ. Always nice with Mike along narrating about the scenery on the way to the recovery. Beautiful country!
Wow !! When you put the camera out over that cliff ! I am not a fan of heights and didn't realize you had the camera on a camera stick . Be careful out there guys ✓
That was an intense view!
Yup i dont like heights either & my heart missed a few beats . Mike dont do that
Thanks for the advice Safety Kevin! 🤦🏻♂️
Amazing what alil stick can do 😂.
The boys are out on the trail. Breakfast just got better!
what a very beautiful veiw of the town from up top of poison spider mesa.... so mejestic, memorizing!(fantastic shot mike!!)
Always a good time with the Trailmater crew!! Lots of nice scenery, good rescues and lots of good conversations!!
That little yellow Jeep would be perfect for my applications. Not too big, not to small, very capable with a little extra. Something like that would improve the quality of my life. Plus, seeing that little yellow Jeep in what's becoming one of my favourite outdoor locations in my bucket list makes my day even better.
"when he gets nervous, he eats" - truer words have never been spoken about almost everyone.... Great view, but hot!!
Mike and Shawn Show... always a great way to start a day 😂 Thanks for sharing 🙂
Good morning Rory , Mike and Shawn 💚❣️ Your show reminds me to be safe when wheeling. No trail mater here😂✌🏼💕
I got a tube chassis corvette that runs in the 4s in the 8th mile. It's addictive. Great work, guys. 🇺🇸
Mike and Shawn are a hoot. Always like Mike's narrative on fawn and fauna and of the local area.
Ole Blues 1/4 mi times are very respectable.
I love this channel! There is always something cool that they are doing and they are always laughing. And if Mike wasn't doing RUclips he could be a comedian or the world's best tour guide. But I'm glad all 3 of these guys are doing what they are. Awesome channel as always.
You gentleman are the engineering, super brain, multi taskers! ... The last scene right when I post this🤣jk
That's what my F-250 was doing on Saturday. I made a very sharp turn in 4low, and it gave out a loud "clunk". I tried reverse, and it just buzzed like a pinion gear was broken and didn't move. The weird thing is that it was on dirt and I was going like 1 MPH at the time. Must have been ready to break. I'm glad I didn't have a load of gravel in the back at the time!
The tow truck operator was brilliant. He was great at getting around the obstacles in my yard to get in front of it so he could pull it right up on his rollback, and then to get out to the street through a tight turn. I should have shot a video.
Those recoveries went pretty well.
Love the Shawn & Mike show.
Your secret is safe with me Shawn😅 Cheers from West Jordan
Excellent work gentlemen. Glad to see that ya'll are still saving peoples vacations and still making smart comments. The sarcasm will always hit juuuust right!!!
Once again, a great video
Wow the overlook was awesome
I had a feeling thats where the wheels off the trailer went 😂 new recovery rig seems pretty solid!
Thanks for telling us about the trees in the dessert that’s all new to me very interesting Mike
It is a colossal good to have a crew you can trust to get it done professionally and safely! Mike & Shawn for the win!
Another smooth recovery from the trailmater team!
This was such a mesmerizing video - thank you for bringing us along! And Mike- I am glad the outfits were coordinated 😂
Great camerawork and editing on that FJ recovery. Awesome work guys!
Great video as always Thanks

140! WOW! And I thought we had it bad here in Arkansas! You guys stay cool out there
Yeah, for real, we thought it was hot 🔥. Bismarck, Arkansas checking in
12:19 Such a super hero , imagine pulling a rig
Everything goes better when you watch a Trail Mater video.
THANKS FOR THE GREAT VIDEO
Rory I am impressed with how well Ol blue is doing. I am looking forward to seeing you race Cletus my money is on you.
I definitely like the new Jeep
1/4 mile with a Toyota on the hook with the wheels/brakes/tranny locked!
So awesome.
Coffee and Trailmater.
Great job again.
That JK is Matt's Off Road colors!!! WHATTT!!! Safe Travels!
Great shot from the bottom of the rock hill to show how steep it is.
Two more successful recovery's. You guys Rock! Looking forward to your next video. Take care!
In today's episode: a blue truck - that identifies as green - rescues a yellow vehicle and gets emotional support from another yellow vehicle. 😁😁🤘🤘
Trigger warning: love and affection of mechanical things shown
I love Mikes nature mini documentaries throughout the videos. Learning all kinds of things, seeing stuff most people would miss driving by.
Well done, Mike.
Oh, racing Ol Blue, she had every reason to be on the track!
That lil apparatus busting out of the hood is every reason and a half!
I loved watching that! So fun! Wide open throttle is exhilirating. Driving it or just watching and hearing it. Love it.
That was me honking at the Grand Junction Loves😂
Aaaa yes.
Good morning
That FJ is a sweet rig!
Nice to see the old Mellow Yellow out doing work!
Where did Lilli's truck the Purple princess go, did she demand it back after borrowing for that recovery a while back?
Thank you Rory , Mike and Shawn for the adventure , seeing some beautiful scenery and great recoveries !
A great way to start my Saturday. Nice view of Moab from that lookout. I really enjoy watching the view of your office. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing
I did not know that fun fact about juniper trees, always enjoy Mikes commentary! Thanks guys!
Great job on those recoveries.

Just saw the fleet in GJ. Happy Sunday guys!
Much better narration and being able to hear the comedy to the video with additional cameras

That was some awesome sandwich footage.
We love you and your footage Mike! I swear, you are a natural.
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Another great video thanks!!!
that was a beautiful view of moab😃
Great show, great crew, great view, great office to work in.
I watched the drag video but since you brought it up again... 17.5 sec at 75mph might be slow for a musclecar but back in the musclecar era there weren't many non-muscle cars that could run that fast. By coincidence I just saw a Road&Track magazine road test reprint on the internet of a Pontiac Grand Am with 400 cubic inch V8- it ran 17.5 sec at 77mph.
Bad ground on SxS. Rainman taught me that...
Always thought if i won the lottery, I'd buy one of those Yotas, same color too! But maybe not, now...
❤Love❤ the scenery!! And so fun going to new places!!
Buy what you want. They all break sooner or later. That is the one thing I've learned watching here.
Your videos are like a window into your world, love the view!
Bot
See you Monday can't wait
you are always super to watch
That is sneaky. You drive the yellow rig, and they think yay Matts off road if coming. Then, surprise, it's Shaun and Mike. Haha.
Loved seeing you at the drag strip.
Thanks for winching and wheeling.
Looking good 👍😎✊
I got an idea for theatrical purposes.Mount a degree finder.
To the roof of your recovery rigs on the inside so you can just stick the camera to the degree finder and show people how Steep it is
Omg. Mike your a hoot. Make me laugh every time. I hope your all getting paid well. Lol
Nice video guys thanks for the killer camera shot
Right after that new obstacle that rock that has sand in front of it . Has anyone jumped up that to the flat top on a motorcycle ? It looks doable ( when I was younger )
that's just way too hot 🔥 glad you got consistent times at the drags the few drag racers I know always said that was more important than being fast I must say that old blue is about the most versatile rig I've ever seen 🤠👍👍
great as always great content very entertaining
lol all Rory is doing is adding to the customers souvenir trail memoir’s
I can't believe a Toyota FJ has to be saved with a trail repair,
What is the world coming to.
😂❤
I guess everything breaks eventually.
Good video,
Good vibes 💗
Taking my. Fj put there in a month. Hope this isn't an omen 😂. It'll be it's third moab trip
Loving the new rescue jeep. Ol yeller. Great work guys.😊😊😊
Great video
Hey guy's, another great show, Taikuu from Alaska.
Blue who isn't Blue is awesome
"All the fish you caught this past weekend", sounds like you got skunked 😂
Great job guys thank you 😊
Thank you guys
Pretty kool, Thanks for sharing. Be well
1:33 In honor of Matt's Off-Road Banana, you guys should call this yellow jeep the Plantain or the Mango.
Or maybe the Bumble Bee
Trail Nanner, kinda overripe with all that black, though. 😂
@@UmmmmmmmWhat I think bumble bee is the best name
Or use it for staged recoveries like Matt🤫
@@kevinking3402 not sure I get your meaning
I'm sure glad it's not me in that heat. I usually come down in April and the mid 80s. You guys are #1 keep it up.
❤ Another great video!
I also have a jeep lj. the thermocouples for the ambient temp is up front next to the radiator at low speeds it lies big time.
