I think it's worth pointing out that in addition to the rider squad getting an extra soldier, getting ammo crates, and the bikes having better handling, that the XP requirement to level the squads was reduced. Imo that's more important than the actual gameplay buffs.
I do 100% agree that the factions are getting too similar. Like Japan should be strong in bolts actions, swords and have shitty tanks. The US gets the Tommy's, good planes, and the M1 Garand. Germany should have great MG's and tanks. For Soviets I think of SMG's, tanks and snipers. Not every faction needs to have a 100% equivalent on everyone else's tech tree.
@NeilSmith-y3x That's the double edged sword of a game like this. Some people want "historical accuracy", but the more there is of that the less balanced the game becomes.
This is only the fourth year of Enlisted, while DF start doning the same thing, copy and paste, like what War Thunder team has done in recent years, so sad
I love that you mentioned a no vehicle playlist, being able to send my sqaud to an objective without having to worry about vehicles wiping the whole sqaud in 1 blast would be great. God roll soldiers, top tier weapons and gear, the whole grind is pointless to me when a vehicle can delete it all at the press of a button. Its a cycle that breaks the immersion and puts a spanner in the works, sure i can kamakazi explosive pack most of them but i dont enjoy spending a whole match blowing up tanks with a meaningless sqaud that cant do anything when there is a tank active...i really hope they add this playlist, i would be so hyped for it,

To be fair, The Germans used hundreds of thousands of ppsh-41's during WW2, it was their second most used SMG after the MP-40. On the other hand there is no evidence really that the allies ever used the Panzerschrek.
I agree like the assault rifles, tanks and machine guns are why Germany was unique and now America is the same. Every faction should have their own pros and cons regarding wspinamy and gameplay.
I agree . Not a big fan of how each faction is becoming less distinct from eachother . Like Japan used to be good at longer range combat and weak against armor generally speaking . Now they just get a bunch of stuff leveling the playing field . As well as other factions where they should be unique instead
For riders, I wished that the bike itself turned into a very compact rally point (like more compact than the universal carrier), and to balance it due to its size (and since it wouldn't make noise with the engine off like APCs) the rider bike would only be allowed to spawn up to 3-5 different squads before it 'breaks' and disallows spawns.
What I would like to see is. If enlisted can make lone fighters a regular game mode I like that mode but it’s hard to get a game going. I feel like in that mode you rely more on your team than just having different classes on your squads. Like if the team needs rally points and ammo then we someone to be an engineer in the team. It would make the game feel more real. What ya think lmk. Good gaming yall…
You're absolutely right in everything. to add, they should add the jeep with a mounted mg to the riders sqaud being in br 3 with 4 or 5 men like the apc but not being a spawn vehicle because you'll be able to spawn with an engineer. And yeah, take away the enemy weapons from the tech tree, i mean i think it's ok for the soviets having the m1 bazuka since they're allied with the us, but it is quite ridiculous the us rockin with enemy weapons it just takes away the point and immersiveness from using whatever faction as you said
The map is amazingly fun. I really think it feels fresh, which the Pacific theater was really lacking. I really am confused about the amount of German and Germanish weapons getting added to the allies. Just don't really feel like they fit. Rider class is just not a good class all around for the way Enlisted plays. I don't know how you'd even make them useful. They just don't bring enough firepower or utility to make them competitive against other squads.
I'm playing enlisted since May this year. I struggled to get over bR1, now i'm facing BR 2 for few weeks. the update in my POV: -> the rider/biker buff is really needed, because you start with riders and not with engineers or AT gunners. Levelling up is so hard, so I really salute this change. -> The changes to premium squads and BR 5 really sounds like 'covering up' changes, like you said @HeyQuadro -> The plane buff is actually needed for BR 1, 2 and perhaps 3 as well. -> I concur on your opinion about the faction identity crisis. -> The premium squad change is just a money grab thing. I looked into other videos of other players and most of them agree that the premium squads are not having that added value. I do like your POV because you're the overall Enlisted expert; however, please do take players into account that do play BR 1, 2 and 3. Looking forward to your next video, @HeyQuadro :)
I 100000000000000% agree the factions are too similar, like USA has good the Tommy guns and close range rifles and planes, Japan should have good bolt actions and snipers and decent smgs and planes but shitty tanks,the Germans with good mgs and the fg42 plus great tanks but shitty semi autos, and soviets need to be good with planes, decent with tanks to a degree and great smgs and shitty bolt actions. I also really wish that instead of the devs adding apcs that they’d just given each faction some form of rider 2, so as not to kill that squads usefulness
I meen, if they made bikes BR1 (wich would still be relatively balanced since bike squads are so small) they could add the jeep and make it br2. This way the bike would be unique to br1, especially since now theres the BR1 prioritization thing where they dont get pared with br3 and only sometimes with br2. Jeeps could have heavy mg, so they could be viable along side apc

Concerning an infantry-only mode, or at least one where vehicles are heavily de-emphasized. People would hate tanks and planes less if their implementation wasn't so braindead sometimes. Plane/tank cycling, s--cide bombing runs, and grayzoning have been tactics that've been completely turning off new players for the entirety of this game's lifespan. There's a certain amount of grind necessary to even begin to counter these tactics (where counters are even possible), and that's not a good feelling. There simply shouldn't be sightlines where tanks can just directly lob HE shells right into the opponent's spawn, people shouldn't be allowed to just lose a plane only to hop right into another (which makes shooting them down feel pointless). Low risk strategies with extremely high reward are never fun to fight against in any game, and the usual argument for keeping it around is "realism" which isn't an argument at all for an arcadey shooter like Enlisted, or that they just "want to chill and blow people up" at which point I'd say just go start a custom lobby and fight against bots then. To me it makes the higher BRs extremely unfun to play in, since the game devolves into determining which side can pummel their opponents with explosives better than about the infantry.
I think a part of this is also that there isn't a shared vehicle countdown within the team. If your tank gets destroyed and you don't have another, the next player can just spawn one in immediately. So there isn't that much value in destroying a tank.
US allies definitely need a proper free to play apc, the truck shouldnt be classified as an apc, it has basically no protection, and the british troop carrier is small and can be concealed but is really lacking, compared to the german half track with the 75mm gun not to mention the troops can shoot through the side walls of the german half tracks, id use the m44 or m3 gun truck as possible equivalents.
The M3 should never have released for the Soviets, and I say this as an M3 owner. Pure Soviet bias yet again! The next update will probably be Soviet Pershing tank. I say this jokingly, but knowing DarkFlow, it might actually happen. Wasted years watching this game fall apart, and I'm the fool the sticking by it.
In my opinion ,Prototype or weapons that saw no combat or substantial impact should be taken out or put in there own unique br. I feel like many ppl play for realism and love ww2. Not to be sprayed with a prototype t-20 rifle that never even hit the battlefield. 😅
I would like to state that I know the staff go on holidays soon and I don't actually expect these things to happen anytime soon. - Advanced spotting skill for recon soldier class - Advanced spotting for planes and tanks - Japan needs a 10 Rd semi auto rifle for BR 3 - All 10 Rd semi auto rifles need to be all moved to BR 3 - Overall rebalance to vehicle BR rating. - Dedicated SPAA class - Armored cars (excluding actual APCs) should be moved to the rider class + further improvements to the class as a whole - Improve plane handling for console (I could suck at it but I have 1300 hrs in the game and I still feel like dog fights could be better) - Cosmetic changes for equipment you level up (maybe also soldiers) - Uniformity of squad upgrades. - I'd like to explain this more. Standards non event/premium squads could be unified. The Company/Regiment/battle group insignia can become a customization. The troops nationality can be a customization with tweaks for historical accuracy. Upgrading soldier levels and skill can be a branching system. Weapon upgrading can all be done by the 1 squad slot. For those who like using vehicles primarily you still have a tank, a attacker plane, a fighter plane, an APC, a rider with hopefully armored cars being moved into the class, and hopefully another class for my next point. - Recon planes class. Alternatively if they had a class with an Advanced spotting skill a recon plane with a camera "weapon" could be a cool addition - Add more content to low BR - I'd still like a BR test event for a hard ruled BR system. BR 1-2 BR 3-4 BR 4-5. Would be nice to see the dynamic overall
I'm glad you pointed out the Allies getting a German weapon. Or that sort of thing for any faction. Kinda annoying and something I personally hate about other WW2 games. If I want to play as the US, I want to see only US weapons. Or if I play as Germany, I don't want to fight my own weapons. Same for the Thompson for Japan...like come on. One here or there as like a gold order is...fine I guess.
For the Riders I do think adding the 3rd person to the squad was a pretty big buff. The problem is just that they were so bad, that even with that buff they are still bad. The ammo thing is not super relevant tho. Tho regarding the best thing in the patch: For me it's definetly that when selecting soldiers it chooses the highest upgraded weapon instead of the lowest upgraded one. The new content is nice, but that is a thing that often annoyed me and will always be relevant.
I think the at soldier for premiums/event squads is fine, just like you talked about before, its mostly better to take a tech tree squad than a premium one, they kinda wanna make them also attractive, its a free to play game and darkflow also needs to get some cash, and to make the premiums also more equal to tech tree is more balanced in my humble opinion
Quadro I totally agree with your thoughts and opinions. The addition of the experimental weapons and enemy factions getting TT access to enemy weapons takes away the uniqueness of each faction. The Hyde being a GO could of maybe made more sense. I know the game is pretty strong right now but I hope this doesn’t end up pushing away players in general.
I have been saying it. They need to revamp the rider class into a “recon class” then give the class small,fast, recon vehicle with auto cannons. Would be perfect. Been playing this game for over 3 years and I have played the bike class maybe 30min total. The new Soviet bomber I think really filled a void we needed for soviets in BR 5. 6 250s is no joke and now we can make the KT players cry.
Truthfully, they should simply make the Rider class another form of guerilla and allow them to get outside the normal bounds. This way it makes sense to bring them around to make as a great flanking unit, especially versus grey zone camping tanks or hard-to-get rally points. A buff like this would make them perfect, especially as a 3-man squad.
The game's lost its identity as a historic shooter for a while now. I genuinely hate all the prototype items and factions don't feel as unique anymore. Playing against Japan is a joke and takes me right out of it and not every faction needs a super tank or assault rifles.
I agree with preserving the uniqueness of each faction and I really dislike them putting prototype weapons like the Hyde in there. Like if you want good assault rifles maybe just play as the Germans.
I agree it defeats the purpose of the strengths of each faction. If every side has equally good weapon in every situation, then what's the bloody point?

No, my balance wasn't about the actual power level, its about releasing too many things for one faction within one patch, which can make players who play only one faction feel left out. They easily couldve just released a better Bazooka instead of the Ofenrohr and that would've fixed the "sameness" issue. Or, they couldve released the Ofenrohr 3 months ago and that wouldve helped the "balance" issue.
15:13 one of my "favorite" moments in this game. You realised, the map desing trash, tank camper fiesta map..... All plane and tank holded by allies. Hm.............. That's when I quit, and play something much more "meaningful".
As a somewhat new player, I agree that factions need to be more different and unique. Otherwise, there is no incentive and motivation to unlock and play other factions as they have the same weapons. But also I feel that game has no player balance, especially for soviets and allies. You either have full sweat lobby or complete bots who do not build rallies or ping enemies. If the game had something like a skill based matchmaking game, it would improve
I think for the next update they should drop an invasion of Manchuria map since the soviets and Japanese didn't really get anything this update. I also agree german AT weapons shouldn't be in either allied tech tree or the soviet one, they should let the Soviets keep one of the panzerfuast variants for balancing reasons.
In regard to the super bazooka there were not prototypes, there were design documents that were considered for prototyping but the war ended before they could be constructed. And the actual ammunition for it wasn’t designed until the korean war.
Good: New maps are always great Bad: Stuff that came along the maps aren't even quite thematically related at all. Map is Burma, where's the British? XD
Still waiting for them to fix the radiosquad call-in they borked many patches ago. Used to be if your teammate was calling artillery you couldn't open the call-in menu. Now you can and only after selecting the placement it says can't call artillery. Very annoying and used to work better.
Japan players have it rough right now. The powegap now at high tier is greater than ever. Also the copy paste of equipment between factions is rough. Its fine if it makes sense, like with the Soviets and the Panzerfaust, they captured and used these a lot. Or the Germans caputured and used basically anything they could get their hands on, especially Russian sub machine guns and self loading rifles. But things like the Japanese getting the browning shotgun or the Americans getting the Panzerschrek, that's just walking on thin ice at this point.
Instead of making new maps that we can just use the same factions we have had for ages on, make new maps with new factions. For example, Battle of France 1940, the Nordic Campaign 1940, Chinese Front 1937-1945, Winter War, Yugoslavian Resistance. Warsaw Uprising. So many possibilities for new factions, weapons, environments and all of that jazz. All of that instead of yet another US vs Germany in a random French village you've never heard of. That within itself is another problem, when they do big battles like the Battle of the bulge, they never do a recognizable place. They could've done Bastogne for the Battle of the Bulge! But no, they do a hill with a village and a road. Very boring environment. I could say the same for North Africa and the Pacific Maps. Like, instead of what we have now for the Pacific, maybe do Okinawa, instead of what we have for North Africa, do Tobruk. I mean its too late to fix that now but maybe in new updates they do things that are genuinely interesting instead of Normandy without the beaches and snow instead. I mean, Burma is a fun update, love it genuinely. I just think they should do a new faction, a new front we haven't done before. I mean, Burma is cool but it is still USA vs Japan. A China VS Japan map would be grand. I mean with that you could chose from pre ww2 all the way to the final months. Japan and China we at odds throughout the war. Many possibilities for fun new places, weapons and the likes. I could already think of a cool premium squad they could do for China. 88th Division of the National Revolutionary Army. They were trained by the Germans and they were active throughout the war. I mean in terms of weapons they'd most likely just have pre-war kar-98ks. But I am sure there is some experimental weapon the Enlisted Devs could pull out of the depths of history. I am just fed up with only having 4 factions to choose from. (I know that having a new faction entirely would have some problems but...what will you do when they run out of US vs Jap, US vs Ger and Ger vs Soviet maps?)
The burma maps have been a mixed bag for me. They are great maps and fun to play on them. However as a US player, my team have been beaten each time no matter what happens.
You hit the nail on the head with the rocket launchers. People just want to shoot the tank like it's battlefield and get damage points. They dont flank or bother to go to the range to find the weak spots.
That's basically the problem again as to why they added the super Pershing people cried and cried about not being able to easily kill the kingtiger from the front even though they could still kill it by shooting it in the turret face I miss the game this game used to be before the merge it was just better
Only they need to add is new factions , British should come to pacific , Normandy and Tunisia China should come to pacific theatre, Italy should come to Tunisia theatre
i mainly play tier 2-4 (All maps supremacy) so i cant confidently say how much the split payload system affects br5 but tier 2-4 doesnt seem that different imo. And to noones surprise the 20k system still suck but what can we do about that.
And Japan will never get any good AT weapon ever because they never had any. The excuse to add panzerschreck for the Americans is nothing but lame. The buffed M9 bazooka was more than enough.
Good: the Burma map. Bad: stuff that has nothing to do with WW2 like Hyde, Ho Ri, Chi Ri, Rocket Pershing, American MG-42, same as AS-44, RPD, AutoHei, T20 none of which were used in WW2. Horrible: Chinese volunteers squad in Tunisia, really?
Overall this is my favourite update as a US main, the Hyde does feel like the US version of an STG but shoots faster and has that range factor. The Super Pershing shakes up the tank balance against Tiger 2's. Forcing them to actually aim for a weak spot, although i have found it's easy for a Super Pershing to get a quick kill on a Tiger 2 then it is for a Tiger 2 to get a quick kill on the Super Pershing. I've won more fight's against the Tiger 2's then i have in any other tank. In fact i don't think i have had a Tiger 2 kill me on their own in a 1v1. Most of the time i get Infantry storming me which helps the Tiger. The new map is amazing as well, i think the reason why it's different it because it feels more like a clean urban environment that hasn't been touched by war. You can go into every room on each building (or most) and it feels bigger because of that. Lots of places for rallies and other stuff. The tank fights down the streets are cool and even cinematic at times.
I love the new map and equipment but man I feel like the factions are sort of loosing their identity, now everyone has assault rifles and German AT weapons at high br. It feels lazy and hurts the unique appeal of each faction, why play Germany when Russia has literally everything they have and more
Love Burma! Less chance to get one of the horrific pacific maps... Completly against a Infantry only mode if it is an extra mode btw, don't split the playerbase further and make the MM worse... could be done as kinda events or something tho? "Infantry only over this weekend" kinda stuff. The effects, I am happy they do these things, alone they don't seem to change much, but the more they are doing the more the game subtly feels better, even if I dont consciously notice specific effects :D

I also would like if the Factions retained some kind of unique Character instead of becoming equally capable in all regards

I think they should carry first aid kits along with ammunition, especially at high BRs, where few people use medics and this feature can be useful.

To me it makes the higher BRs extremely unfun to play in, since the game devolves into determining which side can pummel their opponents with explosives better than about the infantry.
Do you remember the event where you had to get a certain score before being able to spawn vehicles. That would be a good compromise.

I think a part of this is also that there isn't a shared vehicle countdown within the team. If your tank gets destroyed and you don't have another, the next player can just spawn one in immediately. So there isn't that much value in destroying a tank.

US allies definitely need a proper free to play apc, the truck shouldnt be classified as an apc, it has basically no protection, and the british troop carrier is small and can be concealed but is really lacking, compared to the german half track with the 75mm gun not to mention the troops can shoot through the side walls of the german half tracks, id use the m44 or m3 gun truck as possible equivalents.
The M3 should never have released for the Soviets, and I say this as an M3 owner.

In my opinion ,Prototype or weapons that saw no combat or substantial impact should be taken out or put in there own unique br. I feel like many ppl play for realism and love ww2. Not to be sprayed with a prototype t-20 rifle that never even hit the battlefield. 😅
I would like to state that I know the staff go on holidays soon and I don't actually expect these things to happen anytime soon.
- Advanced spotting skill for recon soldier class
- Advanced spotting for planes and tanks
- Japan needs a 10 Rd semi auto rifle for BR 3
- All 10 Rd semi auto rifles need to be all moved to BR 3
- Overall rebalance to vehicle BR rating.
- Dedicated SPAA class
- Armored cars (excluding actual APCs) should be moved to the rider class + further improvements to the class as a whole
- Improve plane handling for console (I could suck at it but I have 1300 hrs in the game and I still feel like dog fights could be better)
- Cosmetic changes for equipment you level up (maybe also soldiers)
- Uniformity of squad upgrades.
- I'd like to explain this more. Standards non event/premium squads could be unified. The Company/Regiment/battle group insignia can become a customization. The troops nationality can be a customization with tweaks for historical accuracy. Upgrading soldier levels and skill can be a branching system. Weapon upgrading can all be done by the 1 squad slot. For those who like using vehicles primarily you still have a tank, a attacker plane, a fighter plane, an APC, a rider with hopefully armored cars being moved into the class, and hopefully another class for my next point.
- Recon planes class. Alternatively if they had a class with an Advanced spotting skill a recon plane with a camera "weapon" could be a cool addition
- Add more content to low BR
- I'd still like a BR test event for a hard ruled BR system. BR 1-2 BR 3-4 BR 4-5. Would be nice to see the dynamic overall

I'm glad you pointed out the Allies getting a German weapon. Or that sort of thing for any faction. Kinda annoying and something I personally hate about other WW2 games. If I want to play as the US, I want to see only US weapons. Or if I play as Germany, I don't want to fight my own weapons. Same for the Thompson for Japan...like come on. One here or there as like a gold order is...fine I guess.

For the Riders I do think adding the 3rd person to the squad was a pretty big buff. The problem is just that they were so bad, that even with that buff they are still bad. The ammo thing is not super relevant tho.
Tho regarding the best thing in the patch: For me it's definetly that when selecting soldiers it chooses the highest upgraded weapon instead of the lowest upgraded one. The new content is nice, but that is a thing that often annoyed me and will always be relevant.
They could do a tank only mod like Kursk for exemple. But we’ll see what they will add in the future
I think the at soldier for premiums/event squads is fine, just like you talked about before, its mostly better to take a tech tree squad than a premium one, they kinda wanna make them also attractive, its a free to play game and darkflow also needs to get some cash, and to make the premiums also more equal to tech tree is more balanced in my humble opinion
Quadro I totally agree with your thoughts and opinions. The addition of the experimental weapons and enemy factions getting TT access to enemy weapons takes away the uniqueness of each faction. The Hyde being a GO could of maybe made more sense. I know the game is pretty strong right now but I hope this doesn’t end up pushing away players in general.
Japan didn't even have new anti-tank weapons, while the Chi-ri was really only on par with the M4.
I have been saying it. They need to revamp the rider class into a “recon class” then give the class small,fast, recon vehicle with auto cannons. Would be perfect.
Been playing this game for over 3 years and I have played the bike class maybe 30min total.
The new Soviet bomber I think really filled a void we needed for soviets in BR 5. 6 250s is no joke and now we can make the KT players cry.
Truthfully, they should simply make the Rider class another form of guerilla and allow them to get outside the normal bounds. This way it makes sense to bring them around to make as a great flanking unit, especially versus grey zone camping tanks or hard-to-get rally points. A buff like this would make them perfect, especially as a 3-man squad.

T20 is nuts. Arguably the best gun in the game alongside the Type Hei.
The game's lost its identity as a historic shooter for a while now. I genuinely hate all the prototype items and factions don't feel as unique anymore. Playing against Japan is a joke and takes me right out of it and not every faction needs a super tank or assault rifles.
I agree with preserving the uniqueness of each faction and I really dislike them putting prototype weapons like the Hyde in there. Like if you want good assault rifles maybe just play as the Germans.

No, my balance wasn't about the actual power level, its about releasing too many things for one faction within one patch, which can make players who play only one faction feel left out. They easily couldve just released a better Bazooka instead of the Ofenrohr and that would've fixed the "sameness" issue. Or, they couldve released the Ofenrohr 3 months ago and that wouldve helped the "balance" issue.

15:13 one of my "favorite" moments in this game. You realised, the map desing trash, tank camper fiesta map..... All plane and tank holded by allies. Hm.............. That's when I quit, and play something much more "meaningful".
As a somewhat new player, I agree that factions need to be more different and unique. Otherwise, there is no incentive and motivation to unlock and play other factions as they have the same weapons.
But also I feel that game has no player balance, especially for soviets and allies. You either have full sweat lobby or complete bots who do not build rallies or ping enemies. If the game had something like a skill based matchmaking game, it would improve
I think for the next update they should drop an invasion of Manchuria map since the soviets and Japanese didn't really get anything this update. I also agree german AT weapons shouldn't be in either allied tech tree or the soviet one, they should let the Soviets keep one of the panzerfuast variants for balancing reasons.
In regard to the super bazooka there were not prototypes, there were design documents that were considered for prototyping but the war ended before they could be constructed. And the actual ammunition for it wasn’t designed until the korean war.

Still waiting for them to fix the radiosquad call-in they borked many patches ago. Used to be if your teammate was calling artillery you couldn't open the call-in menu. Now you can and only after selecting the placement it says can't call artillery. Very annoying and used to work better.
Very good video, I also don't like it at all that factions are becoming more and more similar. I am all for an asymetric balance.
Japan players have it rough right now. The powegap now at high tier is greater than ever.
Also the copy paste of equipment between factions is rough.
Its fine if it makes sense, like with the Soviets and the Panzerfaust, they captured and used these a lot.
Or the Germans caputured and used basically anything they could get their hands on, especially Russian sub machine guns and self loading rifles.
But things like the Japanese getting the browning shotgun or the Americans getting the Panzerschrek, that's just walking on thin ice at this point.
They should add more players to the invasion gamemode. Give each team 2 more players and an additional tank slot

My next want is a game mode selection because some maps suck for certain modes
Instead of making new maps that we can just use the same factions we have had for ages on, make new maps with new factions. For example, Battle of France 1940, the Nordic Campaign 1940, Chinese Front 1937-1945, Winter War, Yugoslavian Resistance. Warsaw Uprising. So many possibilities for new factions, weapons, environments and all of that jazz. All of that instead of yet another US vs Germany in a random French village you've never heard of. That within itself is another problem, when they do big battles like the Battle of the bulge, they never do a recognizable place. They could've done Bastogne for the Battle of the Bulge! But no, they do a hill with a village and a road. Very boring environment. I could say the same for North Africa and the Pacific Maps. Like, instead of what we have now for the Pacific, maybe do Okinawa, instead of what we have for North Africa, do Tobruk. I mean its too late to fix that now but maybe in new updates they do things that are genuinely interesting instead of Normandy without the beaches and snow instead. I mean, Burma is a fun update, love it genuinely. I just think they should do a new faction, a new front we haven't done before. I mean, Burma is cool but it is still USA vs Japan. A China VS Japan map would be grand. I mean with that you could chose from pre ww2 all the way to the final months. Japan and China we at odds throughout the war. Many possibilities for fun new places, weapons and the likes. I could already think of a cool premium squad they could do for China. 88th Division of the National Revolutionary Army. They were trained by the Germans and they were active throughout the war. I mean in terms of weapons they'd most likely just have pre-war kar-98ks. But I am sure there is some experimental weapon the Enlisted Devs could pull out of the depths of history. I am just fed up with only having 4 factions to choose from.
(I know that having a new faction entirely would have some problems but...what will you do when they run out of US vs Jap, US vs Ger and Ger vs Soviet maps?)
The burma maps have been a mixed bag for me. They are great maps and fun to play on them. However as a US player, my team have been beaten each time no matter what happens.
You hit the nail on the head with the rocket launchers. People just want to shoot the tank like it's battlefield and get damage points. They dont flank or bother to go to the range to find the weak spots.
That's basically the problem again as to why they added the super Pershing people cried and cried about not being able to easily kill the kingtiger from the front even though they could still kill it by shooting it in the turret face I miss the game this game used to be before the merge it was just better

i mainly play tier 2-4 (All maps supremacy) so i cant confidently say how much the split payload system affects br5 but tier 2-4 doesnt seem that different imo.
And to noones surprise the 20k system still suck but what can we do about that.
I live of binoculus in my tanks but in the super perishing and normal perishing I cant use them so it would be great if they added them..

Bad: stuff that has nothing to do with WW2 like Hyde, Ho Ri, Chi Ri, Rocket Pershing, American MG-42, same as AS-44, RPD, AutoHei, T20 none of which were used in WW2.

Overall this is my favourite update as a US main, the Hyde does feel like the US version of an STG but shoots faster and has that range factor. The Super Pershing shakes up the tank balance against Tiger 2's. Forcing them to actually aim for a weak spot, although i have found it's easy for a Super Pershing to get a quick kill on a Tiger 2 then it is for a Tiger 2 to get a quick kill on the Super Pershing. I've won more fight's against the Tiger 2's then i have in any other tank. In fact i don't think i have had a Tiger 2 kill me on their own in a 1v1. Most of the time i get Infantry storming me which helps the Tiger.
The new map is amazing as well, i think the reason why it's different it because it feels more like a clean urban environment that hasn't been touched by war. You can go into every room on each building (or most) and it feels bigger because of that. Lots of places for rallies and other stuff. The tank fights down the streets are cool and even cinematic at times.
I love the new map and equipment but man I feel like the factions are sort of loosing their identity, now everyone has assault rifles and German AT weapons at high br. It feels lazy and hurts the unique appeal of each faction, why play Germany when Russia has literally everything they have and more
Love Burma! Less chance to get one of the horrific pacific maps... Completly against a Infantry only mode if it is an extra mode btw, don't split the playerbase further and make the MM worse... could be done as kinda events or something tho? "Infantry only over this weekend" kinda stuff.
The effects, I am happy they do these things, alone they don't seem to change much, but the more they are doing the more the game subtly feels better, even if I dont consciously notice specific effects :D
