thanks for the thoroughness of the set up been trying a long time listening to many other videos and nothing worked, your video tutorial has got me up and running, yeah!
Take a little practice, especially if you pre-recorded something on your Android phone, for example, and you have to edit punctuation, grammar and capitalizations most-likely, however, it works! Thanks for the tutotial!
Why don't most of us know about this shortcut for voice to text messages? I can even use it here on youtube and it works just fine, as these words are all spoken I use G board on my Android devices my phones and my tablets and it works the same way, perfectly
Excellent! Thanks. (I actually just said "stop typing" and it turned itself off. FABULOUS!) Had trouble typing this second line with Win/H. (Got a "something went wrong. Try again in a little while" error. Maybe the type of "field" has a bearing on performance? Will TRY AGAIN LATER....LOL)
My Speech Recognition page in settings is grayed out and set to OFF and it will not let me change it. All permissions are ON for the system and every app and control panel says it's working properly. I have no microphone controls when using Windows+H; nothing happens. I know the onboard mic works because I've tested it elsewhere, but it will not open in a document of any kind. When I do the setup test with "Peter uses paper and pen", it does not hear me, so the test does not complete. I've done every update possible through Microsoft and HP without results. I'm on a new laptop with AMD Ryzen 7, 64gb RAM and only had it a week. I did not test the microphone when I first set things up, so I don't know if it worked then, and didn't want to reinstall Windows if I don't have to. I use ShutUP and have tweaked it a bit for trackers, but have not set it to ignore the mic. Any ideas? Thanks for the tips! And, Peter should get with it and stop writing things down. But then again, maybe his microphone is messing up too!
I have never seen one but they may exist. There are USB headset microphones that you can wear on your head so you do not need to speak into one directly.

I had trouble setting it up too. Pick the middle microphone for your internal notebook settings, the others are for plug in microphones
Thanks very much very useful tool.
Hello, thank you for the video! Can I use the dictation function with the internal microphone of my laptop?
Using my microphone to print this, click on the middle microphone In settings if you want to use the internal microphone in your notebook
