Had same issue with my discus. Hiding, smaller fish would not come out and eat as much as bigger fish, and they would get spooked easier when approaching tank and always run and hide. Now they dont get spooked nearly as easily and aew all attacking food when it hits the water. Great video!
Thank you for the suggestion. I had one or two discus that were hiding. Just changing the position of two air stones i keep in a 120g. Those two are now out in the open. Have a group of yoyo loaches that are always playing within the bubbles. I think the increase in activity by the loaches or the bubbles o the combo of both made the change
A good tip for you never keep you're fish in the tank when removing the plants because ammonia can come free out of the Sand into the water and you can get a instant nitrite spike what burns them
Hi Ahmed, even I'm going through the same challenge with my wilds. It's just yesterday that I removed the wood behind which they used hide. Now they are all not moving much don't know how long will it take for them to feel comfortable.
Once you see they come out to eat the food, try to scatter the food around encouraging them to come out into different spots. N spend time close to the tank especially when they are eating… they will slowly get used to coming out in the open. Once u are able to hand feed them, they will be comfortable enough to stay in the open. Until then just have some patience 😊
Each one of them was collected at a different time, my tank is ~ 75 gallons & i am not planning to keep it like that.. im trying to find some nice hardscape material that brings some character to the tank.
They are probably still getting spooked by something & eventually hurting themselves, once they get used to their surroundings & activity around the tank & they don’t spook anymore, you can reintroduce the wood & it should be fine
Thats great! But remember they get spooked very easily no matter how long u had them. Especially when its dark.. when lights are off i try no to approach the tank suddenly & in the morning i program my lights to turn on before i wake up so if i am doing something around the tank the fish don’t suddenly get spooked n start hitting int stuff.. So be careful when lights are off or when u have just turned them on.
@@ahmedsaquarium8262 damn your are right man. I had a black jacket on me this morning and i spooked them big time. was doing the water change. I took it off. Gotto be more careful. they don't like black at all

Amazing video ,so fascinating. Why don't you post on your main channel?
You might want to add just a beautiful branch with some baby Nubias and they will still have enough space to swim.
Im working on it. Something similar to what you suggested 👍🏻
please advice what food you used to feed them
I used to feed them mostly
Beef heart mix or goat heart mix, freeze dried brine shrimps, black worms, pellets
My favourite discuss fish
Spread food about... 30 deg .....
Apple branch, s. Aged. And boiled
Vai ...is discus tank ka size kaya hai...?

That's heart breaking. A tough call that I'm trying avoid.
I understand what you are feeling 🥲
What kind of sand (substrate) you have.
Its a normal natural sand bought from the fish store.
How long have you had them? How big are they? Are you going to leave it like that? How big is your tank?

I'm new to discuss and it doesn't matter how much i hide the wood behind the plants, they still injure themselves. I'm removing all the wood now.

@@ahmedsaquarium8262 you are right. After 3-4 days and they are fine now. I geuss they had to get used to new tank.

There are no lush green plants in the discus environment……just some drift wood
Tank size...?
~ 75 Gallons
@@ahmedsaquarium8262 really, measurements please?
Discus fish are terrible don't waste your money they are too expensive
Can you explain the word terrible?
@@rajadey4919it's not terrible they are worth the amount of money if we cared for them the right way
