Guys I only did like 4/5 days of revision on chemistry and watched these videos and I went from a grade 4/5 to a grade 7 and chemistry is my weakness! I didn’t know much on chemistry and watching these videos really helped + making revision cards
@@lucasc3601 u think bets way is make notes from video coz they are concise.but ideally make notes off by heart to prove u know it otherwise I get too passive.
hey sir! I would really appreciate if you could make a video on how to write ionic equations as it is in the new spec for the AQA 9-1 higher exams. thanks
What I do to remember methane, ethane, propane and butane is this pattern: 2, 2 & 6, 3 & 8, 4 & 10. (Corresponding to the carbon and hydrogen atoms in each hydrocarbon.)
Hi! I love your videos. They're immensely helpful with my revision since I struggle to understand throughout my lessons. Are your videos for a specific exam board or are they for all exam specifications? At school, our exam board is Edexcel.
Hi. Thanks for the comment. I base these videos on the AQA specification but the Edexcel one is so similar that they're almost the same. I'd suggest that you have a look at the spec though just to be sure.
Thank you for the reply! I've had a look at the specification and the information needed is similar, nevertheless the information I learn from your lessons is extremely similar to the information I've learnt in school so far, especially in Chemistry and Biology. Thank you for your time.
what i do to revise from these videos is watch them once then do a mind dump of everything i can remember in one colour, then rewatch the video and everything i left out i write in another colour ~ this is known as blurting, and is a very effective revision method
Sorry, my message wasn't completed.... I would love it if you could make a video on Coordination and Response for my Biology revision just to recap the topics of Homeostasis, Thermoregulation and Osmoregulation. Also would be good if you could make a video on Nervous and Hormonal control for Biology. Thank you!
If you struggle to remember the order of hydrocarbons just remember the acronym: Monkeys (meth- 1 carbon) Eat (eth- 2 carbons) Peeled (prop- 3 carbons) Bananas (but- 4 carbons).
Why aren't alkenes included here as hydrocarbons? Is it the double bond and if so why would that matter if alkenes are only made from carbon and hydrogen atoms?
I like how he edited the thumbnail to write "For 2023 Exams" I appreciate all the hard work he does for us ngl

Which topic in your opinion do students often struggle with the most in chemistry? (E.g Organic Chemistry, Acids and bases etc).
Karma ik ur asking him, but from my marking experience i would say quantitative chemistry is where most students struggle.
