    This warmed my heart more than I can tell you. I have been to the Bahamas 20+ times via cruise ship and have trips with dolphins, but not the pigs. Thank you so much for bringing me along to share in your adventures and especially with this COVID CDC restrictions going on, it reiterates my longing to get out again and cruise. Much love from Merritt Island, Florida (a/k/a Port Canaveral).

    Of all the yatch videos I have seen, this might be my favorite. A grand father taking his family and grandchildren out for a trip out in the water and at a point even swimming with pigs.... I'm sure the time with them means more to him than the boat itself, but the boat is the vessel to help to help him make those special times happen...Thanks for sharing!

    The Heiniger's "Eliana" was the first 76 I saw and it made me fall in love with the APH version of this boat. It's just about the perfect size for couples cruising and those wanting to regularly host family.

    Here is a tip for you when launching a boat with Champagne. Enclose the bottle in a leg cut from a pair of stockings and you can safely swing the bottle onto the anchor fairleads to break it, the tiniest pieces of glass will be retained within the stocking and can be wrapped & dumped

And it was so cute to see the little girl christening her Grandpa's Ivanhoe... is also not a point of teaching a child to liter, Garret did mention in the commentary he did receive the glass bottle, perhaps you forgot to read this the commentary..
    To: The NORDHAVN People,
    You guys and gals really deserve an awesome standing applause for what you! Seriously these are ocean traveling homes!! And they are beautiful indeed!! Truely a league of your own!! And Thank You for posting this video!!

    Of the hundreds of thousands of boats Christened, this has to be the ONLY time I have ever heard of diving to retrieve the broken bottle. Only the staff of Nordhavn would go to such lengths to protect the environment and their reputation. The glass bottle, and even the label are organic. Nature will polish the glass smooth and dissolve the label in short order. This is a zero impact practice environmentally. The actual wine was probably more disturbing to the environment than the bottle. Get a grip folks.
    Wonderful original poem for the Christening. Well done! Many safe and happy journeys!

    If people only knew what the municipalities around Palm Beach county dumped into that intracoastal water, besides street runoff, that broken bottle would seem quite harmless. But then again, that's why they only pump sewage water at night... when people are sleeping. Warning: Do not go swimming in it or eat any fish from it (if there is any to be caught). In many areas there is more than a foot of sludge that covers the bottom.

    Nice vessel , Nordhavn makes a very fine yacht. I noticed no one wore shoes aboard the boat. I don't know if that's a rule you have but that bothers me personally. I have friends that have a no shoes aboard rule and I always offer to bring a brand new pair of boat shoes to wear while aboard and if that's not okay , I'll see you on land. Because I cannot stand walking around without shoes it bothers me and it always has. I've never had that aboard my boats I feel I can afford to change the carpet if necessary. Hell , red wine it's a lot more dangerous than someone's shoes aboard your boat.

    • @maxpower6918
      @maxpower6918 5 лет назад

      I can't afford shoes...or a yacht. How do people get to be in a position to live life like this? I mean how?
      This world has a massive massive wealth gap, people who have everything and people who can't afford another pair of shoes.
      I worked very hard all my life and have never even had a holiday ever.
      The concept is beyond me.
      And I am probably much better of than maybe half the worlds population so imagine what they have to live like.

      In the US, If you aren't taking paying passengers, most states don't require any kind of license. Some states require a safety course depending on your age.

      Good grief. The glass and label are BOTH organically safe do no harm to the environment. The label will actually dissolve into nothing in a matter of weeks and glass IS sand! The current and climate will have that glass polished into a beautiful piece of art over time. The wine is more harmful than the bottle or label and even that is of no concern when you figure the dilution into millions of metric tons of water. Next time you urinate in your pool you are more dangerous than this bottle. Get a grip mate!
