Agreed. Some "Christians" believe once saved, they're better than everyone else. It's supposed to be about spreading joy and peace, when many times they spread lies, gossip and rumours.
Support for King and his cool under fire attitude. Something to admire for sure. It' s only natural that he would have to defend himself like this, and he did it so well. He's earned the right to be fully who he is with no apologies and no excuses!
What gets me is the blatant double standard. For example, people look at heavy metal music with dark themes as taboo like it's so bad to listen to. Yet when it comes to people watching MOVIES with dark themes, people don't say a word. Why is one looked upon as bad and the other isn't? So dumb.
Back I the 1980's too much time was spent on TV trying to condemn all of the heavy metal bands and singers. But regardless of whether or not the music is Satanic, it is incredibly awesome and King Diamond is a musical genius and totally rules. He brings many people joy and his music is awesome..

He'll feel sympathy because he's a fellow human being, not because it is written in some 'holy' book - or because it is a sacred law.
Interesting discussion. As far as I'm concerned, I don't agree with a lot of King Diamond's views but his albums, videos and shows are just harmless entertainment. I think that it's up to people to draw the line as to what is good and what is bad and take complete responsibility for their own actions and live by common sense. There are also important and personal issues that need to be delt with as well.
I find it interresting that when growing up, parents condemned rock music which was only entertainment, while they put their faith in politicians who screw up our lives for real.

About human sacrifices on the bible. In ancient cultures, human sacrifices were so usual to worship gods like Baal and so on, but the real meaning about Abraham & Isaac story is Yahve dislike sacrifices of flesh and blood. As you can see through the story, Yahve sends his angel to stop Abraham as he rises his knife to sacrifice his only son. It´s just a way to explain that God doesn´t want such a kind of sacrifices as pagans used to do.
This whole conversation is basically the King telling the ppl questioning him,"I don't harm anyone or anything," and them saying,"But you're a Satanist," as if that is just cause to believe that someone is "evil"....If such Christians would actually seek to learn more about other religions as well as their own, then they would not have these fears.

The Mercyful Fate albums were Satanic, back when he practiced LeVeyan Satanism and dabbled in the occult. The King Diamond albums are just horror stories in my eyes, but since some people consider any and all horror as Satanic, I suppose you can make the argument that they are Satanic in nature as well. But King Diamond himself is no longer a Satanist, just an Atheist. He no longer believes in any form of religion due to the fact that none of them can be proven. I have no idea about any of this lol..i just like his music im not satanic. thx for putting in subtitles!
I dont know anything about satanism or christianity, but I follow alot of what King Diamond says and by no means did I get this ideology by listening to his music
He did not say that. The tale says the angel of death did that, which was just smoke coming out of water with no oxygen anyway. Watch Exodus Decoded on that.
