@@richardakinyemi2553 As of this moment, it's Google Cybersecurity Pro Cert, and IBM IT Fundamentals for Cybersecurity Pro Cert. I just started a new job and I am taking a few weeks to settle in before starting something new, but it'd probably be something like cyber forensics, S+ prep, and so on.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I was hesitant in completing my certification because I was suspecting that Coursera could question my integrity. I was able to finish the 1st out of my 4 courses in just 1 day because I already have the knowledge about the skill I was learning. I have 92% score on my first certificate. I was just needing the certification that is why I enrolled for the 7 days free trial. So I totally agree that you can speed up your learning by prelearning first if you got zero knowledge and increase the video playback speed!
I was curious, based on your expirience will it be enough to have Comptia A+, Network+, Google Cybersecurity and Security+ sertificate for an intro position like SOC Analyst? I can understand that qualified specialist is always better, but in the same time 4 to 6+ certificate for the fraction of a chance to get an entry level job, all the while we can read that Cybersec proffesionals overworked since the pandemic, and there is a need for more people??
You probably won't even need A+ and N+, just Security +. I know some government jobs just require S+. The problem is how to demonstrate you have the chops to handle an entry-level position in cybersecurity to HR or recruiters. "Entry-level" has lost all meaning since COVID. Nowadays, "entry-level" really means "junior" (i.e. 1-3 years exp). Having *some* technical experience helps. If you've worked as tech support, network ops, finance analyst, basically, field that's adjacent to cybersecurity, then you probably *do* have what it takes. It's about how to rewrite your resume and know the new jargon, and meet the right person who'd give you a chance...
@@CaptChangTalks Thanks, for the answer. I'm curently in the middle of my Google Cybersecurity, but I'll look for adjacent expirience. Thanks again for the advice!
I appreciate your efforts to explain this ❤good job but I am interested to get in cyber security my question is do you think that google cybersecurity certificate will get me an entry level position in Canada or remotely in the USA or I need more certifications
My conclusion at the end was that this by itself will NOT get you a job. You will need Security+ AND maybe one of the higher CySec certs either red team (ethical hacker, PenTest+) or blue team equivalents.
@@CaptChangTalks I have been working for endpoint security for last 3years, it feels boring man! More like tech support with advance technical skills. Is it same for you too ?
@@prodigysonhiddenforareason1239 Take some courses like ethical hacking and/or pen-testing, and get a lateral transfer. Or maybe get into forensics, or auditing. If you got 3 years of experience, you're ready to go places!
@CaptChangTalks tell me where i can contact you to get some knowledge, please let me know whenever you feel free to get me in touch with you, im beginner 🔰 in codings but im confident on my talent to learn every difficulties in just one shot of my focus & im so excited to learn & than handle it out as per skills

This only works for Google certs or do you think its possible for other companies certs like OpenAI or IBM?
It should work for all Coursera courses with some adjustments.
@@CaptChangTalks thanks :)
