Russell and Jon used to live in the same house and they had a radio show together about 10 years ago. Jon has OCD and Russell was super messy, so quite stressful for Jon!
OCD = (most of the time) Entitled 'look at me, look at me' Millenial. But at least Jon has turned it into legitimately funny act, that's something. Not at all the case for most OCD 'sufferers', who are usually self indulgent bores.

Further more regarding Russell after finding this out and watching his reaction as he was reminded of it I now loath Russell. Whe he lived with Jon, knowing that Jon suffered with OCD he would taunt Jon about it. On one occasion Jon arrived home to find that Russell had covered the radiator in Jon's bedroom in cheese. It is just such a sh%t thing to do and that last thing anybody would need least of all an OCD sufferer. But when Jon reminded Russell of this he was eye rolling and whatevering facially the whole time.
I think technically Jon has OCPD, obsessive compulsive personality disorder. In other words he exhibits the outward traits common to OCD, without trying to dismiss or be ashamed of them, and without the obsessive thoughts causing the compulsions. Sorry to be the internet comment section pedant, but I think with how many people misuse and misunderstand OCD (the worst case being by the commenter above) it's important to get right. OCD is when a person thinks "if I close the door just the right way, my aunt Lisa won't die in a car crash, " and then proceeds to close the door repeatedly until it's "right." OCPD thinks there is a right way to close a door to ensure the latch audibly catches, even if the door locks securely, and repeatedly closes the door for that reason. And by the way, that's not armchair diagnosis: that's what Jon himself says he has. It's just for brevity's sake that they say obsessive compulsive on the show. So I'm not knocking him nor his condition. Just different causes.

In relation to Russell's foot flossing habit, my old roommate used to cut his toenails in the living room and just leave his nails on the floor. There was also one time he had a shower with his girlfriend and I went in the bathroom after them and let's just say there was some "goop" on the shower floor.

Russell Howard, Matt Forde, Roisin Conaty, John Robbins, Isy Suttie, Danny Buckler, and James Acaster. There were probably others over the 2.5 years Jon lived there. But I believe it was a complete mad house, but an ideal set-up to get their collective comedic talents flowing. Yes, Jon has suffered with OCD most of his life. And I’m wondering what you feel you have in common with those far away places. One thing I as a Brit find amazing is You are roughly 1400 miles From New York and LA 1000 to New Orleans and about 700 to Chicago. (And about 4400 miles Kansas City to London). How does it feel to be so far away and also what do you think about those people who refer to you as a flyover state? That’s because he started off as a drama actor, comedy was never his passion. He also, despite what you say, has deliberately never thought of himself as a comedian and didn’t believe he was any good at comedy. Having said that, come fly with me was the most watched comedy of the year, not bad for a hobbyist!
John's stand up is very good. Some people (Sean Lock R I P) are better on panels shows than they are as a stand up comedian. Obviously just my opinion about Sean

Once upon a time there was a famous house in Bristol where lots of comedians lived together including Jon, Russell Howard, Jon Robins and Mark Olver (Jon Robins is also famous as a standup/radio presenter and podcast person, Mark Olver is a stand up and renowned TV warmup man). They all went to the University of Bristol and were big up and comers in the local comedy scene before becoming circuit comedians and then progressing to TV. He details a lot of the abuse and ribbing the others would give him in his stand up and multiple appearances on tv due to his EXTREME OCD. He eventually moved out and lived alone in Swindon for years, not speaking to anyone and living an almost hermit life apart from gigging as detailed in his book 'It's not me, it's you'. Russell moved in with his girlfriend in Leamington Spa. Robins moved to London. Olver still lives in Bristol and has a rolling list of comedian lodgers staying with him.

I think alot of British comedians have lived together or hang out. Small country many comics have rough times they all support each other.

That’s because he started off as a drama actor, comedy was never his passion. He also, despite what you say, has deliberately never thought of himself as a comedian and didn’t believe he was any good at comedy. Having said that, come fly with me was the most watched comedy of the year, not bad for a hobbyist!

Once upon a time there was a famous house in Bristol where lots of comedians lived together including Jon, Russell Howard, Jon Robins and Mark Olver (Jon Robins is also famous as a standup/radio presenter and podcast person, Mark Olver is a stand up and renowned TV warmup man). They all went to the University of Bristol and were big up and comers in the local comedy scene before becoming circuit comedians and then progressing to TV. He details a lot of the abuse and ribbing the others would give him in his stand up and multiple appearances on tv due to his EXTREME OCD. He eventually moved out and lived alone in Swindon for years, not speaking to anyone and living an almost hermit life apart from gigging as detailed in his book 'It's not me, it's you'. Russell moved in with his girlfriend in Leamington Spa. Robins moved to London. Olver still lives in Bristol and has a rolling list of comedian lodgers staying with him.
