Still one of the most beautiful instrumentals to ever exist..... makes me so happy everytime I hear it. While I was living in New York last month I got really inspired by the city, and the idea popped up in my head to lay some vocals over this track. I did the cover in one take, and the lyrics were interpolated from a poem I wrote called "Crescent Moon." The title comes from a serendipitous moment I had where I was inspired to write my first ever poem (not even sure where the idea to write a poem came from) after "All Things Must Pass" came up on my shuffle. I was in the middle of writing, when the subway I was taking broke down so I transferred to the Q train. As I was writing the poem on the Q train, I suddenly felt like I had completed the poem and captured everything - at that same moment I look out to my right, as the train had just emerged to ground level, and I see a crescent moon floating directly above the flag on top of the Brooklyn Bridge waving in the wind. It was seriously unbelievable, and truly one of the most poetic things I've ever seen. I knew right after that moment that I had to title the poem "Crescent Moon."
