    Actually the population of 48 million Black people in the US does not include biracial people and Hispanic people of African decent are also not included. They both have their own census categories. Black people decendant from the Caribbean and Cape Verde are pushing for their own separate categories as well. Not because they don't want to be associated with African Americans. But because they want to make sure that their communities are not left behind on the census. But they are all Black Afro decendant. Also all Black communities are probably vastly under counted. I would probably put this true number at between 60-65 million.

For this same reason, Brazil does not have the largest black population outside of Africa. Latest IBGE stats say about 10.5% of Brazilians are black. So there are about 22 million black Brazilians. Putting Brazil at # 2. People in other countries tend to lump mixed race Brazilians in with the black population. Which skews the numbers drastically. The U.S. has the largest black population outside of Africa at 48 million. You have no understanding of the caste system in India. It is not based on race or ethnic affiliation in the Indian context. It is a facet of the Hindu religion, which divides people into higher and lower ranking socioeconomic categories. The Dalits being the lowest, who historically to the present do the most menial & undesirable occupations. Such as cleaning toilets and burying the dead. The Caste system is like Jim Crow (U.S.) married Apartheid (South Africa) and had a child. The Caste system has been abolished in Indian law, but still widely practiced in everyday Indian life. There's a massive amount of abuse and maltreatment of Dalits in India. All that said, Dalits are not black in the genetic/biological sense.

They are descendants of Bantu east African slaves bought to India several centuries ago and today only number about 20,000. Furthermore there is no population of Ethiopian descendants in India. Also, a true black person does not have straight hair, like Indians. If you find a 'black' person with straight hair, it indicates admixture from other races and typically a lot. Whether the mixture is recent or ancient. Straight hair is not a characteristic of black people anywhere on the planet. You seem to be trying to add darker skinned South Asians in with black Africans/ descent people. They are not the same.

      Your information about the U.S. dynamic is way outdated. For over 20 years there has been a mixed race category on the U.S. population census and most government forms. People who are mixed race can also specify their exact mix. So, the one drop rule is no longer in legal effect in the U.S. Contrary to what you are suggesting the majority of of mixed people, with at least one black parent are no longer an integral part of the black U.S. population count.
      The difference between Brazil and the U.S., is that the later has had a lot less race mixing between whites and blacks. Both historically and to the present. Mulattos are rare in the U.S., according to the last census there are about 4.5 million mixed people in the U.S., with one black parent. In a population of 328 million. You are suggesting that the black population in America is exaggerated by massive numbers of mixed race, who list themselves as blacks. Truth is the U.S. does not have a lot of mixed people, of this kind.

      It is not that they are denying the black population, it is just that they are clarifying that it's a huge misconception that Brazil is a majority black nation. Also, having African ancestry doesn't make you one in the same with a predominately or fully black person. If said African ancestry is low. What would you consider a Brazilian who is DNA confirmed as 12% African, 3% Indigenous and 75% European? A lot of mixed and even white Brazilians have such profiles. They are not black! I think that is what the Brazilians here are trying to tell everyone, but people don't seem to get it.

    • @finn3102
      @finn3102 Год назад

      @@dezos2900 That may be true, but Africans were the first inhabitants of Europe and Asia as well. That does not make whites and Asians black Africans. There is genetic distances and a lot of mutations, with the populations that migrated outside of Africa. Not to mention interbreeding with non homo sapiens, like Denisovans and Neanderthals that happened in Asia and Europe, that did not happen in Africa.
