Hey guys, here's another cover, Sufjan Stevens this time - as always, I hope you enjoy! :) Credits and many thanks to Strangeflow for the mixing and help with the video.
You do high quality covers, that is perfect for someone (me) to use them in their videos without youtube hitting the copyright button because you are the performer and not some record company.
Thank you sooo much for this cover. I found your channel via one of your frusciante's covers and ended up listening to this, your cover of sister by Sufjan Stevens whom I didnt know. After a few times of listening (because it's good) I decided to listen to the album this originated from. Now, like 5 months later, Sufjan Stevens is one of my favorite artists, up there with like John Frusciante and David Bowie. Thank you for introducing me to him through this cover, I dont think I would have found his music by now otherwise. Have you heard his new album, "a beginner's mind"?
Thank you so much, this made my day and it's awesome someone got to listen to a really cool artist because of the cover! :) I came across Sufjan Stevens when I watched the Little Miss Sunshine movie. 'Chicago' and 'No man's land' are still some of my favourite songs. I listened to 'A beginner's mind' yesterday but I think I have to play it a few more times to fully grasp all songs. Great album, sometimes quite melancholy, as many songs of Stevens are, but very interesting choices of chords and melodies. And of course great singing harmonies. 'Olympus' and '(This is) The Thing' are my favourites so far. Thank you for the tip!
@@polly.ethylen Wow, if you hadn't watched that movie, I would not be enjoying this music now, that's amazing. Sometimes the most melancholic songs I feel are the most beautiful, like Fourth of July by Sufjan or Dying Song by John Frusciante. My current favorite on beginner's mind is 'Back To Oz'.
"She is my sister and therefore one half of me..." What a beautiful cover. Thank you.
Thank you for listening. Glad you like this version :)
Ravishing! This is on repeat.
Thank you!! Glad you enjoy this cover :)
