Brad, you made an important point when saying "it isn't worth much money". Treasure doesn't always equate to monetary value, and your finds today--especially the Vermont military button and the shoe buckle chape--are in my mind treasure.

I love seeing old things, they bring to mind history that should not be forgotten. History may not be worth much money but lessons learned are invaluable.

Brad, when you found the Brass Lever I immediately recognized it to be from a machine oiler. I have two of them here on my desk, made by the D.T. Williams Valve Co. Cincinnati Ohio, #2 Tacoma Oiler. The very Large lumber mill I worked 52 years ago for was throwing them away and replacing them with Plastic Oilers, go figure. At least I saved 2.

I look forward to your videos every week. You put so much time into your production and it shows! I really like the new additions of the lighting bolt design for the beeps and the slide showing the range from iron to silver. They add a lot to helping us, the viewer, understand what you hear. One thing that you've done for awhile now that always amazes me is the way you overlay the design as it should look over the relic in your hand. That takes time and skill and I think it's awesome! Thank you for sharing your wonderful hobby and the beauty of where you live by taking us along for the adventure!

As long as it is not rare and is only worth melt value, why not make it look as good as it can be? Clean it and maybe even wax it to stop future tarnish so that it displays well. After all of that is still has melt value, so why not?

Very nice Hunt Brad. Congrats on your Vermont Military Button. Love the IHP and the piece of the Shoe Buckle. Congrats on the 1911 Barber Half Dollar. Out of all the Half Dollars I've found the Barbers are the most I've found. I've found 2 Seated 4 Walkers 2 Benjamin's 3 Kennedys. I've found 8 Barber Half Dollars. It is a great feeling when you find Big Silver. Love all your finds Brad. And I like the new special effects you have added to your videos. Take Care Brad

Brad, it has been awhile since I commented about your finds on a hunt. With an Indian Head cent, a Barber half dollar and a Vermont shield state button, you have found a trifecta of amazing treasures. While I certainly think highly of the two coin finds, I have to agree with you that the most amazing of your three treasures is the state seal button. I have never seen one before so it really stands out as the #1 treasure among todays finds. Congrats. Hope you get to go back to the site and add to your special finds in the near future.

Maybe you could reinact these special finds in a future series...That Was Mine! Anyway, so enjoy your posts, Thank You, my imagine runs wild.
