I'm just hearing this six years later. Not really feeling the "cut and paste" of the backgrounds in the chorus (all the choruses are exactly the same) but Jimmy's lead is EXCELLENT!
Larry Salvemini, Jimmy's brother was killed back in 1985 in a car wreck with Luther Vandross driving and Jimmy as a passenger. Luther was charged with Vehicular Homicide.
