You provided example of the idea of chair, my question is, let's say, 100 years back from now, there was no laptop. If we speak of laptop during that period we couldn't understand what a laptop is because we haven't seen a laptop or none of us explained what a laptop looks like or what is the function etc. How does Socrates discuss this issue?

Good morning sir, in Socrates theory of knowledge you said that, Socrates argued that, "knowledge exist within us(conceptual knowledge)" and you had taken the example of :idea of chair '- sir it is fine that if the person is sitting on the stone then we shall not say that he is sitting on the chair. But ..my question is 'how one can know the shape of chair without seeing it(so here comes empiricism)? So doesn't it means that concept formed by seeing the things?
